We were in Savannah for the first time for a professional conference. We wanted some wings and knew that we had to leave the tourist areas to get what we needed. We saw the name "520 Wings" on google and knew, that's our place. There are so many flavors for the wings. I went with the lemon pepper honey and fries. The wings were nice and crisp, the lemon pepper was lemon peppering, but the honey was barely there. It was still very good. Turns out they also have a happy hour. Now, regular Georgians probably arent impress with this, but as a Marylander, our carry outs do not sell alcohol. I was able to get wings, fries, and a strawberry daiquiri (on happy hour) from one location. This was epic. Lol. They also serve funnel cake fries....My goodness. Order them. My boyfriend raves but when we ordered wings neither of us was impressed. The initial personal overview was well...seedy but it seemed to be a popular place since the crowd was plentiful. Before arriving we tried to order ahead. When I called the gentleman was helpful and said it was possible to get three separate flavors when ordering 30 wings. Unfortunately we had to pay in person prior to the wings being made so there was no sense in ordering ahead. When we arrived I tried to place the same order but was told only two flavors were allowed. We waited for our order and noticed the floors, walls and also the parking area were dirty. One inside table where the food was placed to distribute was rusty on the legs and I was told it had been outside during the shutdown for Covid. Not ok. We received our order quickly and they added a lot of blue cheese and ranch at no additional cost. In addition to the wings we got funnel cake fries. There weren't many but they were amazing even though they didn't have any strawberry topping that was offered on the menu. Not sure I would reorder at the price point but I did love them. The wings were a bit small but the sauces were great. When I poured the bleu cheese, I was more than perturbed. It was obviously watered down! That was the end for me. That truly made me contemplate one star. All I can say to any future businesses is this, if you ever plan to cut costs do NOT ever do it so obviously. Shameful. Overall: Please clean up your location including the facilities and parking areas. More funnel cake fries if you plan to keep watering down the condiments. Side note: I was going with three stars but my boyfriend said that he's been going to 520 for a while and they have "gone so far far downhill it's sad". I hope they can get back to good. read more

Juat had a bad experience with the restautant manager on duty in regards to an online order. Special instructions were outlined and when the order was picked up-it was not to my liking. The cashier noticed as well and offered to ("drop them back in") make the order right. The Manager (yolanda) stops the cashier to let me know it was (fried hard) cooked how i ordered. I let her know I'd like them fried harder. She went back n forth with me saying she could not drop them back due to the seasoning and it was fault because they were sitting. "that's what happens when you order online" was the remark she made. The order was placed 10 minutes prior. Usually, this order takes 20 minutes (i order the same thing every visit). I tried to call in prior to place my order...there is a new recording that says they no longer accept call ins. She gave me two options:take the order or she can refund it. I choose the refund. Absolutely nothing was good. Just like the rest of Georgia, they use all styrofoam containers, even if you are dining in. Cooks have music cranked in the kitchen with two TVs playing two different shows on full blast. Service was in one word: incredulous. Now to the food. All the fried food was fried in the same oil used to deep fry their oreos which meant that everything tasted like an oreo. Lemonade was pure sugar. Wing sauce was so salty it was almost inedible. Bleu Cheese wasnt even real, seemed like Greek yogurt or something. It probably would have been healthier to just give myself an IV of sugar and salt than to eat here. If you are borderline diabetic, an environmentalist, or maybe just want a decent experience with some decent food, go anywhere but here. read more

This was my go to place for wings in hinesville. Last nights order was well below average. They changed their wings and some of them are pitifully small. And the fries had a weird, sweet taste to them. Like they were fried in grease with something sweet in it. And they were undercooked and didn't have enough salt. I typically like 520 and have only had one bad meal here. I don't know what was going on with the crab fries during my last visit, but it seemed like they swapped out the provolone cheese for soupy Mexican queso. I'm not a fan of the switch, but wasn't going to cancel them out just yet. This is definitely the worst food I've ever had. I am not a picky eater, but I didn't enjoy a singe aspect of this restaurant. My wings were so salty I couldn't eat them. My fries were sweet and tasted like they were fried in the same oil as their fried Oreos. The lemonade was pure garbage, I didn't even drink it.
