    ABC Salad with Grilled Chicken
    Lara T.

We ordered lunch from this spot to enjoy at the beach with my family, and overall, it was a great experience. Here's what we tried: * ABC Salad with grilled chicken- A perfect blend of flavors and textures! * Curd Is The Word- A must-try for any cheese lover. * Flower Power- We got the sweet flavor, and I thought it was absolutely delicious. * Chik Bites- My husband wasn't a fan of this one. * Prime Time- Unfortunately, this wasn't available because the restaurant forgot to turn off the prime rib while cooking. The staff was very friendly, and despite the minor hiccup, I'd definitely order from them again!

This is by far the best burger in the Lake Geneva area. Perfect char on edges of the patties. Nice cheese/meat ratio. Great pickles too! Amazing burger! We tried the chik bites with the sweet sauce and they were great too. We have had the cheese curds on a stick and the Fried Funguys and they are both pretty awesome too. The menu is pretty unique for a bar. I need to try more items, but I keep getting the burger!! Consistently awesome food! Service is great too! Kind of like a "Cheers" atmosphere!

Bloody Mary with Lakefront Brewery chaser.

My brother in law recommended that I would love their Bloody Mary and he was right!! Where we are from you aren't served a beer chaser! But love the idea. My husband had Lakefront Brewery IPA that was very good. Live music and a great vibe! We didn't eat because we already had plans, but their menu looks great!!

Papa's got a brand new bag, full of pub food! Burgers, chicken, falafel, salads, and other simple but tasty choices. The locals crave the burger and house made chips. Felt like a cozy place for meeting your local friends. Not pretentious or yupster, a good thing in my opinion. Stephanie was an excellent server, much appreciated!

Highly recommend upgrading to a suite if you can afford it. Room service was just OK, the first night we called it went to voicemail and they never called back. It was odd. The service was so-so. Front desk staff were great. The brunch spot in the lobby had terrible service... they didn't even think to ask we needed a high chair or chair in general for our little one. Just sat us with no seat for her. The bar in the lobby had one bartender. It took 40+ minutes to get drinks. Overall, I'd come back for the nostalgia of Christmas! I love that the room had a stovetop and full fridge so that we didn't have to eat out every night, especially when my young kids barely ever finish a meal. The kitchen was stocked with 1 pan, 1 large pot, 4 large plates, 4 small plates, 4 bowls, and some glasses. It was enough for us to get by for a couple days but I did have to run the tiny dishwasher once during our stay. I brought my own dishwasher pods but I saw they had 1 pack of detergent available. I forgot about the lack of oven and bought frozen pizza, so don't be like me! The arcade is way too overpriced. I came to realize that you're paying $10 for each Virtual reality ride. Most of the games cost a couple bucks each. It would be better if you could get a card that worked unlimited for an hour. I think between my husband and I re-upping our cards, we spent $500 at the arcade & bowling alley over 3 days. My kids did love the mini bowling lanes, but again at $6/player/ game, it added up quickly. I didn't feel that the room was that outdated. I loved the big whirlpool tub, but one of the jet covers would fly off any time we turned it on. All in all, I'd return but mostly because I want to go to the nearby Safari when it's open for summer.

The mansion was built in 1856, making it the first mansion in Lake Geneva. The estate has been completely redone but charming details were kept. Along with a mansion where you can book a room, Maxwell also includes beautiful gardens, lounges, outdoor fireplaces, a heated pool, croquet and bocce ball. There is also a separate area in the back with motel rooms. Like I said, I was there for a lil' drink. There's a bar inside the mansion (Apothecary Bar) with all kinds of medical and druggist paraphernalia, with the space being a tribute to Dr. Philip Maxwell. But it's the speakeasy, which is accessible outside in the front of the house, that you'll want to visit. Ask for the password inside the mansion, and they will let you into a dark, below-ground bar. It's all decorated in prohibitionist flyers, and even the bartenders are dressed up in period costumes. It's a really cool and unique bar in Lake Geneva.

My pregnant wife, 10-month-old daughter, and I were forced to cancel our reservation the day of our stay due to both my daughter and pregnant wife contracting COVID-19. What followed was a masterclass in corporate callousness that I wouldn't wish on anyone. We called the hotel first thing in the morning and were explicitly told we could cancel and receive a full refund without issue. Relieved, we then contacted Amex Travel (through whom we booked) to initiate the cancellation with the hotel. Suddenly, the hotel completely reversed course and DENIED the cancellation despite their earlier assurance. When I called back directly, they maintained this denial with zero explanation for the contradiction. Here's where it gets truly unconscionable. When we asked if we could reschedule to a different date due to the COVID situation, they flatly refused. When we asked if they were truly comfortable with a family actively infected with COVID coming to their property, they said we were "more than welcome." Let that sink in, they would rather have actively COVID-positive guests (including an infant and pregnant woman) potentially expose their staff and other guests than show an ounce of flexibility or compassion. Throughout multiple calls, I repeatedly requested to speak with a manager. Each time, I was denied this basic request. Apparently, their management team lacks the courage to face dissatisfied customers or take responsibility for their staff's contradictory statements and heartless policies. The most infuriating aspect? Their website boldly states: "Please know that we take the COVID-19 situation very seriously." What an absolute joke. They're perfectly willing to welcome actively infected guests rather than work with a family in genuine medical distress. We were forced to eat the $400 cancellation fee rather than risk the health of other guests and staff, something Lodge Geneva National clearly couldn't care less about. This establishment has shown they value every dollar over basic human decency, public health, and guest safety. Their contradictory statements, refusal to honor their initial commitments, and willingness to welcome COVID-positive guests reveals a deeply problematic institutional culture. Save your money, protect your health, and find literally anywhere else to stay. Lodge Geneva National has proven they don't deserve the business of families who actually care about the wellbeing of others.
