I ended up calling because I was disappointed that I didn't have anything to eat for lunch (it was that bad, which is remarkable when you're talking about tacos), and the staff confirmed, with no irony, that they use white American and further, that they use it on all their dishes. Crazy. I'd also ordered lunch for the staff of a local business who had been really kind to me recently, so I can only hope their food wasn't anything like mine. I probably won't try them again, but hoping their sister restaurant, La Tolteca hasn't similarly declined.
