    Debauchery at its finest!!

There are so many places to go around Ensenada but Papas & Beer is the quintessential party place around. I have been coming here for over 4 decades since I was... hmmm around 16. It has changed but still the great party place. Because of that, prices are a little higher than some of the other local places but still, if you want to be in a party atmosphere, you have to come here for a little while at least. Along with beers and a couple of mixed drinks [simple stuff like Bacardi and Coke] we also had a guacamole made at our table. It was pretty good. Service was awesome and the music is so much fun. Hip Hop to Mariachi music, just a great vibe.

This place is huge! I came when it was till retry early but I can imagine this place knows how to party. I see it online a lot and wanted to try at first I was confused if they were open they had lots of staff around but no one spoke. I sat at the bar with some friends we eventually moved to a table. We ordered some drinks and some fresh table side guacamole. It was super fresh seasoned and made well. As we were leaving we heard the whistles going the music increase and even some guy upside down taking shots and that was t 1030am. Wish I could see this place more lively but overall a good place to stop when in town for a drink and some fun.

House made (table side) guacamole with some pretty great chips!

We got drinks and chips with house made guacamole and I can recommend all of that. It is LOUD in this place but in a fun way. If you like to party and DRINK, you'll love it here. Very fun atmosphere and great service. Not too expensive for a tourist spot. You can get authentic merch across the street. Very fun and I would say a must when in Ensenada.

Food and beer stale and old bottle beers no taps it's called papas and beer , we got chips, stale, no salsa just guac it was bland and one star instead of zero the location is cool service is good so two star but you don't come for that do you? Fix your food and get beer on tap... Good ambient energy just ambience alone isn't enough. I wanted to leave immediately. Place being empty should have been a warning sign.

Here on a cruise and we decided to pop in for fun, food, and drinks. We cruise frequently but we usually just pass by Papas. Last time that we dined here was around 28 years ago for our honeymoon. We came on a Tuesday around 1pm and it wasn't crowded. But it was wild inside as usual. The vibe and decor was amazing.Music, was blaring from the speakers and people were partying and having a great time. It was difficult to order food because of the loud music. The server could barely hear us. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito and lemonade. I had the guac bowl and a mango margarita. When my food arrive it was wrong and I figured it was due to the music. I am not a fan of sending back food but I wanted that guac with the tomatoes, onions, and all the fixings. Overall a great experience especially after my Guac arrived. Thank you Papas & Beer. Much love from Cali.

Went for the beer. Good price for the beer. Flavor good, kinda like a blond. Waiter's were nice and friendly. Will try the food next time.

This place is a vibe for sure. I've heard of Papas & Beer from others who've visited Ensenada as a place where people pick you upside down and pour tequila in your mouth. That was the extent of my knowledge so I was in for a surprise. This place is located near the port terminal so people who go on cruises will stop by to spend the morning or afternoon. There are two floors and when we got here at 12:30pm it was completely packed. It was basically a day club for Americans partying in Ensenada. There were female workers in very little clothing walking around and patrons paid them to spin them around and pour alcohol in their mouth. And as advertised, there was a guy flipping people upside down. It was about $10 for this experience and we saw plenty of people giving them money. There was SO much whistling that I still have flashbacks when I hear whistling now. If you don't like loud noises you should avoid this place at all costs (among the other reasons). That doesn't prevent families from bringing their entire families though (including little kids and older folks). Long story short, this place is the definition of a tourist trap. However, if you want to watch a show and people-watch, this is a good place.

This is definitely the place to be! If you are visiting from a cruise, make sure that you have enough time to stop by before returning to your ship. Lively atmosphere with the latest music, good drinks, and of course tacos! Staff were great and patrons were extremely entertaining.

When I say this is the place to be in Ensenada if you're looking to have a good time I mean it. A group of 8 of us were on a cruise and docked in Ensenada for the day and of course it being a kid free vaca we wanted a party. We got in around noon and the party was already hopping. I can't say much about the food since we didn't eat but all the servers are there to make sure you have a good time... they place great dance music as well. I will say the only downfall is it is a bit pricey, but understandable considering it is a tourist spot. We had so much fun and definitely would come back if ever in Ensenada again, I'd love to try some of their food and of course some more tequila!

I had a great time, danced on stage with my girlfriend and friends and was able to meet new people. I even had a high speed chase on a four wheeler and some local guided me to a parking lot preventing me from ending up in a Mexican jail. The food was ok the drinks were great but the environment was what took the cake for me. I still have the photo from that day it's posted on my wall to remind me of how life can be amazing

It was quite the experience when we first got there they weren't serving alcohol, so we ordered some nachos which were fabulous. Everyone was so friendly and then we got a delicious margarita came back later to get another drink and was highly entertained by them pouring tequila in peoples mouth and picking them up and shaking them upside down.great vibe!

Chips, Salsa and Beer that's all I have to say. This place is always wild and crazy. The food is not good but the beer is cold and wet.

Both of the meats were tender and delicious, though I slightly preferred the chivo (goat), which was meatier, leaner, and more flavorful. I also especially liked the mild salsa, which had a nice refreshing flavor, and the ability to customize the condiments on each taco. Everything was delicious and came at a good value, and the service was super friendly and attentive too!

It looked like there was some of a wait time, but it turned out they did have a table for 2 available. The wait time is mostly for large parties. If you do come with a large party they have seating in the back just note it will take awhile. By large I mean 11 people (2 parties of 11 people showed up when I was there). The food. So many yummy options I had a hard time picking. I ended up ordering the combination plate as it included a little bit of everything: your choice of either green or red chilaquiles, machaca (shredded beef not the dry one), egg, beans and some fries. I also ordered fresh orange juice as I can't say no to fresh juices. I ATE EVERYTHING! It was so good I couldn't stop eating even when I knew I was full LOL. Side note def get the coffee as it is really good. We actually ended up buying the coffee they bought with us called La Negrita and is a couple of minutes away from the restaurant. Plus a local coffee vendor. Staff is super friendly and service is fast (for smaller parties). Place is clean and does have parking in the back. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast. It's not hard to find, but unlike so any other options, it's not loud or flashy. We weren't ushered in by some guy on the street promising "the best" of anything. It's small, but clean.. you order at the counter.. my wife and I were the only gringos in there, and we don't speak Spanish. We were quickly presented with a sample plate of all the meats available for their tacos. The wife and I each got a Birria taco and I also got a chicken taco with some of the best Mole sauce I've ever had. They had a table set up in back with all the fixings and salsas you could ask for and the tacos came with beans and rice. We grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler, and the whole meal came to $13 with a tip!!! I mean, that's an unbelievable value for your money. The tacos were incredible. The beans and rice were delicious and the corn tortillas were homemade and some of the best we've ever had.
