Paper Moon Vineyards is a gem. So much so that we had our after wedding party here two summers ago. Paper Moon has three different seating areas: and indoor "restaurant" type section, an enclosed patio area, and outdoor picnic table seating complete with a tent, fire pit, and various board games available. On weekends there is often live music (usually 6:00-9:00 PM) either in the patio area or outdoors during the nice weather. No matter where you choose to sit, you'll find a very welcoming, relaxing environment. Obviously Paper Moon is best known for their wines. I don't drink wine, but I still love this place. They have beers on tap or by the bottle/can. You can also choose a house made hard cider. They also have some good food choices. It isn't a very elaborate menu, but everything is fresh and good. My family typically orders a cheese plate, pizza and chicken quesadilla to share. Personally, I prefer the quesadilla. The menu also has cheese bread, pretzels (Thurs-Sat only), soup (also Thurs-Sat), and panini sandwiches. Paper Moon Vineyards is GREAT spot. Highly recommended. This will always be one of our favorite spots in Vermillion

Back again. Just a nice place to hang with a bit of live music, casual atmosphere & wine. Had the Twilight rose and I thought it was good in spite of those who thought it tasted "corky". Cheese tray, chips and cheesy bread were perfect accompaniment.

Why have we not visited here before? This is a great place with really good pitcher drinks. The outside seating area is great and very accommodating. We were able to sit at an umbrella table with our Golden Doodles and enjoy the atmosphere. The cheese and meat tray are a hit and good well with the wines of choice.

I've always loved Paper Moon Vineyards. Maybe that's because of my fondness for Vermilion, but truly, I love this spot. This is a much simpler winery than most in the Greater Cleveland area, so please keep expectations realistic that you're coming to a small winery. It has great charm. When it's not a pandemic, they have live music with local musicians. They also do free local delivery of wine and can ship some products directly from their website. With 2-3 days notice, they can also assemble a super cute, local gift basket featuring the wine of your choice for under $50. All the wines here are excellent. I prefer white wines and find their selection to be just about perfection. My favorite is the semi-dry Lighthouse Cayuga. If you like red wine, go with the Sailors Red (which also comes in the cutest bottle ever). When it comes to food at the winery, you can expect standard plates like cheese plates, salads, soup and panini. But come here for the wine and stay for the nautical inspired charm.

Perfect end to a visit to Vermilion! Nice variety of wine and beer along with a light menu for lunch or a snack. Staff was helpful making our wine selections and answering our questions. Will definitely be back this summer after a day on the lake! Lots of space between tables and outdoor seating

The wife and I stopped here in the evening after spending the day at Cedar Point. We had a hard time finding it off the major street though. The sign is very small and the vineyard is set back amongst a wooded area. They need a bigger sign!! They have tons of parking and a nice patio area that let in the evening breeze. We saw a paint and sip class going on under a canopy off to the side. We ordered food and sampled some wine to see what we liked. We chose a riesling that was pretty good. We were helped by Rachel. She was really nice and very knowledgeable about the wine. We recommend talking with her when you visit. Food was good and we would come back again. We took 2 bottles of the Riesling home with us!

This is a great place to spend a summer afternoon. We met a Paper Moon at 4:00 PM and grabbed a table on the large patio. There was live music being played by a DJ, which was entertaining, especially when people started to dance. The crowd here is mostly 50+ years, but they know how to have a good time. This was my first visit to Paper Moon and my first winery visit ever. It was nice to be able to sample the wine before buying some. I didn't care for the red wines much (and I tried almost all of them) and I'm not a fan of white wine, so my wife and I shared a pitcher of red sangria, which was sweet and delicious. For dinner, I ordered an Italian Panini sandwich, which was delicious. It was served with potato chips, which I did not finish. We also ordered some bread, a cheese platter, and a hummus platter. All the food was really good and the atmosphere was just beautiful. It was a great day to do just about anything in the Cleveland area. We'll probably be back because this was a very relaxing afternoon spent at Paper Moon.

This was our first visit to Papermoon, we often find ourselves in Vermilion on a Sunday and they're closed. Glad we finally chose to visit! My husband had a glass of the Blackberry Sangria. He loved it, good go to if you're looking for a very sweet red. I had a glass of the Harvest Blend. Also a sweet red, but a great balance of different grapey flavors. They have a good selection of food to choose from. We went with the margherita pizza. Delicious!!! Highly recommend making the stop if you're in the area.

Paper Moon Winery. Quick Stop to sample the Ohio Winery Valley. Guys had a beer we had a wine. Didn't provide a lot of information regarding the types of wine like we used to in Michigan

The wine was nice. You have to pay a dollar a tasting. The cab was good. However the service left something to be desired. If you want friendly and helpful this is not the place.

Inexpensive and delightful! My Saturday nights are completed here. I recommend these wines; Harvest blend, Lighthouse Cayuga white, Blackberry Sangria, and my favorite fave of favoritesville... Twilight!!!! So delicious it needs a warning label (warning; do not drink like kool aid)! Food is amazing and simple, though I adore the sampler cheese plate ($7! Its $20+ any other wine place!) See our favorite "Skip, master of the vines" at the tasting counter. Tastes are 50 cents! You cannot beat this wonderful treasure right off route 2 and route 60 in Vermillion.

Great wine with not the best food. The food for being from a winery seemed to be cheaper quality for the price paid. Staff was friendly and the samples 50 cents each. I wish they would give crackers between the samples. They have about 15-20 wines here. They should have one that you fall in love with.

They did not have a chardonnay or anything close. The traditional cheese tray was obviously pre- cubed cheeses, some plain soda crackers and a half a peach. I asked about getting a half order or the "gourmet " cheese tray but the server said they don't offer it because everything is pre-proportioned, which leads me to believe it's from Costco or the like. All in all pretty disappointing. Ww love stopping at wineries but unless friends want to go, ill avoid this one. Got a bottle of Chardonnay for the table and took the other two home. Service was crazy good. Brooke was attentive, quick, and had the nicest smile you've ever seen. She should be on the silver screen! Super friendly, the manager, I think her name was Emily, sat down at our table and exquisitely described each wine while we sampled the precious nectars. The owner also stopped by and explained how he's the third generation of Scottish immigrants growing up on the land we sit on, where his great great grandfather planted the pear trees still producing fruit today. Seeing that this was Mother's Day, they went over the top with a free bouquet of flowers for the moms in our family. Tried the donuts and thought I was going to heaven. They only have a few sweet wines the sweetest being the red dolce. It's fruity and sweet. We like it. They have semi sweet and dry as well. They have a porch/patio and inside are some chairs and tables. They also have a loft area. That's where we went. The place was hoping around 1p on a Sunday when we went. A book club was there and several couples. They also had a coffee tasting from a local grower. The smell of fresh coffee was very overwhelming so we had to try. The service is good. Staff is nice. Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. Use that blue light to attract them or something. If you want people to sit and drink. Make it easy. Flies are not making it easy. We will go back. But I'll call to make sure flies are gone.

The vibe was a bit different than what I was expecting as we were expecting a traditional vineyard but that was not really the case. It was more casual then expected. We ordered wine flights as well as bruschetta and bread/oil. It took a very long time to come out and had to go find our waiter to ask about the wait as we were a large party. The waiter was super apologetic and kind and gave complimentary chips and a cake slice which was nice. The limoncello cake slice tasted a bit artificial but I appreciated the waiter giving it to us, but would not order it again off the menu. The wine was delicious so I would say to go for the wine if you go for anything. The food was simple and basic but nothing to complain about as we just got bread/oil as well as bruschetta. It feels simple and a bit thrown together however, the pizzas that were coming out did look very good so I would try to opt for one of those. The shareables were a decent size for the price and I can appreciate them not charging a super high amount for shareables as some wineries do.
