I've always been a bit fan of stationery and have shopped at Paper Source both in person and online. When I saw the Oakbrook Center mall directory, I was stoked to see Paper Source and that it was open until 9pm on a Monday evening. I naturally had to come in to check out the selection. It's dangerously addicting and it was hard to control myself from wanting to take the store with me. I came in wanting to see what I can get last minute for others but ended up spoiling myself -- self care, right. I found a cute journal that's good for up to 3 years, and it's a daily question you answer about self care which I think is truly necessary in these trying times. I can use some daily affirmations, and then I found these cute narwhal pens so I had to get them too. The staff were friendly and available as needed. I love that I wasn't upsold anything, I wasn't followed around, and I was given the space to do my thing. When I had questions the two ladies were more than happy to assist me, though they couldn't find an item I was looking for, I still appreciate their efforts and how they worked together. It's one of the better experiences I've had in person at Paper Source. I also wasn't pressured to sign up for anything. I do have to say that the Paper Source location I've been to in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood does have a bigger selection than this one. However, the brand and this location is still pretty consistent, it just doesn't have everything and if they do it's in smaller quantities. I do recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for stationery items, greeting cards etc. read more

This is my place to go for stationary. A well-written letter or note on stationary made with a fine, weighty paper says so much more to the recipient than an email or text. At least for those of us who didn't start life with computers and smartphones. read more

I do enjoy buying cute stuff because I love making scrapbooks and Paper Source doesn't disappoint me because they have lots of what I need. I keep on coming back here and I also recommend it to my friends and work colleagues. The staff here are also so nice, knowledgeable and friendly! Great experiences till today. While I was finding a card the girls up front decided that would be a good time to gossip about their friends. Then wrap my gift. So once got to the counter was surprised to see nothing done. Then spent 20 minutes additionally wrapping my small box. Also blamed it on the tape & good for a customer to know that the " store is broke" - employees exact words, something about how the budget wouldn't allow certain things like you paper towels. All in all still love the quality of the materials here but definitely need work on customer service. read more

One of my friends wanted to buy an agenda planner through Amazon. The planner costs 28 dollars and an extra 5 dollars for shipping. The first thing that came to my mind was "really, I can go to Target or Walmart and get a planner for under 10 bucks." She did not mind paying 33 bucks for an agenda planner. However, shipping will take around 7-10 days and she really wanted the planner by this week. As a result, we ended up at this store. She purchased the same agenda planner as the one on Amazon and it was only 30 bucks. The store was really colorful. Besides from envelopes, they also have greeting cards, wall decorations and a bunch of other cool stuffs. I will definitely come back here when I need to purchase a birthday card. This place is located inside the Oakbrook Mall on the lower level. It took us a while to find it because my GPS told us that it was across the street from the mall. read more

This review is on their Lettering class lead by store manager Sarah. Sarah was amazing, so patient and sweet. She taught the lettering class well and had helpful handouts to learn and practice and several different pens and markers to try out. She even showed a little embossing and watercolor lettering with water markers. Lettering is not something you pick up overnight, it takes practice, but the class is very informative and helpful. The store itself is my downfall, I would love to get everything in the store, all the amazing journals, books, markers, stamps .. OH MAN .. it's heaven for crafty people. I would take other classes that they offer to see what they were about! read more

Why is every single employee here the sweetest? Whatever you're all drinking please let me know because I need some of that! I always have a super pleasant experience at this location. They're helpful but not hounding you. Aside from the refreshing personalities, the products are amazing. I come in here if I need s gift for my dad, fiancé, best friend, mother in law to be.. You name it! They have a huge selection of scrap booking tools and materials and although I'm not a scrap booker paper source makes makes me want to be! Their cards, of course, are so beautiful and witty. They are basically everything I wish I was *drum roll*. I believe they offer classes but I'm not entirely certain. Bad experience ordering my wedding invites with Paper Source. I first got an email from them stating that "there has been a delay due to a file reprint." I didn't submit any changes so I don't know what caused the delay. After picking up my invites I discovered that my order was short by 20 envelopes causing yet another delay. They had the same envelopes we ordered in store so we picked them up and they charged us for them even though we had already paid for the envelopes with the invite order. So, they screwed up and then charged us for their mistake! Customer service doesn't even seem to care. There was not an apology to be heard. read more

This is a really great place for you to visit if you're looking for specialty paper and specialty paper treatment. It allows you to customize your wedding invitations in a way that's a step above the rest. I highly recommend stopping and asking for Sandy. Sandy and her staff were a great help to me customizing and designing my niece's wedding invitations. Paperstock comes in Precut sizes and and standard 8.5x11 laser compatible sizes. Sandy even suggested a local printer that will print on the precut sizes. This advice, and the paper samples that she help me chose, helped me stay within the budget! read more
