I paid for the work via Paypal as well as an additional $30 fee for shipping to Ontaio, Canada after I was unable to go to Michigan to pick up the staff in person. I have been emailing and phoning Mr. Barley to request a completion date on the work and he fails to contact me by either means. I could understand an email saying I am very busy but your staff in is work but to not reply at all ... one begins to wonder. My recommendations is I would not rely on Mr. Barley for any work as as the previous posting said "I am out over $160"

Most of the products I buy there I prefer to see in person. Do better Michael's! A lot of cheap floral and non crafty dollar store items that are high priced. If the store just focused on fabric and yarn crafts, they could reduce space by 2/3rd, keep the store clean, fill the shelves and make money. This is a loosing model.

The place is just off main street and you cannot miss the colorful building. There is also history attached to this location, so be sure to check out the historical marker next to the building. Parking is just behind the place and is free. Or you can find meter parking or park at the library (free) and walk over. The staff are always friendly and offer to gift wrap your purchase. Or they will include gift wrapping materials and you can wrap at home. Such a nice added touch. But I will say this can make the line pretty slow. COVID-19 wise - staff wear masks and guests are expected to wear masks as well. There is a gift for anyone here, even a hard-to-buy dad or brother. The store is sectioned off into type of gifts. Some sections include: Wedding, pets, golf, Michigan, baby, cooking, homemade products like soaps/candles, children toys, and gag gifts to name a few. The holidays also bring gifts such as ornaments, etc. for the holidays. They do occasionally do coupons in the local Rochester Area mailer - so be sure to clip those!

That being said... the cashier who checked me out made me feel like a nobody. I was clearly the only one in line and she ask for the next customer, I step up an I was greeted with " oh , are you next" with disgust in her voice. Then she does not bother to ask if I need a box for a couple of my items that clearly needed boxes. And she asked everyone else if they wanted gold stamps. Not me. Very disappointing. This is my go to shop. I'm not going to go because of this women but I will not be there if she's checking me out. I walked inside and the lady who greeted me told me she would be just a minute. Nobody else was in the store so I don't know why I had to wait for her to ring me up. I asked for a paper bag with handles. She had given me a plastic bag with handles. Her response was, no your bag has handles. You can't have that one. I was very much taken aback by her rude and abrupt tone and the fact that she would not give me a paper bag. I will never go back to a store that would be so cheap as to not give a customer a paper bag upon request
