Photos were taken in front of a backlit white background, but it was only adjusted to someone who was 4 feet and taller. My poor toddler's photos turned out terrible with my husband's hands holding her up, taking center stage in the photo. They photo edit the images, and had lots of trouble because apparently my husband was too dark for a good photo. We did get a $10 in-store coupon for using their passport service so we took advantage and used it to get nearly everything off my daughter's back to school list. Pricing was great especially this time of year and the organization of the store made it easy to find everything we needed. I haven't been to a Staples in years but we will definitely be back (probably not for passport photos though).
