TikTok said that Staples had the best passport photos so naturally I believed them. We got what we needed from the business, but the experience was harried due to understaffing and one poor employee doing nearly every single job in the building. Photos were taken in front of a backlit white background, but it was only adjusted to someone who was 4 feet and taller. My poor toddler's photos turned out terrible with my husband's hands holding her up, taking center stage in the photo. They photo edit the images, and had lots of trouble because apparently my husband was too dark for a good photo. We did get a $10 in-store coupon for using their passport service so we took advantage and used it to get nearly everything off my daughter's back to school list. Pricing was great especially this time of year and the organization of the store made it easy to find everything we needed. I haven't been to a Staples in years but we will definitely be back (probably not for passport photos though). read more

I don't understand why this location has such an incompetent and unprofessional individual like Miguel acting as a 'manager.' I ordered a print that came out completely the wrong color, and he refused to offer any help or resolution. I am pregnant, already frustrated, and his attitude only made things worse. If Staples wants to provide better customer service, they should strongly reconsider keeping Miguel in a managerial position (if that's even true) read more

After trying fedex in the same location, and having to deal with some not so friendly employee over there, I can safely say that my most recent experience at Staples in the self service department was significantly much better. This is their closest location. Is it my favorite one? Nope. Does it work for most purposes? Yes. This store does have a few helpful employees, and my guess is, that they are having trouble hiring reliable folks. That's not uncommon right now. To their credit they do their best. I like the business center. They've helped with a few projects. As for their computer prices, go to Best Buy. Occasionally they'll have a deal, but they are difficult to predict. For school supplies, I almost end up here yearly. This is because they have them, and they don't destroy what's left of my wallet. Very happy with the printing services here. I've talked to reps over the phone that were very nice. Today Mohammad helped us out and also suggested we order online for cheaper orders. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with all our questions. He printed a proof which allowed us to see some issues in the file. He was very patient even though we were there for over an hour. During the stressful process of fixing custom wedding invitations and printing with a deadline, Mohammad made this process easy and the experience positive. Some people do not realize that printing certain items can be difficult, time consuming, and there's a lot more that goes into it. I've worked closely with production in the past and it is not easy unless everything is perfect. Glad the 2 staff members we encountered were so pleasant. Honestly who still goes to staples when everything's online now, I'm surprised they're still open. I only came to print a piece of paper; it was originally 10 cents, I was told I had to use their computers to print which they charge you 30 cents a minute, would be fine if there computers weren't so slow. They now charge a dollar to print! I spent 4$ for two pieces of paper, the first was printed wrong and they refused to give me my dollar back. It's not a big deal to me but the overall attitude of the workers and the principle is what bothered me. The workers in printing were staring and rude despite me saying hello. I went to pick up an online order, and it's such a hassle. You need to show your Identification even though you can show them the order on your phone (I had left my wallet in the car). Then you have to wait for someone to take you over to pick up area. I even suggested to the associate that they get lockers like Home Depot or Lowe's where you don't need to talk to anyone. Definitely much easier to just get items shipped to you, but I had run out of something. Next time I will order from Amazon prime and get it that day. read more

Horrible experience. Sean sold me an open-box return. Shipping label on box pointed to residential address. When opened, the toner cartridge was open and items were not factory-sealed. None of this was conveyed. I called Sean at the Fairfax store and he indicated I could drive back (which is 35 min away) and get money back or a 10% discount off the price. REALLY? I consider this entire sale as deceptive. I will be returning the printer and advertising my discontent on all major reviews along with friends and family. This is atrocious behavior. read more

Come here if you want to feel guilted into inconveniencing paid employees to do their job. I needed a 1-page document printed out so I used their pay-per-minute computer to access my email and print the attachment as told. After selecting "print" I waited a few minutes for the printer to warm up. Didn't work. The employee at the print/copy store section took a quick look at the printer then left to work on another job while the pay timer kept running on the computer. After trying to print again (and incurring another print charge) the employee finally just let me email the document for them to print out for me. Dissappointing like always. It's no wonder so many locations are closing down. Came in here to purchase some spiral notebooks but of course they are out of stock, according to the employees. They told me to order online instead. Okay, went home and checked online and guess what I see. The item that I wanted shows that at least 50+ are available at this location, yet an employee told me it was out of stock. Either the employee lied to me or the item availability feature is flawed. Wish there was a 0 Stars for this substandard company. The staff there assured me anything they didn't have on the floor, that we saw on the website, would be delivered in 1-2 business days. When I asked, was told even office furniture. They make you go to a kiosk and order it your self. After all is said and done, I get an e-mail and saying it will be delivered in over 2 WEEKS.
