    Kids book nook

Best bookstore! Such an amazing selection of books, gifts, puzzles, and all kinds of wonderful things. The kids book nook is really sweet. Huge selection of kids books and graphic novels! Highly recommend!

Come on it! It's cute inside!

Giving this place four stars because my heart will always be with used books and there are none here. But otherwise, the shop is a fantastic way to shop local; it's small but packs a powerful punch! They also host events including an amazing event with Lindy West who spoke about her recently published collection of essays Shrill. (She's hilarious and also a kick-ass feminist so grab a copy of her book!) I always appreciate when a place has recommendations and Papercuts offers some personal reviews from staff which I'm sure is helpful for those just browsing with no book in mind. And they have totes and cards and other small gifts so a gift certificate here is a good idea for anyone who likes nice things in life. Keeping a small feminist-minded book store open is no easy task so I'm glad Jamaica Plain has this lil' book nook of a store!

Another J.P. gem!! So cute and great selection of current books with some other eclectic tidbits. Highly recommend. Who can say no to a cute bookstore?

Fabulous variety in a relatively small space, plenty of classic literature as well as more contemporary titles.

We weren't sure how to enter, so we started in the bookstore and found their convenient elevator downstairs! The restaurant is tiny but cozy, which is the perfect atmosphere for a book store! We sat outside in the little courtyard and it's a mix of magical and relaxing! There were only a few tables, so it wasn't overcrowded and with nice weather, it was perfect. I had a salad with salmon on the side which was delicious - and the ginger lemonade - wonderful! From buttered noodles to seafood, everything was executed well. The staff didn't rush us even though they were busy - and they had to give really long wait times to a number of others, but we still weren't rushed. I would highly recommend reservations, but even without we were treated very well. Pricing was in line with city pricing - and the food was extremely high quality and produce was lovely - not a shriveled lettuce leaf in sight. We then went upstairs to the bookstore and perused - each floor has something fun to see (including a tiny kids door - or is it a mouse door for the mouse who stars in the book about the store?!). 100% worth a visit - definitely stop in!

The place is so adorable and photogenic, no doubt! But beyond that?…read more I had hoped to come enjoy a book, but unfortunately, Instagram has turned this cute bookstore into a tourist site. Long loud tourist lines for the restroom make it hard to actually sit for a moment enjoying this beautiful space.
