They also had Games set up on the lawn, it was a family friendly place or families or friends could congregate and enjoy a beautiful afternoon. We poked around a little and saw that they have a great venue for hosting weddings or quinces or whatever it is you were celebrating . We ordered the sampler platter, which was basically a charcuterie board. Cheese and meat and crackers. It was very good. I also had a sangria that was wonderful and we ordered a frozen lemonade. You kind of stand in line to order your wine and food and they give you a buzzer and a little fan for your table. The people behind the counter were nice and friendly and very efficient. I can't wait to go back and show my friends and spend a little more time and do some wine tasting . This place is nestled far back off of the main highway in a more rural area . There is a fire pit (conditions permitting) and horseshoe pit in the back, along with the chickens and the goats. You are literally in the middle of "downtown" Lincoln, if you came for the history. And, a nice nature trail that goes down to the river is just a few block walk away. Breakfast was freshly made and awesome each day. We will definitely be back. It's not a chain hotel - so if that is what you want, Head elsewhere. I spend a lot of time in chain hotels - I'd much rather stay here.

Our room was spotlessly clean and had a cool cowgirl theme. The bed was insanely comfortable and I've already emailed the owner, Rocky, to ask what kind of sheets were on it because we want some! Rocky is a delight and obviously takes a lot of pride in the lovely home away from home he has created for weary travelers. The entire place is full of special, quirky (but not tacky!) little touches that give it charm and personality. We will definitely stay here any time we're in the Ruidoso area.

When I checked in, I was told that no ADA rooms were available. The hot tub was pool temperature cold. The ice machine is on the first and third floor were broken and the machine on the second floor had a step with about a 5 foot distance between the step and the ice machine making it completely inaccessible to me with my wheelchair. The free breakfast had all the food and beverages pushed up against the wall with about a 4 foot counter between the customer and the food so there was no way I could reach any of it with my wheelchair. I would definitely not stay here again.

Fortunately, I had gauged the eBatteries correctly, along with taking several "nooners" (milspec) enroute, arriving an hour before Sunset. I was amazed at my good fortune; this was such a fine overnighter. Firm bed/fast hot water/excellent flat screen TV, microwave & mini-fridge/good in-room coffee maker/cleanliness throughout, and, in today's digital World, free WiFI. I was exceptionally impressed with multi-socket that provided every kind of hookup needed for my electrics, which I'd not seem before. Unfortunately, the ice maker was currently broken, but, as what was becoming a regularity in many overnighteries, I bought a bag of ice at the closeby Alsups, along with a few nutritious snacks and brekkie items.oils . Most important was the decent/restful night, which was critical for my anticipated not-so-long but very steep ascent (¿Would I have to walk, like I did a year ago, on the Blue Rmidge Parkway?) to Capitan the next day. This was such a fantastic motel!
