When I called to make the reservation, I requested and was told I would be given in an ADA room as I use an electric wheelchair. When I checked in, I was told that no ADA rooms were available. The hot tub was pool temperature cold. The ice machine is on the first and third floor were broken and the machine on the second floor had a step with about a 5 foot distance between the step and the ice machine making it completely inaccessible to me with my wheelchair. The free breakfast had all the food and beverages pushed up against the wall with about a 4 foot counter between the customer and the food so there was no way I could reach any of it with my wheelchair. We stayed at La Quinta over Valentine's Day weekend and booked a king bed Mountain View suite. I chose this hotel mainly because the bathtub looked bigger than most and they also had a hot tub and pool, which I had specifically been searching for for weeks. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out they were renovating and the pool and hot tub were out of service. This was really disappointing since that was the main reason I booked here, and I didn't see any notice about it on the website when reserving. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but we didn't have any toilet paper in the room and didn't realize until later in the night, which was inconvenient. On a positive note, the breakfast was good -- they had sausage and gravy along with waffles, which we enjoyed. Overall, not a bad stay, but I do wish the renovation and closed amenities had been clearly listed before booking. read more

The hotel is extremely run down: peeling paint from the walls, rust on the door frames and sprinkler heads in the pool area. The gym was closed "sorry for the inconvenience." In the room: There is rust around the bathtub drain, nasty looking toilet, dirty carpets, trash under the pull out couch and crumbs when we opened it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were hard and some of them were dirty. The chair in the room looked like it belonged in the dumpster. The faux leather was crumbling apart. The breakfast food was tasteless and overcooked. The juice was actually water with dye and a little bit of sugar. The cream cheese tasted horrible and the bagels felt like bubblegum. The photos of the place are definitely NOT what you get. This hotel may have been beautiful once but it is not so today. I would have asked for a refund if I could. read more

We booked this suite 3/6/26 Via Priceline. They advertised pool/hot tub as available amenities. Upon arrival the pool/hotub were unavailable and the whole hotel is under major reconstructions. When I expressed upset about this due to the reason I booked this hotel was the amenities I was never offered a credit back and I was unable to cancel the room or talk with a manager. In addition that night my hazards got turned on by mistake. We found out battery dead When my husband went in to ask about jumper cables the front desk girl told him the hazards were on all night but they didn't know who the car belonged too. Lie because I submitted the plate make and color when I checked in. They were not helpful in assisting us with finding a device to help jump the car. They offered cables but did not have a car. When I went back in I asked why they never contacted us last night the same girl lied again and said oh we tried calling the room and no one answered. Big lie Because my teenage girls husband and I were in the room all night. Our phone never rang. I tried calling Wyhdam to complain about their customer service lies and the construction zones we were directed to walk through which were not safe. The cooperation would not take the complaint because I booked it through Priceline. So I called Priceline to complain. I was put on hold and low and behold they now had a jump box and offered its use to us. We had already called a wrecker. And they agreed to refund approx $33 dollars. I Will never stay at this hotel again and I sure will not stay at a Wyndham facility again! I have tried to leave reviews on their site and the option is not available I guess since I didn't book through Wyndham sites. read more

I'll start off by saying that the people who work here (like almost all the people we interacted with in Ruidoso) were incredibly nice and helpful. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the house keeping staff, were exceptionally cheery and always had something nice to say even though it was snowy and icy outside and during the holiday rush. The service they provide is the absolute best part of the stay here. The hotel itself is aging and showing its wear. It's a heavily used hotel and most of the patrons staying here seem to be headed to Ski Apache. There are a few nit picky things here and there, but for the price, it's a great value. The breakfast is not great, but at least it's something. You can carb load on fresh waffles and bagels or have some of the saltiest eggs I've ever eaten. They also have fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal available too which is great. The coffee though.... It has to be one of the worst I've ever had. The pump creamer left clumps floating at the top of the cup and it was super weak. I finally broke down and bought some Starbucks instant coffee and just used their hot water. But again, it's a free breakfast so I'm thankful for that. The pet policy is fantastic. We brought along our golden retriever and their is no deposit or fee to bring them. All that is required is a signed waiver that you are responsible for any damage they make to the room, which is of course understandable. Overall, this is a great value for a decent hotel in Ruidoso and I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend a few days on the slopes or perusing their downtown area. read more

We have a diamond membership with LaQuinta. We stay at LaQuintas a lot. This location was kind of a disappointment. Its old and really needs a serious update for one. It wasnt very clean either. Not vacuumed and a dirty washcloth left hanging over the shower head. Bathtub needs some work. Looks like the enamel is peeling off. I don't know where to start ... we stayed here for a month for a job my husband had to do in this city so the company paid for our stay while we were finding property here & let me tell you i have a lot to complain about . For starters after 3 days they would call us to check out but we had an ongoing stay which we & the company would tell them it was ongoing & we thought it would get squared away but no it stayed like that all the way up until we left it was annoying repeating ourselves . We never got a Refresh despite asking the front desk multiple times we did have a cat but i had a carrier & a harness for us to take him out .. the litter does get everywhere so it does get messy and fast ...they said yes but we just had to take the cat out which i didn't mind but when it came around to the room service staff on our floor nothing & they would give us ugly looks if we asked for essentials .. i was only helped by one lady when i asked for essentials and she had a daughter & they don't even do that side of the floor she had to cover for people who don't wanna show up to their job i never saw her again after that you have to ask the front desk for those things .. anyway .. ( WE NEVER GOT A REFRESH THE WHOLE STAY) i even went as far as asking the room service staff as soon as i heard them outside the door and across the room from me & all they would tell me oh i'm only doing this room . there was a day in my stay where a staff member was trying to get into the room and i thought maybe he's here to clean it as soon as i opened it he was like oh i was checking to see if anyone was here . don't they knock for that ? & get this he didn't even clean the room he moved on to the next . i don't particularly blame him though there was a language barrier i do wish he knocked though it scared me to hear someone was trying to get into the room especially me being a female by myself at the time ..in a city i've never been in ... didn't even know if they were staff or not they don't have uniforms. there was 2 times the front desk called us and asked us if we wanted a refresher & we said yes they never did it .. i just got tired of asking . having a cat with you and not being able to have access to a broom or scoop was irritating so i resorted to taking the broom myself when they left the cart in the hall . i cleaned myself . you think if the room was paid for the service would come with it . breakfast was okay sometimes other times it was burnt or soggy the staff was nice though i love the orange juice machine that was probably the highlight of the stay and the washing machine they have aswell is convenient you can pay with apple pay or cashapp my room key was always bugged out so i had to go back and forth constantly to get it taken care of that was also annoying as hell especially when i had a ton of bags to carry . ... the fitness room was out of order the treadmill or elliptical doesn't work due to staff leaving the water on from the pool that it flooded out the fitness room & fried all the wires because the outlets are on the ground Don't mean to be a karen in all this but anyone would be upset in my position. .. Stay at your own risk ...your experience could turn out to be different then mine . just a warning and hopefully this review gets enough attention that the owners / managers take action and get a little more serious about this place & take action with how the employees are & how this place is being ran read more

I was disappointed in this hotel. Many amenities were not available that are expected to be at such a place. For example, the second floor ice Machine was broken. I mentioned it at least 3 times on different days and it still was not fixed. Shampoo was not available in the room, only conditioner. Pets were allow and one large dog was kept in one of the rooms that would rush and bark at the door every time someone would walk down the hall. The barking was non-stop. I feel as if people with pets should be housed in another part of the hotel--together. Vacations should be relaxing for people who don't want the noise of pets. The breakfast was meager and not what is usual for a hotel. I would not stay at this hotel again. I could not recommend it to others. read more

Nice hotel for in the middle of nowhere! Nice clean white bedding and free breakfast. I called ahead an hour before our check in and the rooms were ready and they let us into our rooms. breakfast was nice: eggs, banana and apples, bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy, toast and muffins.. pillows were a bit on the hard side. Could expand a little more cleaning in the restroom, as bathroom fan was clogged and floors a could use a better clean, but the bed was very comfortable, rest of room was awesome, breakfast was great, nice dining room! Came to visit with my grandma. I am so impressed with the quality and service of the stay. The front desk person, Adam. Seriously. They need to pay him more. He was running around managing a million tasks at once and never losing his respectful courteous manner. He treated my 93 yo grandma with patience and respect. I heard him him patiently help a person in the phone explaining how to find TV stations. While baking cookies for eagerly awaiting guests. This was definitely a family place. There were a lot of children in the hot tub and pool. And well children are children. The breakfast was amazing with such wonderful service, staff assisting and even clearing dishes. I highly recommend this place. And seriously think La Quinta needs to give ADAM a pay raise!! read more

You can't go wrong with this La Quinta! We had a great rate for two king rooms, and they were the largest rooms of any I can remember. The space is well designed with a couch and desk in a good-sized sitting area and a large bathroom. Beautiful, comfortable bedding, very good and efficient service by staff. The breakfast area was kept well stocked and clean. The indoor pool and hot tub were great, though the walls in the pool area need to be stripped and repainted as they are peeling. Overall a great bargain, and we would definitely stay there again. read more

Stayed here while traveling from El Paso to Amarillo and was told the town was a good place to stay with the casinos and such. There apparently was a bike meet or something going on in town as the majority of the people were riding motorcycles around town. I checked in and the lady behind the counter looked like she had a long day and was not very cheerful. I got to my room and it smelled a bit off but it was not overpowering. The room was okay. The TV did not swivel to make viewing anywhere but from straight ahead ideal. There was a nice leather chair though set up to watch the TV from but the desk had a poor side view. I did not hear the bikes rolling by in my room which was a positive. I slept well as the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay for what it was. There is a Denny's right down the street if you want more. All in all it was a decent place. read more

We called before our trip to verify that the pool was open and were told yes. Upon arrival, there was a closed sign at on pool room. When we asked the attendant at the front desk, we were told it would open at 3pm. We settled into our room and went back down at 3:30 and were told it would be closed for another week, and that it had been broken for the past week and they were waiting for parts. We were lied to by two different employees, and when the Manager, Max, was confronted about this, all we got was attitude until after we called LaQuinta's Corporate office to ask how to proceed with a refund. The corporate office quickly remedied the situation, and the manager hadn't bothered to post pool closed signs until we were leaving. read more
