During my check up, the doctor told me to get some lab work from outside clinic which was just doable in a day. So before i left the clinic to asked the receptionist to book for an appointment for the following day (saturday) so that i can finish my checkup. The arrogant receptionists told me that the result would take 2 days to proccess so she cannot book me an appointment. So i asked her how about monday, she told me that "monday is too soon, ussually result will come after 5 days." I was trying to be very patient but i started to get upset with her responses. The lazy and arrogant nurse over heard our conversation came to us and told me that "they still have to read the results and tabulate the readings so monday is too soon" With this statement from the nurse, i felt they were not so helpful to their patients. Anyways, so i booked for another appointment next friday. I then went to the clinic for my lab work. I asked the guy, when can they send the lab results to vna. They guy told me that they will send it on thay same day friday. So i was glad. On thursday next week, the day before my next appointment, i called vna to see if they have my lab results, i lady told me that they did not receive any. This was 5 days after my lab. So i called the clinic to see if they have sent it. They guy told me that they did sent it on the day i got my lab work. Moreover, the guy was so helpful and told me that he will sent it again to vna to make sure they got my result for my appointment tomorrow. So i got confused and disappointed. The following day, when i went to vna, the lazy nurse and receptionist told me that they did not have my result. They even added that the clinic where i got my lab work, would always say that they will send it but they wont. With this sense, i felt they were just mistreating their me. So i made another appointment on monday of next week and hope that they will get the result. When i came there, the lazy nurse told me the same thing. They didnt have they las result. I was so upsetand disaapointedThey knew i had an appointment, so they should have followed up to the clinic for my result or they could have just told me to get it from the clinic and bring it with me. Rather they did nothing at all. When i started to freakout, they doctor came out and talked to me and told me if i have a copy of the lab results and bring it to the clinic to that she could read it and proceed with my checkup. While the doctor was talking to me i looked at the nurse and the receptionist and i saw they were looking at each other rolling there eyes. They felt like they were above me. And i would like to add, they nurse was so arrogant, when i checked in the clinic, i had my body temperature checked, she overbearingly told me to remember my body temperature because she will ask for it even though she had a thermometer gun on her hand. So arrogant. I will never come back to this place.

I appreciated all the great reviews of Dr. Boyd and after weeks and weeks of trying to find a…read moredoctor I think I can trust, they helped me decide she was the doctor for me. So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

Truth be told, I prefer younger, female, Family Docs (as opposed to Internal Medicine) - just as personal preference - but she's absolutely lovely. Kind. Attentive. Concerned. All the things you want in a GP. Oh - and one last thing: At my previous practice, there would be a HUGE wait - I mean, HOURS. (But heaven forbid you be more than 10 minutes late...they would cancel your appointment.) Not so with Dr. Boyd. I never feel rushed, either. She's genuinely a good MD. Seriously.

Primecare Physicians, and at home visiting Doctor…read more.. Ok, my first review was 2013. I gave them 3 extra years. Recap from 8/21/2013 in case it disappears after I write this one. "These Doctors are so incompetent. Its supposed to be a home health care where they come to your home. They seem to push a lot of pills. They don't listen to their patients. I can't tell you how many times I have had to talk to the side of their face with an occasional grunt. Either they don't get your scripts right, or they only fill have of them if you take a lot of meds. God help you if you have a serious problem. I NEVER get to talk to an actual Doctor on the phone. They aren't attentive to your issues either. I have diabetes and Asthma. Not once have they shown any concern or actual concern for my asthma. I have poison crawling up my face as I write this and all I need is a strong antibiotic. I have had this before. All I got told was go to the emergency room. But I thought that was the whole idea of homecare was to avoid the ER. They schedule me for an appointment for 3 days from now. WTF I could be dead! I have to go to the ER because these doctors don't give a rats butt." They gave me a young sweet but air headed young lady. She was the best they had, but she at least tried somewhat to work with me. She wasn't a pill pusher which a genuinely appreciated. She had her flaws though. She didn't know how to write a supporting medical letter to support an issue for court which caused justice to not be served. She messed me up pretty bad there. She was always always in a hurry so I never got to tell her everything, and the things I did get to tell her she would forget about the next visit. I have needed a colonoscopy for over 3 years.... needless to say I have yet to get it. I was forever running out of meds. Being a diabetic, I had daily meds, but they could not keep my supplied. Some times I went over a week without my meds because they were slow at prescriptions.Well, she got pregnant so now she is on maternity leave. So, now I was dealing with substitute. The first one was so tiny I thought she was a child. But that's ok. Very nice lady, Just took my vitals and she was on her way. The second one was a busy body. first time I met her. She never ran any tests, did not know my history, didn't care to know it, and decided by a visual in 5 minutes of her time, I wasn't eligible for at home services. But, my doctor has been seeing me over 3 years, and never said this. So, she asked me a couple questions, and left. My at home nurse comes over, and calls the office about my high sugar and finds out that she discharged me from the clinic. She meets me once, and doesn't know me from a can of paint and decides I am not eligible. So, I called the office, and that's when they told me about it. I told them fine they aren't the only fish in the sea. The part that really got me, was they never told me. They told the farming agency (First Assist), but never told me... Oh yes, and they are very bad about calling you or sending about test results. Primecare Physicians is horrible....Call a Veterinarian first....you'd be better off.
