We stayed here for 1 week. The rooms (or at least ours) need some serious updating. The bathrooms were clearly done in the 80s. Sinks and toilets are very low. Carpets need a cleaning. The couch in the living room is extremely outdated, uncomfortable and in need of replacement. It is apparent that not a lot of money has been put into this place for many years. We were here on a free package, but we still had to pay about $170 for fees. But, if we had had to pay, we would have been VERY disappointed. read more

Outstanding golf course, excellent convention center, and very good restaurant and lounge. Probably the best golf course in the area (unless you go to the Sheboygan area). Excellent food and drinks in the restaurant. The convention center is probably the best in the county. read more

Filthy. Nasty. Smelly. Over $200 a night for garbage. A softball team was staying there and put CHAIRS in the hot tub. We notified the front desk. Nothing happened. Our sink was filthy. Had to wear shoes in the shower. Smelled like a dirty armpit all over. A dirty towel was hanging behind our door when we checked in!!!!!! I dropped something being the tv. OMG. Food boxes were behind the TV. Not ours. Pure filth. My son left his AirPods. We were an hour away when we realized. Find my app says they're AT the hotel. They claim they never found them, and now they're not connected to find my app anymore. Complete waste of time and money. Also a horrible breakfast. We will be attempting to get our money back as it looks like our card was also charged for 3 nights when we were only there for two!!!!! read more

Being "the best hotel in Manitowoc County" shouldn't be a selling point when there are better, more luxurious hotels and resorts one county north and south. This place is nothing more than a redneck resort. They have (at some point) renovated the hotel rooms but they still include a shower older than anything I've ever stood in, an AC/heater without thermostat control (you can choose warm, cool, or fan), and paper thin walls. My stay included hearing children run up and down the halls, listening to my neighbor puking in the toilet after a night of drinking, and lackluster amenities that I shouldn't have necessarily considered anything to be of the contrary. This place is located in Mishicot - not even Manitowoc wanted them. The shower head came up to the middle of my back, the toilet paper and Kleenex more closely resembled sandpaper, the curtains don't cover the width of the windows, and make sure to bring your earplugs if you expect a good nights sleep. I also would consider the pillows sub-par, and there were a few little bugs that found their way inside my room. All of this being said, I do have to point out that the staff did try to make our experience a good one. The ladies checking us in did a great job. Even when my reservation got lost (which also happened), they were diligent to get me very close to where my friends were staying. The restaurant had amazing food, both in the restaurant and at our catered event. The drinks at the bar were stiff - welcome to Wisconsin. When you take a look at the pros and the cons, I'd say I would come back for some spirits and some food, but then I would leave in a hurry. Recommend additional upgrades if you expect to make it through the next 10 years of business. Also, when Covid tests are coming back at a 41% positivity rate in your area - the highest in the nation - during a global pandemic, you might want to use your head before allowing a 500+ head count wedding to take place, without some standardized, common sense precautions. read more

I'm back at Par 5 (Formally Fox Hills) for my yearly stay. It's been a nice and relaxing three days so far. Noticable updates this year include new hardwood flooring and carpet, new tvs, added chromecast, improved wifi, new bedding, and new drapes throughout. It looks nice. Hopefully next year there will be updated furnishings. read more

Arrived at hotel at 3pm . Was told unable to check in until 4 pm. Not because room not ready just policy . This is the first hotel I've ever encountered that has a rule of 4 pm. The clerk was somewhat rude about it. The room had been reserved months earlier. Rooms themselves need updating . The shower head was at about 5'5" from tub/ floor. The average person is 6' tall . The linens on the bed gave the impression that the homeless were being housed here. For a resort I'd expect a bit more class to the appearance of the room. The breakfast was , well it was nothing to write home about. Not much of a selection at all. I don't see myself going back. Many of the group I was with Aldo had the same feelings . Understaffed ? Maybe . The lack of courtesy in a business that is about customer service was very disappointing. As a side note I worked in the business for several years and would never allow this kind of service. My husband arranged for an over night golf package for my birthday. We just got back an hour ago & I wanted to let you know that we have never had such miss leading, poor quality food & service ever! Our package included a breakfast, lunch & dinner plus one over night & unlimited golf for $500. The dinner was from 7-8pm on our tickets. Actually, doors opened at 7:30. We were the only couple among a golf outing group of guys, who looked at us like "what are you doing here?". The dinner was a taco buffet with cold ground beef taco meet, rice & beans and a few toppings. My cheese didn't even melt on the meat. Breakfast, was bad too, no yogurt or any kind of fruit. Lunch, was the cheapest quality of brat or hamburger. AGAIN, we were the only couple in a golf outing group of guys. Found out from the bar staff that Par 5 doesn't have any restaurants serves except for what ever cheap bar food they can throw together for a so called "buffet". I feel like we have been mislead by your website & staff should have explained the golf package when my husband made the reservation. What a waste of our money! Will never stay here again! read more

Currently here for a outing and attempting to have dinner which is supposed to provided but the have run out of salad twice. We have been sitting waiting for the server to bring our pre-ordered dinner for now 45min. Do not recommend this establishment for anything other than golf. read more

Absolutely disgusting room & horrible service. I called the hotel to make reservations, two rooms, 1 king bed and 2 queen beds. Called back two weeks later to get a confirmation number and my rooms were booked as both two full size beds. Called again a few weeks later to extend one of the rooms and they only had 1 room reserved. Finally got to the hotel, checked in on a Thursday evening and the lady at the front desk had no idea what was going on. Was put on a second floor, was told no other rooms were open, even though there were 5 cars in the parking lot, causing me to make 6+ trips back and forth to the car to carry in all our toddlers stuff. They also had no elevator except for a wheel chair ramp in which the saftey certificate shows expired over 1 year ago. The room was disgustingly dirty. There was a roll of toilet paper with only 1 sheet left on it. A 1/2 full box of Kleenex was placed on top of the empty holder and empty box. There were pubic hairs all over the bathroom floor. The room floor was horribly dirty, sticky and had small pieces of garbage around. My wife used 10+ baby wipes to clean the floor and then scrubbed it with a towel, all wipes and towels were pure black. Only reason we stayed here was for a wedding. WILL NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Plus how unorganized the wedding staff was, the wedding cordinator was a joke....DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!! The only good thing about this place was the bar tenders and restaurant waitresses. read more

This hotel is a joke. Check I'm states 4pm, but didn't get our room til after 9pm. Claims of short staffing being the cause, however several others that arrived much later got their rooms. Front desk was absolutely useless as far as trying to help or rectify the situation. Hallways smell like garbage. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Resort was allegedly half redone but really didn't seem like it. No soap or shampoo in the dispensers, hallway smelled like smoke, very noisy, lots of sub par amenities. Resort had no one that could/would cook, so 36 guys were shipped to a restaurant 15 minutes away at 730 at night and told to order anything from a limited menu. Found out next day we had to pay our friend $20 because someone screwed up and he had to pay a large amount for the difference. Breakfast was a couple of pieces of lousy French Toast and something they called bacon. No where to get lunch except off site. None of the employees seemed to really care about any of the problems (they probably quit after we left). No attempt to compensate them for our inconvenience. At least the bar was open so we could drink and somewhat forget for a while how bad everything was. Golf course was average, but they scheduled tee times for another outing right in the middle of our last day of play. Some guys jumped in front of us on the 10th hole and were extremely slow, so we finished quite late. 5 and a half to 6 hour rounds are not out of the question. Very disappointed! Would not return unless they tore the place down to and fired all the staff. read more

We had many problems while staying here. We stayed in the villas which were fairly nice. Our problems were solely with the service. We called to reserve 2 villas 9 months prior to arrival. Once here we were only given keys to get into the living room and kitchen. We addressed it with the staff who seemed confused/surprised that we wanted bedrooms with our week stay which are connected to the kitchen through another key and paid for with the stay. I am absolutely dumbfounded as to who reserves a living room/kitchen for a week and chooses to sleep in their car. Our keys to the bedrooms did not work once we finally received them, so after two additional wasted trips to the office, not to mention time, we were in. The accommodations book and information in the lobby stated the pool hours as 7am-10pm, however we were not admitted to the pool at 8:45pm bc the pool ACTUALLY closes at 9pm. Needless to say it has been one headache after another since we arrived. read more
