Let me tell you about the shower: it had a rain showerhead on the ceiling activated by a push button. Temperature was totally adjustable and then there was a handheld sprayer also activated by a button and three sprayers mounted on the wall in front of you that you could aim in different areas of your body and they were activated by a button. Each of them was separately adjustable; for instance, let's say I wanted to do something with the showerheadsthat we're shooting at me from the front - by turning the knob to the left or right I could adjust the pressure. It was the best shower experience I've ever had, OK wow I very much love the resort and the shower, which I spent a lot of time in but there was one negative. There was a table and chairs in the room. The chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in so if you were gonna spend much time in the room, it was difficult however, there was a nice soft couch just outside our room and so when I needed to sit, I sat outside on the couch. There was also room to park a boat in the parking lot, which I did. I plan to go back in the fall to Door County and based on that wonderful shower I think I wanna go back to Bay Breeze Resort. Nice pool and whirlpool but with an early checkout time of 10 AM we didn't get to partake. That was disappointing. If you are in town and spending a lot of your time exploring Door County, this is a nice home base. Excellent location with a few shops and restaurants in walking distance. Check out the Big Easy for breakfast, it's immediately next to the resort. We tried to walk to the Main Street Shops Saturday afternoon but they were all closed. Much of the town is seasonal and we had trouble with places being closed down or shortened hours. The pool was was indoor and they have a heated jacuzzi. I couldn't spend much time in there because the chemicals were making me cough, but my boyfriend enjoyed this amenity. There is no fitness center. Front desk offers free coffee and you can apparently take games to borrow from them, too. We would come back and stay here, it was definitely a reasonable price. However, we probably don't recommend Door County in the dead of winter.

This newly renovated, family owned lodge has so much small town charm, you just don't want to leave. I woke just before sunrise to dim light, a slight overcast and quiet waves hitting the sandy beach just 40-50 yards from the back porch seating! There is a slight trail that will guide you past and around a local house that is perched right on the beach. Don't be afraid to walk past it, the lodge owns beach access and the neighbors have learned to live with it (We confirmed the route to access the beach [Right in front to us] with the lodge owner) Hubby made our plans to travel to WI just a week before we arrived! He tried to have us stay near or very near Lake Michigan and Green Bay. So, we embarked on five different locations for five individual nights. This was our third overnight, our second on the peninsula. What a wonderfully peaceful evening. The best word I can use to describe the lodge is just "peaceful". I say this to be clear-- People woke to just sit quietly out back amidst the view - but since I could not be quiet, I sought out someone to share the experience with. We found, we enjoyed!! Rooms seemed recently renovated- and that is my presumption since the owner said they just took over a year or so ago. Bathroom floors were new, as was the paint and the texturized walls. The decor is simple and muted, but not unflattering. The beds were comfortable and pillows extra fluffy!! Towels were fluffy and bed linens were super white and clean. There was a coffee shop on site called "A Little Bit of Coffee" which featured the Door County Coffee brand and boasted a variety of their flavors. We truly enjoyed this cute, little hotel and look forward to staying there for several days on our next visit to Wisconsin.

The property has an indoor pool, kids playscape, and afternoon snack time in the main welcome center. The landscaping and shaded setting of the property made for a peaceful oasis. All of the staff that we encountered were also very friendly. I enjoyed that this property is walking distance to great coffee, breakfast and fabulous pierogies next door. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely choose this location again. This town is also with a 10 minute drive to several other fun villages in door county.

We arrived on Friday 9/12, and the check-in process went well, the room was nice, and everything seemed ok. We were told that the housekeeping service would come in daily and remake the beds, cleanup the room, remove and replace any used towels and empty the garbage and resupply any coffee and toiletries needed. This was true only the first day. The second day we were out for the day and came back late and noticed that nothing had been touched? We went to bed and figured they would come back the next day. Nope...nothing. We had to empty our trash and reuse the "towels, etc. I had to go to the office get my own coffee supplies, etc. The only response I got was "Sorry"...help yourself to what you need. No....what is your room number? so, we will make sure they service you tomorrow. Nope...didn't happen. The worst part was the extremely loud pipe banging noise that began off and on from 12:00 midnight to around 4 am the last night we were there. It was intermittent and lasted 30 minutes each time it happened. No sleep for us that night. We went to the office to report it and were told.....we have had that happen in the past...and the obligatory "Sorry".....Very dismissive and after I explained the lack of room service and the noise that kept us up the response was an amazing," Sorry but we hope you will come back" followed by a smile? Very disappointing.....customer service? I hope future potential visitors have a better experience than we did... not a good birthday weekend. . They seem to not to care about living up to what they promise they will do. We will definitely not be returning here!!!

When we first arrived Wednesday afternoon, the lady at the front desk was kind of rude, standoffish and didn't really want to answer any of our questions. Walking through the hallway, everything looked very antiquated. When we got into our room I was disappointed to see that our over $350 a night room was pretty dilapidated, old and tiny. However, there was a small mini fridge and microwave available which was nice. There is free wifi available but can be fairly laggy. The resort itself is located right across the street from the water so you get a nice view of the water and you do get a small balcony to sit on with some patio furniture; however, there always seemed to be so many mosquitos there so I never did go outside. There is free breakfast available for guests. There were a few trays available for guests to bring their food up to their room. The selection was pretty simple but filling with some fruit, cereal and frozen jimmy jones breakfast sandwiches. There was a guy working in the breakfast room one morning that was kinda rude but apart from him and the lady at the front desk all of the other staff were quite friendly especially the housecleaning staff. All in all, a fairly average accommodation that wasn't too impressive; however, if you're not planning on staying in your room for too long while exploring Door County it may be adequate.

The weekend I went also happened to be the Fall 50 marathon so places were booked up. Alpine was offering their off-season rates for their club house rooms (on the golf course, pretty remote but a close walk into town). I paid $175/night (normally $300+) for a king room overlooking the course. There is a 3 night minimum but I got the sense that if they aren't too busy, they're flexible on that. The pictures online don't do it justice, it's quaint and comfortable. On the weekends they put out fresh cookies and extra coffee. It was perfect for what I needed: some relaxation in between hikes and strolls through various Door County harbor towns. It's about a 20-30 min walk into the Main Street of Egg Harbor. While I was there, the restaurant in the club house was not open but it will be open Nov. 1 through the winter, which will be a nice option if it's super cold and you want to grab a quick dinner without going far. I had a great time!

We had a nice room overlooking the golf course. This is a separate building from the resort main hotel & cabins, and is newly & stylishly furnished. Free coffee and refrigerator and rooms. Good location & access to rest of town. Five stars for great service, specifically Davante. They offer a free black car shuttle for guests, up to 5 miles from the resort. Davante, the shuttle driver, did a superb job. He was helpful, with good tips about the area. He communicated well about timing for pick-up and drop off. The shuttle is especially nice when you want to go to dinner and enjoy a few cocktails without worrying about driving home to the hotel. They should give Davante a raise, considering the number of negative other reviews on the resort. We had an opposite experience! Extra bonus points for having fire pits and a bar downstairs in the Clubhouse. This is a shared amenity with the golf club, but enjoyable nevertheless. We were even provided a s'mores kit upon request, and spent a bit of a lovely evening by the fire pits. Make sure to ask for the Clubhouse when booking!
