I hoped they would respond the next day. Imagine my surprise when I received a response at 9:20pm telling me that one of the guys from the closest store to me would contact me in the morning! And they did!! Luis, from the Fruitland Park store, called me about 8:45 but the fridge seemed to be ok. Then at 11am, it stopped woking again, so I called Luis back. He stated that he could get a new refrigerator to me if I could get there before noon. I got there at 11:30, was greeted by Luis and the guys who were working. I told Luis what I was looking for and he immediately showed me several models that fit my needs. I made my choice, paid and was told it would be delivered later in the day. I received a call about an hour later from the installer, stating that I would be his last delivery and gave me a 2-hour window. The installer was a pleasant, professional young man who showed up on time, explained what he was doing and about how long it would take for the fridge to be at the proper temperature, as well as how to run water through the ice and water system before use. He removed the old refrigerator and wished me a cheery farewell. I was very impressed with the service I received. I'll be back in a few months for a new stove and microwave! Thanks guys!!

Today, we decided to bite the bullet and head out to stores that claimed to carry Speed Queen. Best Buy lists them on their website but have none in inventory. You'd have to order them and wait for delivery -- one to 2 months. Same with Home Depot. But, Ken and Kerrie's had a set in stock -- they were actually less expensive since they didn't charge for hauling away the old set and included hook-ups. But best of all -- they delivered the set to our home three hours after we swiped the credit card. Tonya handled the transaction and was so pleasant and extremely helpful. She warned us that the Fruitland Park stored doesn't service the machines but -- that's no difference from Big Box stores. We bought a washing machine and dryer, had it delivered and installed and I'm already on my third load of wash -- all in less than seven hours. As a sidenote, the last time we ordered an appliance from Lowe's, the company set up a delivery date -- and did not deliver -- THREE times over the course of two weeks. Our experience with Ken and Kerrie's (and Tonya along with the pleasant deliverymen) is ... pinch us... we can't believe what a smooth transaction this was!

Their driver/repair person only comes to our area every so often. I just called the store asking for help and spoke with someone who was very rude. It wasn't the owner. She told me to contact Speed Queen even though I told her nobody is there to help. She is unwilling to help me. They made their money on this sale and don't care about helping me now.

I called the warranty/ Maytag number and am told that since I didn't purchase the Lowes "extended" warranty I was out of luck! Excuse me, what part of 5 years parts & labor from Maytag (its the Commercial model) would have me buy a 3 year overlapping warranty. But, Mr Appliance sent a tech. He listened to it running for about two minutes, said "Ive never heard that sound before?" And tells me the motor is out, ran no codes or any troubleshooting? Came back in with the estimate of $768. To fix a washer UNDER WARRANTY. ($975. Washer, 4 years old.) They charged me $125 for the service call but we're "supposed" to deduct it from my final bill. Ended up costing me 570 More to have them fix it . He replaced a perfectly good motor (and took the old one with him, even when I asked for it to be left, since I bought it. He ended up using process of elimination to decide it was the plastic gear and he "happened" to have a spare... for $80. Once that one piece went in. Ran perfectly. No break 9n the bill, no warranty help from Maytag. Didn't even deduct the $125 at the end. Done fighting both.. cut my loses and just let everyone know to avoid Both. Especially Maytag washers. ​
