The WORST "tv repair serviceman" you could possibly go to... I spent $100 for his "labor charge" for him to come out and take a look at my Toshiba TV. After 5 minutes of poking at it with a voltmeter, he tells me that my mainboard isn't outputting the correct voltage to turn the TV on and that I'll need to replace it (a $375 part, plus $200 for labor? lol..) I say there's no way I'm spending $500 to fix a TV I bought 3 years ago for $1k, and that if I find the part refurbished I will call him back to come out and take a look at it. I call him back once I get a second mainboard ($90 or so on my part) and he tells me that he doesn't know what's wrong with the TV. He refuses to come back out and look at it (without ANOTHER labor charge LOL @ THIS GUY) and now I have 2 mainboards sitting next to a broken TV. I learned more about what's wrong with my TV from internet boards and forums than I did from TOM. He might be an electrician, but he is also a cheat. After 20minutes on the phone w/ him, he refused to refund my initial $100 (since he gave me an incorrect/incomplete diagnosis) and so now I am out an additional $190. Still, with a broken tv. It's most likely the PSU (power supply) on my TV that is busted. I learned this after hours of research and self-diagnosis. I went further than Tom did and examined the fuses on the PSU and noticed burn damage that was likely the cause of the original problem. Despite this, Tom denies missing anything and will not refund the money. Save yourself, and your $100. Take your TV to a REAL repair shop and don't waste time diddly-daddling with Tom. He will scam you and leave you hanging out to dry. Thanks again, Tom, for your help. LOL. read more

Par TV was terrific. He was on time, seemed honest, was certainly qualified, and was the person I spoke to when I made the appointment. That makes me think he is the owner/operator which often helps with the quality of service. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why he needed to do it. He had the part i needed on his truck and was able to finish within 90 mins. Our Samsung DLP TV is better than ever. This gentleman was 100% better than the Samsung authorized repair business that they gave me when I called. read more

I called Tom at 6:45 pm on a Tuesday evening not really expecting anyone to answer. He was at our house within 20 min! He had our problem diagnosed within 15 min. He had it fixed in about 1 1/2 hours and our tv picture is as clear as when we bought it. Couldn't ask for more! read more

Just called this place. A man answered the phone who sounded very groggy and I could barely understand him. I explained my situation with my 42'' Samsung 720p plasma TV. I know a little bit about the components inside the tv so I was able to give him my troubleshooting opinion. He said he could not fix the TV because I had opened it up and replaced two mosfets on a heatsink on the power board. Mind you, these two simple components were visibly broken and I replaced them with identical components. What kind of a repair man is he if he can't provide his services based on these circumstances. My Samsung television was on the blink. I called. PAR. He told me it was probably the fan and gave me an estimate. He showed up early for the call, went to work, fixed the TV, and charged me the estimate amount. Two years have gone by, and my TV has another problem--I aclled him again today. I called this tech hoping to set up a service call and only to find out that he was extemerly RUDE!! I guess he was having a hard time understanding what I was asking him and got frustrated and told me that he didn't want to help me!!!!. Sucks for him I will just take my money elsewhere. I called Tom because my VCR stopped shortly after I pressed the play button. I needed my VCR repaired to transfer my tapes to digital format for editing with Premiere Pro. I asked him if he could come over and look at it, and he agreed to do so. He spend a little less than an hour thoroughly checked out the problem in a professional way and came to the conclusion that the problem could not be solve without installing a part that cost $400.00. So, I said to just put it back together, but by that time he appeared bored with his effort which cost me $95.00 for a little less than an hour of work. He put it together but did not do a good job. Now nothing works. I cannot even insert a VCR. He know that, but did not bother to repair a problem that he caused. From working in construction, we joked about an Oklahoma Guarantee: If it breaks, we'll fix it just the way it was. His work made an Oklahoma Guarantee look good. read more
