GREAT SALES AND GREAT SERVICE. We bought our Arctic Spas hot tub from Trevor pre-COVID, and he provided the education and help we needed to help us buy our hot tub. The team that installed the tub was careful getting it into our backyard, and did a great job of setup. Since then I've always been confident I could call or drop in and get any 'stupid' question answered quickly. Recently we had our first real problem with the tub. The team at Paradise Bay was friendly and helpful. Kirt led me through what to look for (just in case I could resolve the problem on my own). When I couldn't get the fix done, they scheduled Dave to come out, check it out and fix it for us. Dave was professional, quick, and thorough. These people who put one star are delusional. Are OCEAN SWIMMIMG SPA is the one of the best purchases we have ever made. Our 2 daughters learned how to swim in it, the jets are so strong for Swimming, the quality is outstanding and the sales and service personnel have been fantastic. My sales guy is Trevor and he is very professional, honest and very knowledgeable. I always go there for my chemicals even though it's far from my home and they also give 10% off. One star. Beware about ordering online. I got a shipping notification 2 days after placing my order, only to have to call a week later because the order had not arrived (local delivery). I was told it would be arriving the next day - nope. A week after my first call, I called again and was told it was being delivered that day. When I finally did receive it, the tracking label said it was created the day I first called in, not a week earlier. One of the items was out of stock, but it was not communicated - just written on the paperwork when I received the order, and a refund issued on the item. Just an overall lack of the basic customer service and communication that you would expect with an online order. read more

If you are out to find service for your hot tub or pool, keep looking. This company is extremely disorganized, unprofessional and lack ANY Customer Service. My first phone call I was placed on hold 7 times and took over 20 min to get the appointment that I thought was required. I needed to explain what I was looking for 3 times before they THOUGHT they could help. The service technician then came out de-winterized my tub and told me it has been cleaned. They spoke with my parents directly and explained their service was complete and advised my parents there was no concerns with the visual of the hot tub. I then called to book an appointment for a move, was able to get in the next day and was quite happy with this. (Red flag number 1 all reputable companies are booking 1-2 months ahead). The tub was then transported to my place of residence. I was filling the tub after I had to give it a thorough clean as there was still insects and residue left from my previous service. The basin had been cracked and was holding less than 12 L of water which is what I've been told is how much Antifreeze is placed in a tub to de-winterize (the full amount of antifreeze was removed prior to moving). I have called to speak with the service department twice now and every time I do I speak with Kirt. He is rude, interrupts while you are talking and tries to push you off the phone as fast as possible. He severely lacks any moral, customer service or any form of a civilized adult. He told me over and over this is not their service, the concern was before the move. Needless to say I am out almost $1000.00 for a hot tub that does not work or hold any water. If you come across Kirt in any aspect being professional or casual I suggest handing him a juice box and cookie before any civilized discussions. read more

Brutal Service & Nothing But Lame Excuses . You took my money which I paid in good faith in August 2011. Delivered a broken hot tub that was leaky, with cracked side panels and broken head rest. I have e-mailed 10 times and called over 10 times. Its January 2012 and still nothing. I did not get a fully functional tub in a reasonable period of time. Use these guys if you want crappy service and a headache. read more

My husband and I just recently purchased a hot tub from Paradise and I now understand why they are the biggest in Calgary. My husband is an Engineer and he strongly felt that Arctic Spas were definitely built better for when the weather turned cold. Paradise had a spa on a stand with the cabinet doors off showing how they are built. My husband appreciated this because they were the only store that took the time to show and explain their construction. Marc, the salesperson who helped us, was very patient and didn't use any of the sales tactics which turned us off from some of the other places. We did have an issue with one of the jets not spinning correctly, which we noticed a few days after delivery. They explained to us how to pop the jet out, and gave us a brand new one without question. I recommend Paradise Bay to anyone looking for a hot tub. Joan L. Calgary read more

Bought a new tub here, lots of warranty work, lots of expense after warranty done (breaking down constantly), days to schedule service calls, some of the techs had no clue and had to keep coming back to fix the problem (nevermind the time I had to take off work), just an all around headache. Customer service was fantastic when they're trying to sell you something, not so great when things need to be fixed. The only thing I found Paradise Bay good for is hot tub supplies. This company has a great sales team and can help you into any hot tub you want, but that is about as far as it goes. I purchased a high end hot tub from them and got very little customer support. A few things that have gone wrong with this experience: -I was informed by the salesman that they will contact me about appropriate delivery times and never got back to me. It was not until about two weeks after the due date that I had to really rattle some chains to get some thing happening. -The company provided me with the wrong information about what to use to connect the hot tub to the electrical. The hot tub I purchased required a very limited GFI that is not commonly available. -The service techs were very unprofessional and accused a seasoned electrician (20+ years experience) that he did not know what he was doing!!! -They were not willing to negotiate back charges related to their mistake in providing improper wiring requirements. I would strongly recommend that if you are in the market for a hot tub that you heed this review and look else where for your spa or hot tub. K read more

We purchased a brand new Coyote Spa Mesa, two man hot tub from these guys. Started leaking water as soon as we filled it and plugged it in. Called service.. Got the run around. Finally they provided us with replacement piping to fix the leak ourselves only to find out the parts they provided were too big (in diameter), probably not even made for our model of hot tub. After some back and forth, finally received the correct size replacement parts.. My husband did the repair job himself. Then the knob that controls the amount of air bubbles for the jets cracked and started leaking water into the cavity of the hot tub... Same thing happened to one of the LED lit cup holders. And now, three years later, the pump is busted and after calling service, they said we require a new pump costing approx $500. No thanks. I'd rather give this tub away for free than put one nickel into repairing this piece of crap. Moral of the story? Do your research. On both the quality and reliability of the tub you're buying, as well as the warranty and after sales services for the place that's selling it to you. I will never buy anything from this place again. read more
