I went to this bike shop with a small issue with my bike. The staff was super helpful and friendly. How things have changed. I recently purchased an electric tricycle and took it down to this shop this morning to see if they could help me with adjusting the headset. The person in charge there asked me where I got the trike. I told him it was shipped to me pre-assembled. He got very snarky and said "you shouldn't buy a bike online. That's we have bike shops" and he went on to tell me it would cost me $400 just to have the privilege of having his Royal Highness look at the trike. Apparently this bloke was bitter that customers were buying bikes and tricycles without going through his shop. So he was determined to get his $$$ one way or another. So if you have any problems with your bike that was not purchased from this shop, stay the hell away from this shop. They are going to extract a pound of flesh from you one way or another. It s sad how customer service and friendliness have changed in a few years. read more

I wanted to like this business. The people are pleasant enough, they certainly promise to do a good job. But.... promises come cheap and never more so than @ Paradise. I have used them on two occassions. In both instances they have over promised and undelivered. Both at higher than quoted price. I called to arrange a bike shipment and I was told it would go within a couple of days and cost $150. So after close to three weeks of promises and excuses it finally shipped at 2X estimated cost. The arrived in a patchwork box haphazardly packaged. For 2X price and 2 weeks beyond estimate I would expect that they would at least deliver a quality level of service. I was wrong. Very helpful, honest, and friendly staff. I got just the bike I needed. My salesperson at Paradise was Michael Volk. He listened to what I was looking for and suggested a bike that was a good fit for me. I am very tall and needed an XL frame. Then when I was about to check out I noticed another bike. Even though the store was closing he stayed late to let me ride the other bike, which I bought. Great experience overall and I am loving my new bike. No, I didn't buy my now older bike here but then again I'm new to the area and made that known. Missed opportunity for a long term customer relationship as I see it. My husband wanted to get into cycling and was looking for a road bike. He runs every morning and decided to transition to cycling. We went to Dick's and then Paradise Bicycles. They have a greater selection and the customer service here is really personalized. We didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. He even got to take it out for a spin! Greg helped us; he was super knowledgeable and helpful. We ended up buying one on his recommendation: the Giant Contend 1. My husband loves it and says it's the best bike he's ever owned. He got a flat shortly after buying because there was some glass on Six Mile Cypress. We returned to get it fixed, which they did free of charge, which was very nice of them. That's good customer service! Very friendly, very professional, and good prices on service. We'll definitely be returning for anything else we may need! read more

After spending 25 minutes in their store, watched 3 associates ignore my husband and I. The lady in go girl cycle was speaking with another customer on the phone and when she was finished she walked right pass us and didn't even ask if we needed help RUDE! The other two men in the store continue helping the only other customers in the store and still no acknowledgement. They have nice bikes with good prices hence the one star I have given, Crappy customer service. If I'm spending money somewhere at least acknowledge my presence. Highly upset with the staff. We walked out the store and no one even noticed, not mention there were only only 3 sets of customers in the store. read more

Bought my first pair of clip pedals here. The guy in the shop put them on for free. Then he said "Since its your first time with you're probably going to struggle or crash." So he took the bike in the back and put it on a stabilizer trainer so I could practice. Service like that is 5 star worthy! read more

I went in to Paradise Bicycles today to look for help in figuring out how to pump up my recently purchased road bike today. I brought in a pump a neighbor gave me and asked if he could help me understand how to pump up my tire (I am new to the sport). He just looked at me and said he couldn't help me. He said I only know how are pumps work and told me my pump looked like a Walmart pump (I am pretty sure he was being really condescending) . This guy had the biggest attitude in the world. I said I think there are only 2 different types of tire pumps and was just not familiar with the road bike kind. He again told me he only knows their pumps and couldn't help me. I asked him if he was being serious and he said yep. I didn't purchase my bike in Florida; but did buy my petals and shoes there. They either need to hire a more educated bike staff or teach some customer service skills to there employees. I will never give them any of my business again or recommend them to anyone. I was told that Fort Myers Schwinn is the place to go and has an excellent staff there. read more

I had an exceptionally bad experience while shopping at Fort Myers 9377 Six Mile Cypress Parkway Fort Myers, FL 33966 I visited this store on two separate occasions to test ride some Trek bicycles. The second time was very disturbing as it involved a different type of discrimination from an employee. I asked to try out several different models, during the spring of 2014. I guess my clothing , lack of a golf tan or something caused the employee to take extra precautions when test riding a bike. He proceeded to ask to hold on to my I.D. each time I test rode a bike in the front of the strip mall, in the parking lot. I didn't think much about it until my father noticed that he was asking for my I.D.. before being allowed to test ride a bike and not other customers. I thought about it, since my friend was allowed to test ride without handing over his Driver's license. Keep in mind, this is a very desirable part of Fort Myers, and not the hood. I called to speak with the owner the next day and she fully stood behind the employee's right to discriminate against me if he chose. I argued that this policy seemed quite discriminatory, since other customers were not asked for their I.D.s. She would not give on her argument and became quite unprofessional, goading me to sue if I did not like the treatment that I received. Make sure you look upper class before you shop at this store or bring your cute children along and you may experience the same thing that I did. I was on on my way here to Fort Myers and when I was in Georgia I noticed that I had a flat tire on my bike after I removed it from my bike rack. I searched the internet for a bike shop in Fort Myers and decided to stop at Paradise to see if they could fix the tire. Paradise is now one of my favorite bicycle stores!!! I walked in and asked if they could fix my bike and they immediately started working on my bike, The mechanic explained everything to me and corrected me on something that a fellow biker told me that was wrong. I highly recommend Paradise as a place to take your bike. I know every time that I return to Fort Myers I will be stopping in to see what new products they have.
