Some dude gave them a one star review because they were closed when he got there. C'mon, people. Have a little heart. Actually check the place out before you jeopardize a man's business for such a stupid reason. The hours posted on their website are current and accurate; they have little control over what some other website(s) publishes. I have updated Yelp's page with the correct hours, hopefully will be changed soon. Beau is always working when I stop in for one thing or another, and he's helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Also, he's pretty good at managing multiple customers at once. And Joey insists on loading up my bike for me. Have never had bad customer service in here. I recently dropped off my bike for service because I'm lazy and I like going into bike shops. $60 for all the usual bike tune-up stuff: drivetrain, breaks, wheels, headset, degreased, re-greased, other good stuff. The best part - I brought it in late afternoon and picked up the next day early afternoon and the bike looked like NEW - so shiny and clean. Other places I've been to charge as much, don't do as much and take longer. I'm stingy with my 5's but these guys earned an extra star from me due to their activities with the community: Things like volunteering their time to give bike safety and maintenance lessons at the local schools. One of their employees is a former BMX racer so the kids get to ride with him on a BMX track. The last time I stopped in I got to hear about a little girl who has a permanent disability, and courtesy of the guys at Hollywood Bike, had her walker customized with a special bike seat so now she can continue using a walker and not have to use a wheelchair. 5 stars. If you're looking for a new bike, Hollywood is located in a convenient location on Santa Barbara, not far from Veteran's, and behind the building is a nice quiet neighborhood for test drives. The store has a lot of accessories and helmets. Check them out! This place appears to be out of business. The bike shop on Del Prado said they went back to NJ. When we pulled up the place was empty and they were painting the exterior. I am not sure if they plan on returning, there were not any indication of reopening, no signs. read more

Great service with no up sell when buying a new bicycle. Bought my first bike there in 2011 and I'm about to buy another next week. I really appreciate being talked to honestly and without the arrogance of some of the other bike shops!!! read more

We just had the best shopping experience Hollywood bicycle Center. Beau showed us the Biria folding electrical assist bicycles that he had on the floor. We were allowed to take them out and try them. It was the most fun bicycle experience I've ever had. We purchased both of them on the spot and had them home within an hour. They were folding bicycles and he showed us how quickly they would fold up. He explained the electrical system to us and we are very happy with our purchase and the service we received. We have ridden over 40 miles in one trip and have yet to have the battery depleted on us. The assist has given me the confidence to go out in marginal weather and get home before I get wet. read more

They are competent but rude. They lack customer service and I will be taking any future business elsewhere.

Cool Staff, I really like the attitude and service here. The guy, Robert really knows about odd problems with bikes, and is pretty creative with rebuilds and repairs to save people money on common stuff, yet he did some clean museum quality work on my Trek Remedy and Epic Carbon both of which I don't let anyone touch unless I actually see the tools they have. Hollywood is equipped. Don't trust your bike to a Hack Shop with Pliers and a Screwdriver. read more

In today's internet world retailers need to give exceptional service. Hollywood and Beau do just that. I needed an inner tube. Then I remembered a new helmet was in order. Beau explained the options and I found the perfect helmet at the perfect price and the inner tube. When I asked questions about a new bike, even though it was not on the radar at all, Beau explained the nuances extremely well, even explaining how I could incorporate some of them into my existing bike. Overall, a simple trip to a bike shop turned into a very informative and enjoyable experience for this senior, casual rider. read more

Went to the shop looking for a road bike for my wife we found one of their rental bikes that my wife really liked employees were not very helpful but we decided to buy the bike anyway we asked what the price would be and they said $800.00 which was a little high but my wife liked the bike I asked if they would check it out to make sure everything was ok which they did but when I got ready to pay for the bike they said the peddles did not go with the bike, if we wanted them we would have to pay extra. Give me a brake when you pay $800.00 for a used bike good way to make sure I never come back. read more
