Just tried the NEW Paradise Bar and Grill location on Prien Lake Dr in Lake Charles - this is not a review of the Drive Through location NOTE: I know this and did it anyway, You Should never try a restaurant on their opening day. Went in for lunch not knowing what to expect and had no idea they were a bar and drive through prior to this new location. That being said we thought it was a Restaurant and in their Defense this is a "Sports Bar" with Bar First - and Food second. The waitress was attentive and good although when I asked what kind of Fish was in their Grilled Fish Basket she had no idea except it started with a "C" she thought, Indeed it did, Catfish. As I mentioned you should never go to a restaurant on opening day but there are "Soft Openings" and most of the kinks should be worked out by days opening. It is nice that they have sound absorbing tiles and floors to deflect the noise and during game days this place should excel because after all it is a bar and not a restaurant - Did I mention Bar? The Food: No Prices on the Menu - you have to scan a QR code to get pricing and if you don't have the ability to do that then your are out of luck on what it may cost you. The only other time I have had a menu without prices was a 5 star Restaurant in New York and if you have to ask then you don't need to order :) I ordered the Grilled Fish with Fries which was $11.99 and simply Water with Lemon and my wife had the Turkey Cheese Melt with Onion Rings $11.99 and Water with Lemon as well. My fish was great as I love Blackened Catfish, cooked perfect. They did bring me a side salad rather than the fries which they promptly fixed. Water is water - right. Overall it was great. My wife's order - NotSoMuch - They did not grill the sandwich long enough and the cheese was still almost cold, Turkey was lukewarm as well so needless to say she was unhappy with her order. In their defense I'm quite sure they were rushing to get the order out together, may need to wait until the cheese is at least melted -it is a melt after all. Received the check and my $24.00 meal quickly turned into $35.00 - oh I forgot to mention you get water in a Styrofoam Cup with a straw for $2.00 and then of course there is Tax and Tip which I always give 20% so that Equaled $35.00. I did ask about the cost of water for $2.00 and was told it was because it is "Filtered" - REALLY!! SO - in closing I would frequent this Establishment if #1 - I wanted to "Hang" in a great location with a Bar and great drinks. #2 - I want to have a Beer or a Drink with friends and watch "The Game" as there are plenty of TV's for Sports. Again the food was Great (From Me) Barely Adequate at best (Via my Wife) but again Food is not their priority. If you are looking for a Restaurant this is not the place for you. read more

My family and I went to the new location, and one of us got our food cold, but the daiquiris were great. it's also unreasonable high. They only have the prices online through qr code... Maybe they're hiding the fact an appetizer might as well count as a full meal with the price. The atmosphere was chill, and the server was a nice gentleman. went to the drive thru location. the burger was really good. the only things I didn't like were that there are no prices on the menu for food or drinks. you're supposed to scan a QR code to see prices on their website and i wish they had another pool table. the waitress and hostess were nice. Well today decided to treat myself to a Daiquiri today since I decided to give up hard liquor for lent. My usual go too spot is usually The Daiquiri Shack on Ryan Street. In Lake Charles La but they were they were closed due to post Mardi Gras Activities so I decided to try something different. We have multiple drive thru shops to choose from and all shops are not created equal. Paradise daiquiri is located on Country Club road across from Krogers. I had heard people talk about this place. But I had never gone. Well i was pleasantly surprised. This place is nice and located in a great area. The lady At the window was nice, very courteous and informative. The prices are also very good actually 1 dollar cheaper than Daiquiri Shack. The sizes come in Small, Medium, Large, X-Large. I ended getting the Large Jungle Rita which has 3 shots and it was delicious. Definitely worth every penny and the Drive. It's a little far for me but I may definitely worth it for me. Seems like The Daiquiri Shack may have a lil competition. I will definitely be back. I'm still sipping on my beverage and it is absolutely delicious. So if you're in the area go by Paradise Daiquiri located in Country Club Road Lake Charles La across the from Krogers. You won't be disappointed read more

By far the best daiquiris in Lake Charles...You can go to inside, or go through the drive through. There is a menu listed in the drive through, but they offer more, you can ask at the window what their favorites are. You also place your order at the window. They have multiple sizes, off non alcoholic as well, and jello shots. They even sell their daiquiris by the gallon. My personal favs are fuzzy navel if I am going big, or small I will get "Where Are My Pants." Friendly staff.. be sure to sign up for their rewards program with just your phone number! read more

My husband and I went in yesterday and I saw a group of girls looking at a daiquiri list that showed what was in each daiquiri. I asked to look at it and they quickly put it away and handed me the one that only shows the names. I asked the worker, Rebecca, could I see the other list. She rudely responded that I couldn't look at it. I asked if that's not the list the group of girls at the end of the bar was looking at. Again, she responded with attitude saying "yes but they've been here an hour trying to decide" and that I can ask what is in the daiquiris. I asked about a few and each response was full of attitude. We picked the ones we wanted, she swiped our card, and even giving my husband the receipt and pen was done with attitude. Needless to say she didn't get a tip from us. If the policy is not to show customers the list that shows what is in each daiquiri then that's fine but it shouldn't vary from customer to customer just bc "they've been here an hour trying to decide". And if I walk in and ask to also see that same list then I shouldn't be met with attitude. Tropical Spirits daiquiris in Sulphur is always very nice and it's likely that's where we will go from now on. If Paradise Daiquiris was my business Rebecca would have to go bc bad customer service can kill a business. Had she simply, kindly explained the policy it would have made a big difference even though I still wouldn't have agreed that she did the right thing by letting them look at it to then tell me I couldn't. This Place is Horrible,I don't see how in the world they are still in business.They Have the worst attitudes,The customer service is horrible and you can tell they do not care for their customers.Your service definitely does not matter.They messed up my daiquiri then they refused to remake it unless I paid for another.Then when I decided to go ahead with it I took a taste it was all liquid very sweet like I was getting a taste of that 99cent gallon of juice you get from the grocery store.It definitely did not have anything to do with the liquor.I showed her the ice was so thick once I drink it would leave a cup of ice with no flavor.That was the most horrible daiquiri I've ever tried.Years ago I loved this place.There was a much friendlier and professional staff.This was my favorite spot,and I've bought them so many customers.I went ahead and just asked for my refund.She told me she can give me a refund just can't remake the daiquiri,Wow!!!.So They rather give me my money back than to make me happy with another daiquiri done correctly.But I'm so glad I got my money back,I was able to get a better daiquiri somewhere else,And The Lady there was super nice. read more
