Apart from a wobbly table, that got changed out for us, this place was great! We came for lunch, stopping by for lunch after a trip to the Salt Flats. Tucked in at the back of the casino at Montego Bay, Paradise Grill is a nice restaurant! Despite being near the casino, we couldn't smell the smoke, which was nice. The tables were some sort of granite or marble, and were very pretty and heavy. Our server was great! He was taking care of the whole (or most of the room) by himself. We all got something different. Of the places to eat in Wendover I have to say it's good. Once in the restaurant you really can't see the casino very much so it's a good escape. I visited the Paradise Grill for breakfast while staying in town for a quick weekend. I loved the atmosphere and décor-it really does feel like a little slice of paradise. The windows all have large screens playing scenes from the beach or tropical forest. Cheesy? Yeah, maybe a little. But isn't that what casinos are all about? The service was attentive and friendly. The menu had a lot to offer, and the portion sizes were generous, although I thought the prices were a little high. I think they do that so they can then give "discounts" to members, making them feel like they are saving money. Went in for dinner. Jackie was our Server and was phenomenal. My buddy ordered chicken fried steak as eggs and I had shrimp/steak fajitas. To start I'm not a complicated person and have worked at a restaurant. The service here simply wasn't good. My dad and I tried making light conversation with our server to see what dishes were recommended and popular, in return we got a cold shoulder with short responses, no water refills, and a long wait time. The workers seem to purposely make it a bad experience with passive aggressiveness. We both got ribs but I ordered fries with mine and they came out a bit cold. My dad gave the food a 9/10 and I'll give it a 6/10. The grill in the casino was as empty as the Casino itself . So sad that so many people have lost their jobs . Anyway we ordered the prime rib special dinner . The chicken noodle soup was yummy . My husband said his salad was too. I would have liked my soup hotter though. The prime rib was soooo huge , I could only eat half. Cooked well but could have used more seasonings . Our experience was less than desirable, and only one of us finished our meal. To start, the restaurant was filthy. The carpets were so dirty, everywhere you looked. Every flat surface had food or trash on it, including all of the tables. It felt gross to sit in there. Staff was sitting around everywhere, not doing anything, and it took a half hour to have someone take our order..... and there was only 7 tables of guests... No one was friendly and the staff seemed to not want to be there. The only reason I'll give it a second star is because I thought the sauce you get with your fries was good. Only one of the three of us even ate our food. This restaurant needs some serious help, and it has to start with the staff caring about being there and the environment they work in. So I ended up heading to this grill with some teammates to celebrate a win, when we got there it did not feel like a win at first me and my friend decided to split an Alfredo pasta since it's a big portion, I asked the waiter this foo named fergium or something like that for a second plate, buddy never returned with the plate until we were fully done with the food and we ended up sharing the one big plate. I get that it was a lot of us and nobody expects a restaurant to be packed at around 11 pm but still I feel like that's a challenge of working in the food industry that things like that can happen and will happen and everyone should be aware of and since we got there around 11 pm obvious we ordered our food at 11 pm and we ordered an APPETIZER of mozzarella sticks those mozzarella sticks didn't come until around 1:30ish am when we were getting ready to leave, a teammate of mine had wanted a sandwich and fergium told her that she couldn't order it because it was a breakfast item which I get because it's 11pm although for me sandwich is more of a lunch meal but then once we were getting ready to leave I saw many people in the restaurant eating pancakes and hashbrowns yk? Like the breakfast items yet my teammate couldn't get her sandwich like what? not to mention another teammate of mine had ordered a steak and everyone ended up getting their steak besides her, then when she finally got it, it was barely warm which was just a waste of her money and her time! Obviously if you can't give the best hospitality, don't work in a place where hospitality is a key in that work place. Paradise is the "casino diner" inside the Montego Bay resort. It brings the same menu fares, hours, and reasonable pricing as all casino diners and will do in a pinch if you are hungry and don't feel like hitting the buffets or fancy pants restaurants. I ate two meals here and while neither are really memorable and aren't going to stay with me, both were passable. They were diner meals and diner meals are just that. The burger I ordered was served on sourdough and was pretty greasy. Not so bad that I could change the oil in my car but enough that it soaked through and made it tougher to eat. There was supposedly avocado on it but I really couldn't tell a difference. Fries were good and the breakfast the following morning was pretty good as well. read more

Busy at lunchtime on a Saturday- most tables were full. We were fifth in line but were seated quickly. We had fried chicken with baked potato, cheese and broccoli soup, and chicken pasta Alfredo with garlic toast. I don't they were ready for our 11:30 lunch order. Breakfast was still in full swing at nearby tables. Potato was nearly raw and the fried chicken was scrawny and a little greasy but was flavorful. Alfredo was mostly sauce but I'm sure some people would be over the moon with that. I was easily able to get fries to make up for the raw potato. Service was quick and friendly. We have frequented this restaurant in past years, they were always adept and the food was great! However, we decided to eat here during a trip this past weekend and things have dramatically changed. Several items I tried to order were not available, the food was cold and tough when it arrived, and it took forever to arrive at our table, the server was noticeably irritated and very abrupt with us, sad to see a Wendover staple fall so far. Overpriced, understaffed. Took 30 mins standing in line to pay check and exit restaurant. The food isn't anything special, we paid $142 for 2 adults and a burger split between two of our kids. My husband got a steak that was "pretty good" and I had fettuccine Alfredo that was dry. Mozzarella sticks seemed like they had been reheated or sitting in the window for a while. Salad was probably the highlight of the meal and that's not saying much. This is the typical inexpensive dining option to be found at most casinos. Its not great, but its not completely horrible either. I went here recently, for breakfast, and it was fine. It wasn't crowded and the service was pretty fast and friendly too, which is always a plus. I've eaten here quite a number of times when visiting Wendover and can't say I've ever had a bad experience here. Sure, this is one of the lower end restaurants in the Montego Bay casino and generally somewhere I go because it's convenient, and with good fast service. If you want better dining experiences there are more upscale places in all the major casinos, but I generally come to Wendover to play, it's not really somewhere I think of when seeking fine dining! With that in mind, I've found the many different food items I've tried here to be perfectly acceptable. Nothing special for sure, and occasionally a little bland, but with an average price around $10 per person how really can you complain? Service has been good on pretty much every visit and it has a nice, fairly intimate, and generally quiet atmosphere too so can be a good place to escape to for a quick break from the casino itself. So all in all, while nothing out of the ordinary, it is certainly acceptable for a quick, no frills, but good value meal, and as such the Paradise Grill earns itself a solid 3 star rating. read more

I ate at The Paradise Grill twice. Which is located on the casino floor under the walkway. It's open 24 hours and doesn't seem to have a long wait or wait at all. The food here is decent. Actually it's pretty good for a random 24 hour café in no mans land. The first meal I had was a patty melt & fries. Along with a Piña Colada. The patty melt was cooked well but lacked seasoning. It was bland. The fries here are GREAT! The drink could have used A LOT more alcohol, it tasted like a Utah Piña Colada rather than a Nevada one. (She) got the 1/2 lb burger they advertise and she liked it a lot. So much that she got it again later. The second time I ate here I ordered "The Montego Bay Scram". It consisted of hash browns with ham & sausage covered in cheese severed with two buttermilk pancakes. It was also tasty. I liked the way they cooked everything. Complaint with Jennifer Supervisor that works nights but love Lucia, Ceaser, Norma a they corrected the issue I had and we always go here at latest visits. Also I believe her name was Alcia was great & was last server as Norma might know. We had just a bad experiance with no orders over the phone, Which I think is horrible for a few people that are ordering then coming down or ordering to come get it and in this case they still did not make her pay for it. So did not make sense Jenneifer acted fuzzy about details as we have done it before. If she would have said it was a new rule due to others ordering a lot of food and not picking it up due to system thing with Hotel after I just happen to see Norma one day. I have never found such a better manager than Norma. I did write a note to her boss Jared Carter because I think that that they are ripping the bad ones up as positive I seen Jennifer pulling them out. But that was months ago so can't say for sure as memory issues but this issues I kow and sent to Jared Cared Carter to who is the Top Manager of Food Service. I love the food it is rarely wrong if wrong they are always willing to take off or have it remade, As this time 3 of them were really burnt but I was not worried about it as I can not eat all of it anyway. We've never been to Wendover so we picked Paradise grill based off of price. (We didn't want to spend more than $20 per person at the steak houses around town.) The menu is pretty affordable but we weren't expecting much. To our surprise, the service was pretty dang good. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I wasn't too hungry so I just grabbed onion rings and soup. We stopped by the buffet later and they were actually serving the same soup at the buffet. The soup was decent, nothing too special. The onion rings were pretty good. They came with ranch and marinara sauce. My husband grabbed the burgers with fries. The fries were definitely frozen and they actually came out a little cold. My husband said the burger was pretty good. All in all, I think the food is pretty decent for the value. I'd come here if I need to grab a quick bite. read more
