I'll preface this by saying that if you contract Paradise Landscaping and they are the people who complete the job, you might. Jon was great to work with when we got our estimate. He talked us through a lot of plant options, and helped hunt down a lot of the less common plants that we were excited about using. If this review was just about our experience working with him on that front end, it would be a much better rating.
Based on conversations with Jon and the high price point, we expected that there would be absolutely NO reason that we wouldn't get what we wanted. We turned down a lot of cheaper companies because we weren't confident that they would get the job done right. When we found Paradise Landscaping, we were finally feeling good about the likely outcome.
Unfortunately, when it came time to complete our job, they send a different company to actually do the work. I don't know who that company was, but they did an AWFUL job. A week--and a LOT of calls/texts/and time off work for my partner--later, we still don't have what we paid for.
By the time they brought the more rare/expensive plants we ordered, they were already past shock (which is especially devastating considering the price and rarity), and they haven't revived. They put the soil in the wrong places, making a mediocre facsimile of "raised beds" for bamboo out of SAND (you can probably imagine how well that held up...), created mounds of rocks above pathway height despite being asked 3 times to recess them below the path, and did such a joke job of securing a 10' tree that within a couple days, it almost fell on my car.
We're still trying to get resolution on these issues, but if you're reading this and considering spending thousands of dollars on a landscaping job, I hope this helps you reconsider your options. They'll likely farm your job out to a cheaper, inept company, so you may as well save some serious coin by hiring a cheaper company in the first place. read more
