Makaylah reached out an hour before my rescheduled appointment and asked for a picture of my lashes because it had been a month since I had them put on. I sent the photo, and 30 minutes later when I was on my way to the appointment I was told the price would go up because now I need a full set. This also lengthens the appointment by 2 hours which I did not have time for last minute. I was then told I can only get a partial refund because I signed a paper that says 24-hour cancellation policy but yet it was ok that they told me I had to pay for a full set, and spend 2 hours more there, just 30 minutes before the appointment. This is bad business. Never again. Highly discourage this place.

By the end of the service, I had what is commonly called a "ring of fire"--the skin surrounding several toenails was red, irritated, tender, and visibly overworked. A pedicure should leave your feet feeling refreshed and cared for, not sore and inflamed. Despite the poor quality of the service and the discomfort it caused, I was still charged full price with little acknowledgment of the issue. The owner pulled the nail tech back while she corrected the lack of polish and tailoring of the pedicure, standing over me while she some what fixed the issue. I am currently renewing my pedicure from a different facility. While completing this, the nail tech noticed significant crater with each toe.

Between being called a manchild at a med spa in Chicago, being so over-injected I looked like an a wax figurine at Madame Tussauds , and one charming injector who basically stubbed out their cigarette before coming at me with a needle (washing hands apparently optional), let's just say I was skeptical. Enter Nurse Leslie at Bella Via Med Spa. From my first appointment she immediately put me at ease, which is saying something since I'm usually gripping the chair like I'm on a rollercoaster. She doesn't try to upsell me after I mention I'm literally only comfortable with the bare minimum. No pressure to get a whole menu of treatments I don't want, and actually listens. She wipes me down with alcohol swabs to satisfy my inner germaphobe before administering my favorite poison (Botox, not actual poison, though let's be real, it kind of is). She's precise without being in a rush, presses on the injection sites to reduce any instant sting, and hasn't hit a nerve (figuratively or literally) once. Best of all? A couple weeks later, my forehead is smoother than a baby's bottom, without that frozen "NPC in a video game" look.
