Let me preface this by saying I'm extremely picky about my nail care, which is why I typically do my nails myself at home. However, my husband urged me to have some time away from our 1 month old for a little pampering with mani + pedi at the nail salon. Being new to the area, I got a recommendation to visit Paradise. I'm sad to say I am very disappointed. Space was clean and not harsh smelling. Decent selection of polishes - Essie & OPI colors - although they didn't have the Essie color I had in mind. Staff was not very friendly, which I can get over for great service. The nail tech began with my mani at her station first; cleaned, cut, file + asked for payment. I was then led to pedi station with unpainted nails and I was a bit confused. While someone else began my pedi, the first nail tech proceeded to paint my nails, while standing beside my chair. I've never seen such a thing! I want to believe that had she not been rushing and standing, the paint job would have turned out much better. However, the execution was very uneven coverage and inconsistent strokes - biggest nail peeve. Areas around the nail where nail polish crept into were not properly cleaned. The only saving grace was the rich working on my pedi did a better job, although not by much. Sad to say I don't believe I'll be returning. First time here was a fail - too bad! Time to find another nail spot in the area for future pampering :( read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I came yesterday for a gel manicure. It's been less than 16 hours since I left there and two of my nails completely peeled off! The rest are filled with bubbles. This is insane. I called to tell them and they told me they didn't care and I could write a bad review if I wanted to. Horrible service and the place was dirty. Will never return. read more

This place was ass. My GEL NAIL came COMPLETELY OFF not even a chip in less then 10 MINUTES of me getting them done. THEN the girl had the AUDACITY to pay me more, and it's so expensive. And multiple times made my friends and my fingers bleed because they clipped our skin. read more

I asked for pastel tips for my daughter and gave her white. I showed at photo and said that she wanted different color tips twice. Once the nails were done he tried to deny me asking for colors and they werent even able to give us what we paid for. He also tried saying that my daughter never stopped him during getting her nails done, so he's relaying on a kids input. The white French tips did not even come out good and were uneven. I like supporting businesses within Paradise Green but unfortunately I will not be returning to this nail salon. I walked in with my daughter (age 7) and requested a pedicure for myself and a mani/pedi for her as it would equal out time wise so she wasn't bored. They were very unfriendly to my daughter. The tech yelled at her twice for how her feet fit into the water station. This was supposed to be a mom/daughter time and instead it turned into my daughter crying and apologizing to me about being bad. Shame on you! Don't bring kids here! read more

So wanted to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure and my usual place was closed due to the holiday so I decided to check out Paradise Nails & Spa as it was convenient to my home. Started with the gel manicure. First, they didn't have hot pink but I settled with another color instead. As the lady was doing my manicure she didn't even take my cuticles off and the dead skin. Rushed the paint job and then headed for the pedicure. The pedicure took 10 minutes and again didn't take the dead skin from off my cuticles. What a waste of money. Rude person at the front desk. Leo my nail tech was fantastic- but the female manager AWFUL. I was the ONLY customer on a Saturday afternoon and as soon as she saw someone else walk in she rushed me out of my chair so my tech could take the next person. Like polish wasn't even fully applied and she had already collected my shoes and was staring down my tech. I dried for about 2 minutes before the manager walked up to me and asked me to pay... at the dryer. You shouldn't own a business if you don't want to be a business owner!! Poor techs there who have to suffer for their lack of decent management. read more

First time visiting this nail salon. Will not . a pedicure which was average. Also had a gel fill and shellac polish. I have had my nails for years and this was by far one of the worst ever. I left the salon so disappointed. My nails were very poorly done. During my fill my technician repeatedly had to stop and answer phones and tend to the register. I explained at the very beginning that I did not have much time for the fill as I had another appointment. I was assured that it would not be a problem and that it would only take 45 minutes. One hour and 25 minutes later I was finally done. To top that off I had mentioned I had a few nails that were broken and instead of her replacing them, she simply added gel over them. When I arrived home my husband commented on how horrible my nails looked. He commented "wow did she even file your nails? They look really bad" within 25 hours one nail broke, next day one more and by the third day, one more!! I called the salon to complain and was told the tech was sick. I was then told if she was not better in a few days someone else would take care of me and fix them for me. I made the appointment to have the nails fixed with another tech who was aware of what has taken place. During the nail repair she mentioned she would do a whole new set but only charge me for a regular fill. Of course, I was thinking why the heck should I have to pay for anything? It was your tech that screwed up in the first place!! Instead of arguing I agreed. When ready to check out she tried charging me 65 dollars telling me the shellac was another 25. I couldn't believe my ears! I refused to pay the 25 and refuse to ever go back here again!! Very poor service! Don't waste your money on the salon. There are plenty of other good salons in the area that do a much better job and that treat there customers better. The one star was for the cleanliness of the salon and the fact the pedicure was ok. read more

Hello, I was in yesterday with my two young daughters for pedicures. I have come to your salon often- because in the past it had been clean, friendly, and not crowded. Yesterday, however, the service was rushed and rude and the tools were reused and dirty. The chair I sat in had visible grime and the tools had been reused from customer to customer. The pumice stone was brown and obviously used on several customers. I brought my daughters as a special treat, and the people doing our nails never even said hello. They were in an incredible rush and I believe it is because of the way they are treated. I've observed on more than one visit how both the man and woman at the front desk treat the women working. They are not spoken to like respected employees. I don't usually write complaints but upon reflecting on our time at the salon yesterday, I felt like I needed to share my experience. They dont seem to value customers. 6pm close time is early, and will not accept appts after 5, so in essence they close at 5.

I've probably tried close to every nail salon in Stratford and this is my favorite. I usually get a regular pedicure and manicure. The pedicures include hot stones, they use a real aloe leaf while massaging your feet, and a vitamin E oil too. Depending on who you get matters a lot as well. Sometimes the owners will do a really good massage while others are so-so. The place is really clean and pretty as well. They usually give massages when your nails are drying as well. Sometimes when the place is not busy they give longer massages, which I am not complaining about!! Overall I like this place and plan on coming back soon. read more
