horrible, one nail peeled off and another started chipping like 2 days after a gel manicure. i went back and they redid it, and then 2 days later its chipping again. They are also starting to lift as they got base on my cuticle/fingers causing it to chip and start to lift on other fingers. I suggest going to millwood nails instead read more

there are a couple of good nail techs here, but unfortunately, the way that management runs this shop cancels that out. Several times I have made an appointment only to show up and find my requested tech in the middle of somebody else else's service.. I also get the impression that they don't treat their employees very well. I am going to look for another shop. read more

Let's begin with how rude they are when you enter. I asked to have a change of polish on my toes and I was told it would be $18. I asked the tech if that included filing my nails? She asked the owner who told her that would be an additional five dollars. 23 dollars just for a change of polish? That's ridiculous , so I promptly got up & walked out. We are from Seattle, WA, my mom and I had a great experience this morning, They did a fantastic job on our nails. A masseuse came and did a 10 minute massage on both of us while we were getting our nails done. It was a fantastic experience. I really loved this place. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. I would give zero stars if I could. Paradise nails is more like nightmare nails. First of all they are extremely overpriced. They charged $104 for a soa pedicure with uv polish! This is more than a rip off it is a robbery. Also, they are not sanitary they reuse the same dirty nail files from one person to the next, in spite of having the file and buffer in a clear bag. I guess this must be for show if an inspector comes in. The nail technician had no clue what she was doing to apply gel overlay. It was like it was her first day except clearly she has been working there for a long time. The owner knew there was a problem and didn't even bother attempting to see how she could resolve it. I left without my nails being finished correctly. Two of them broke within hours of leaving and I spend over $200. I have been getting my nails done for many years and this is by far the worst work I have ever had done. I don't know how people go here. I can only guess they don't know any better. I would never ever come back here again. Think twice before going here. read more

This was absolutely horrendous. Mani/Pedi service TLDR: got scammed and had a horrible mani pedi service; hidden fees and bait and switch tactics I promise I don't use the word scammed lightly. So disappointed. Pedi: The lady that attended me rushed through the process. She did not bother to correctly paint my nails. 1) Imagine this, strokes side to side, and a nice blob if she felt like she missed a spot or if it was not filled in completely. 2) NO BASE for the Essie dry fast no UV gel which I know for sure you need a base. I've had this same polish done multiple times at other locations 3) nail tech proceeds to insult and mock my nails as they are short, talks to her coworker about them in her language because she then turns to me and translated, "I slap my granddaughter's hand when she bites her nails." I said, it's the stress for me, but they're just not long at the moment. 4) She was also insisting on giving me the powder to elongate it. I politely rejected several times. If someone says no once, stop insisting. 5) a man came over and asked if I wanted a massage. Maybe it's just me, but I've experienced at every salon I've been to, a complementary massage for a few minutes. I assumed he was asking for consent, because he said "can I give you a massage, do you want one?" ****He did NOT SAY " would you like a massage for 10 minutes for $15? " ***** typical bait and switch. I never saw a sign on the door, at the front desk with the other services, or anywhere in the salon (from pedi to mani station) so I (wrongly assumed) it was complementary. Especially the way he phrased it. Not once did I consent to an extra paid service, nor did I accept to make another transactional agreement . This was a complete scam. Honestly did not expect this horrendous manipulative form of sales from this business. -- And only to be handed a $15 bill to pay for a massage I honestly didn't want. If you reject they insist. What's the difference ?? They shoved this down my throat. Lastly, my toes came out ugly and clumped. I politely asked her to redo 3 nails. Thankfully she did, but mediocre at best. My mani had paint on my fingers and never fully dried. I asked her if they were dried, she looked at me and said yeah you can leave now (in an annoyed tone). She didn't check them, I did, but I guess they weren't done completely since I ruined it immediately after I left. I went to the salon in the back "Millwood Nails" and they were absolutely lovely. I went for a wax because I didn't trust paradise anywhere near my skin after the whole nail issue. "Millwood Nails" were so kind, they only charged me $8 to REDO the ENTIRE MANI. They also gave me a complementary massage. Paradise nails, do better, get some more training in, fix management. A fast and ugly job will leave you with resentful customers like me. Unfortunately my mom made the same mistake with the massage but we paid the $30 extra because what else? They didn't care to listen. Even after everything we tipped and paid for a service we were not expecting, because we are decent customers. I hope you all read this and go elsewhere. You don't care for your customers, we won't care for you. Also, what's with the 3.5% service charge fee applied to ALL customers ? I didn't get anything new or unopened. What's a service fee besides already tipping ? I'm ALREADY paying for the service. It's definitely not for credit cards since it said nothing of cc and stated "FOR ALL CUSTOMERS". read more

This salon is clean and they do a decent mani/pedi for adults, but don't take your daughter here for mani/pedi. Unlike other nail salons, they change the full adult price for little girls despite doing just a polish change. There are other salons in the area that are far more accommodating for little girls (under 10). read more

Clean, beautiful salon. BUT I am convinced they use a polish thinner to make their polishes last as brief as possible. I've tried both traditional and gel based mani/pedis here. Every single time the lifespan of the mani/pedi is short. Have you ever heard of a pedicure chipping after only ONE week of a polish? On more than one occasion? Me neither. I've had pedicures last sand, sun, soil, breakups, marriages, degrees, DMV office visits, anniversaries, floods, hurricanes, mud baths, and Mount Everest and never not once EVER has the polish chipped. Omg this place did my nails so wrong I asked for black nails with a candy corn on my ring finger, first of all the "orange" looks more pinkish reddish then orange and I even saw the perfect shade of orange right behind her but she got that one, and my white part of the nail is big and spreading. I'm HAD been going to this salon for 10 years. They do good work. However, there is a thief among them. I left my pocketbook there. I called and asked them to hold onto it for a week because I didn't have time to go get it that night because I was running for a plane. Mysteriously my bag disappeared. Never to be seen again. I was a good client with 3 daughters, all of whom I spoiled at their salon. Spent North of $300 a month there for services and matched the prices of their services to the amounts of the tips I left. I was extremely generous to this group. The thanks I get for being a consistent, generous client is to not safeguard my bag. THIEVES. I will never, ever walk through their doors again. The place is clean and has lots of colors to choose from but the service is terrible. The person who did my nails and eyebrow waxing was not fit to work at a nail salon. This was my first visit here and I will never go back again. This is the only place I went to have my eyebrows waxed with the person not bothering to blow and cool down the wax. She nearly burnt me!! When I said ouch, she did not say sorry nor did she do anything different. She did not pluck nor trim it either. She moved so fast on my nails and eyebrows despite the very few numbers of customers present. It was like a race to get me out. The employees here are not as friendly too compared to other nail salons I've been to. My little pinky toes were not fully painted. I am not the type to speak up but for sure I will not go back to this place despite its proximity to where I live. What a big disappointment! read more

I loved this place! We came here to get dolled up for our best friends wedding and service and work was impeccable. And this place was so clean and service was very professional, and not rushed at all. This is the best salon I have been to and a new favorite! Definitely worth checking out as this is the only place that does UV gel nails properly and perfectly, just ask the owner she is the best artist here. read more

Recently moved up to Millwood. I work with children so clean hands are a must. Friendly and welcoming staff. It can be awkward for guys to get their nails done but the friendly staff makes me feel comfortable and I left feeling like a million bucks! I've been patronizing Paradise Nails intermittently for several years. The place is clean and I've never had to wait. The quality of the service is usually acceptable, but not great. On my last visit, I had a manicure and pedicure and these services were performed by the salon manager. She left me at least 4 times to answer the telephone and additionally, she felt she needed to oversee other manicurists' work when she should have been devoting her attention to me. But the thing that earns only one star, I left there with my fingernails all a different length (a couple cut to the quick) and shape and with one toe bleeding from how short it was cut. This is unacceptable and I will not be returning. read more

I bumped my nail while they were drying so I told one of the staff member and she just rolled her eyes and walked away. No one ever came to fix my nail, which is completely unacceptable. As a customer I have the ability to tip however much I want for my experience and if the woman that rolled her eyes at me also painted my nails she would be getting $0. Have some respect for your customers. I will definitely not be coming back here ever again. Its such a shame too because this was my favorite place. Not anymore.
