Worst nail place that I have ever been to. Please don't bother spending even $1 here. I went to the new burger place next door that was recommended (awesome place!) and then made the biggest mistake of walking into this place, I had time to kill. They don't bother with cuticles, don't bother cleaning under the nails - when I asked to do both better (since the lady was rushing away) she threw a fit and poked my pinky finger's under the nail so hard that it started bleeding. I was pushed to someone else who was more senior/owner who took over from there forward. I told her to give me something to stop the bleeding and she wasn't sure what she was looking at and asked "which finger?" I said "the one that's bleeding..." She was also not good at all but at least she didn't make my finger bleed! The first person shouldn't be working at a nail salon at all. The second person didn't even apply the nail polish properly and I sat in the drying area for 5 mins before asking if that fan is even on and they checked after saying "yes it is on" only to realize it wasn't!! I sat there for at least 20/25 more mins to dry and asked an employee before leaving to check if my polish was dry enough only for them to say yes and for the polish to come out by the time I got to the car!! Instead of doing their work they're busy staring at what ever else is going on in the place (which is nothing as well!) Seriously the worst nail salon service I have ever witnessed. I love this place quick waits and quick walk ins. They do have a bunch of customers which already tells you that it's a great place to be. They also massage you a lot and ask if you're okay with the temperatures which I love. They do many things a lot of salons don't to give you a perfect experience! RECOMMENDED!! read more

This salon is a terrific addition to the Briarcliff/Ossining community. I've now been several times and have had a great experience on each visit. The salon, itself, is lovely (they did a fabulous job of overhauling the old Radio Shack space!) with LOTS of pedicure and manicure stations, so there's rarely a wait of any significance. My nails (I'm a fan of the gel powder manicure) look fantastic and the staff at Only U are courteous and helpful. There are some folks who are complaining about "horrible service" when showing up with 5-6 kids, aghast that they're not served immediately. If you're going to show up someplace with that many people, CALL IN ADVANCE and make an appointment. Also get over yourself. Delighted with this new spot in our neighborhood and am happy to visit every couple of weeks. read more

My daughter went in to have sns done and they did uv manicure and color but charged her 85 dollars they never explained how much it was until she walked out the door. I think this is very poor business and I would not recommend this business to anyone. So to it's merit, the salon is very clean and modern. However the services provided are some of the worst I've ever encountered. My manicure was chunky and the paint was full of air bubbles. It chipped around the 5 HOUR mark. The nails did not even stay until the event. Before starting my manicure the technician asked me to pay, fine that's normal, but would not allow me to tip on card, and when I said I didn't have any cash on me, she seemed disgusted and motioned like she was going to stop painting my nails. Luckily I had cash in the car, which I said aloud to my technician for all to hear. Within a minute another employee asks me if I have cash. This is my second time going to Only U in the past month. One reason that I have only had to go once a month is because the gel manicure that I got there at the beginning of May lasted that long. When I've gone to my other place, it has chipped in a week. No chips here. Also, they work so fast and yet my nails look beautiful when they are done! I don't have a lot of extra time or money, and going to Only U wastes neither time or money. I will continue to go to them moving forward. read more

Love this salon. Clean, friendly and spacious. If you plan to walk in on a weekend , don't think you will get servic right away. They have become very busy and they try hard to deal with the overflow. I went in on a Saturday at noon and did need to wait but understood. Weekday evenings are better. I showed her a photo of the color that I wanted and explained that the girl last time had used two different colors but I wasn't sure which. She then yelled at me "pick a color!" And when I asked her a question she again yelled at me. At the end of my visit, she then berated me in front of customers, as I VERY discretely approached greeter & questioned why technician told/charged me more, than price reflected on board. Another worker politely translated & apologized for "confusion", but I will not return in the future. I went today with my 3 daughters and 2 of their friends with no appointment . Me and the 5 girls stood there for 10 mins or more, no one was at the counter. Then finally one woman said "one minute" and thats it. We stood there ignored for over 10 mins. I had no problem if she said, we don't accept walk ins, or they are fully booked. The first time I went in was for tips with sns powder and the technician was so unexperienced she filed my nails way too thin that even the manager yelled at her. The second time I went in for a pedicure and the technician insisted I get a more expensive pedicure than what I asked after continuously telling her no. She then snatched the brochure out of my hand with a nasty attitude. I decided to go in once more and it was a mistake. I got sns on natural nails and Sammie rushed and made my nails so bulky with a horrible design she assured me would look like the one I showed her. Place is really clean I'll give it that. A bit pricey but the place is nice. Giving it 3 stars because even though the girl that did my nails did an ok job she had a nasty attitude. The "id rather do anything but be here attitude". She kept asking me to get more stuff done and I'd say no and she'd get mad about it. Was slightly rough with my feet too, and while cutting the cuticle off she cut my toe. Also no music plays or anything so the silence is really awkward. I went there and asked for UV gel nails set, after the third visit I got a different person and said this isn't UV gel it is acrylic nails. So they have been charging me $48 for UV gel when I should have been charged less for acyclic nails. Just stay away and they have a limited color selection. read more

The gentleman going my nails appeared to have never done one before and completely messed up my nails to the point where another woman had to come in and take over they looked so bad. He left nail polish all over my nail. The nails were gritty and looked awful when I walked out so decided to turn around and asked them to try and make them look decent. I went there last week to get acrylic nails and was left with a set of nails that I didn't love all that much. The sides of my actual nail and even my skin were nearly gone all the while telling them that they were hurting me. I came back in less than a week to get them removed because they hurt so badly. I also believe that they completely overprice some of their services as they seem to constantly change week to week. Tried to have manicure done for myself and my daughter last weekend, went in they were very busy and told me it would be about half hour. I came back and the women at the counter acted as if she had never seen me before and then told me they had a lot of appointments and to come back the next day, I told I was told to come back in a half hour and that's why I'm here. I heard great views about this salon so I decided to give it a shot. I made an appointment for 4:45 after work and when I arrived I still had to wait until 5:15 to even get seated. I knew it was busy so I let it slide and what appears to be the owner starts doing my powder gel. 10 minutes into her doing my nails she leaves and I sit there for another 10 minutes until someone else decided to finish the job. The color I chose didn't seem to appear to be the same as the one on the sample so I picked a new color and was happy with the results. 2 days later, the color seemed to have changed and turned from a light blue to a green and there were already chips in 3 of my nails, when powder gel is supposed to last anywhere from 2-3 weeks. I decided to go back because for $45 it should last more than 2 days. The owner was more concerned of who did my nails, rather than the fact that I wasn't satisfied. She fixed a few nails and I realize that the color does not match the other, original nails even though I remembered the exact number. She tells me that tomorrow they all turn the same color, confused on how that made sense I trusted her judgement but 5 days later, I have 4 nails that are the original color and the rest have changed colors and over half my nails have chipped again. Thought this salon was going to be my go to, but I will not be returning. They have SNS, ANC, and Organic powder gel brand and I do not recommend getting the organic powder gel or any powder gel at all here. read more
