Mark Irby of Concrete Atlanta redid my concrete pool deck and did a nice job. He recommended Tom Gomes of Paradise Pool Services to redo my pool liner, add some steps, level a corner,and add a salt water system. Tom provided us a quote of $13,750 and required half of the quote at the onset of the project. He did come out with some leveling equipment, and began installing cinder block steps. He then disappeared for two months, and did not respond to texts or phone calls. Tom Gomes has been booked and jailed for Theft by Taking in Dawson and Cobb Counties in 2024, and Theft by Conversion in Hall and Gwinnett Counties in 2022. His business address is a UPS store in Lawrenceville but he does not live there. He told me that he lives in Cumming but records show a PO Box in Cleveland. read more

This man, Tom Gomes is a thief. My wife contracted with him to replace two skimmers. He tore up our pool deck, constantly asked for money, has not shown up in weeks and will no longer answer his phone. He had every excuse in the book for not showing up, the starter for his truck, the weather, etc. Our pool is turning green and is completely inoperable. We are filing theft of services tomorrow. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PARADISE POOLS AND TOM (Thomas) GOMES. HE IS NOT LEGIT. We signed a contract for a replacement inground pool liner in April 2023. He deposited our check and ran off with the $$$. The contact is bogus. The address on the contract is currently a restaurant in Lawrenceville. The Georgia Secretary of State's Office administratively dissolved the Paradise Pools, LLC on 10.28.2022. The address is in Cleveland, GA, but appears not to be accurate as of the writing of this review. According to the Magistrate Court of White County, GA he currently lives in Buford, GA. You can check the LLC dissolution yourself by going to the Georgia Secretary of State's website and search Business-Search for a Business-Paradise Pools. There is one listing for Thomas Gomes. I hired this company, to replace the liner bed, and liner in my pool. I received excellent service, and Honest fair pricing. Better than I expected.. Based on previous experiences, with many other pool contractors. The replacement liner, is better than the original. It looks great, and is high quality, with a warranty. The liner is perfectly installed.. The contractor was highly trained, very courteous, and very knowledgeable, of the pool operations. I feel comfortable to recommend this company. I definitely will be calling them, for my future pool repair needs. They did such a great job. It will be a while, before I need to call them again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Beware - when you search Google for pool liner replacement co in Georgia this will show up as #1. Family owned, 40 years in the business. He'll come out to your home with professional brochures and paperwork. I signed a contract for pool liner replacement and Tom Gomes, the owner took my $3,000 deposit in March 2021 and nearly 9 months later will not respond to my calls or messages ...no pool liner, and I'm out my hard earned money. Buyer Beware! I paid a deposit for a liner replacement in May and have not heard from Thomas Gomes since. He will not return my texts, calls or facebook messages, and his voicemail is full. It is as if he has vanished with my money! I would give him negative stars if I could! I thought I was dealing with a legitimate business, and read reviews and signed a contract. All appeared fine in the beginning. Now, after re-reading the reviews, I've noticed one is from someone with the same last name... coincidence? I'm leaving this review because no one else should lose their money. I'm checking with my local police and the BBB for further actions that can taken. I had hoped that he was just sick or there a family emergency, but after 2 1/2 months without any contact from someone at office, I no longer think that's the case. read more
