Before writing this review, I need to give some information about us and our trailer, which is something Scott and Duke at Paradise RV did not afford us the opportunity to do. We are full-time mobile living in a fully self-contained off-road RV trailer (kimberley kamper). Our camper has no black tank and has a composting toilet. We had to come back to Phoenix for a funeral and to move things to and from our storage unit that is right around the corner from this RV Park. We have a dog, and the temperatures are still in the low 100s, so needless to say, we needed 30 amp electrical hookup to run our AC efficiently. We originally planned to stay nearby at the Sunflower RV Resort (where we stayed in April 2023), but their office was closed for lunch. While waiting, we called Paradise RV Resort to see if they have any open spaces. They did, and they were $200 less for the two weeks we planned to stay. So we decided to go over to check out their facilities. We had already talked to Janet on the phone and told her we had previously stayed at the Sunflower RV Resort but thought we may try their location while in town. We looked around at the amenities and our potential site they were going to assign to us, and it seemed very similar to Sunflower RV park, just a little older. When we returned to the office with the intention of staying there, we were immediately confronted by Duke (in the front office), basically accusing us of trying to sneak in a trailer that they don't accept. He said we couldn't stay there because "we are not self-contained." We said we are the epitome of self-contained and were wondering how he drew that conclusion. He asked if we had a black tank, and we said no, we have a composting toilet but do need grey water hook-ups in addition to the water. He said exactly, "That's why we don't take trailers like yours." He added that he called Sunflower RV Park, and they won't take us either. We asked him if he was calling us a liar about staying there earlier this year, and he stammered around the question. So basically, he not only was calling us a liar, but he was trying to keep us from having an alternative place to stay. We asked to speak to his manager, who ended up being Scott. Turns out Scott had seen our truck and trailer outside when we first arrived and assumed we were a homemade trailer and didn't want us at his facility. Instead of asking us some basic questions or looking at our trailer for himself, he apparently sicked his dog (Duke) on us to get rid of us. Our trailer is an Australian made overland trailer shipped to a dealer in the US before being delivered to US customers. In the end, Scott apologized and kinda handled the situation professionally and invited us to stay. But with the unwelcoming mat that was laid out for us, we chose not to stay at Paradise RV. We subsequently returned to The Sunflower RV Resort, where we knew it was nice. They looked at our trailer and welcomed us back with friendly smiles. We do not recommend anyone to stay or have to deal with Paradise RV Resort, but we do recommend going down the street to the newer RV park, Sunflower RV Resort. I also feel that both Scott and Duke would benefit from some needed customer service training. They desperately need it. read more

The park was clean and secure, in fact a bit over secure. We were told to park in the residential part of the mobile home community and were never given a parking pass. So each time we entered the property we had to provide detailed information. What was worse is there was no wifi or cable provided and the cost per night was very pricey. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I think one thing should be considered when starting here... this is not a campground. It is a mix of permanent park trailers and RV pads. We stayed in May 2017 and most of the snowbirds have flown the coupe so the place is pretty quite. Which I loved! Those that still remain on premise always smile and wave hello. Staff is friendly. Security was patrolling on a regular basis. The pool is huge and warm. There is a large hot tub (Although it was way too hot outside for me to enjoy). They have pool noodles and aqua weights to workout with. There is a great gym and a smaller hot tub. There's lawn bowling and tennis courts. A tranquil pond with koi and a small for bridge. Also there is a dog owner section and a pet free zone.. Which I'm kinda partial to. Early mornings and at dusk you can see bunnies going about. The full timers in the park have some beautiful setups in their yards and you can tell they take great pride in their desert theme yard paraphernalia. Overnight rates for RV'S are fair and come with many amenities! If it wasn't so hot, I could see myself retiring in a place like this! read more

If you are 55 and over and-traveling in an RV , this is a great stop. Every amenity in a modern clean well tended good sized park. If you're looking for a Park Model... same deal makes extended stay or permanent residency just as attractive. Great people, terrific location, everything you need in a neighborhood ! Prices vary in park models for sale by owners or by the park but everyone keeps their places well groomed and respects their surroundings! Pets welcome in the pet side of the park as well! read more

This place is in rough condition, lots are mostly dirt and not raked clean, with ruts in many spots. The majority of snowbird residents are hard to get along with. Age appears to average 75 and joining any activity is tough because of the long time cliches. Lots of old lady gossip and people with nothing to do but cause trouble for rv owners! The park is made up of mostly aluminum clad park models that are in need of updating. If you consider staying here in an rv, ask for a spot near other rv'ers and not park models. By the way, careful driving in here, the majority of residents need to be re-tested for a driver's license! Don't even consider buying here, bad investment (many for sale)! The pool has chunks of concrete missing along the top edges. It screams bacteria. The sewer and water systems are in bad shape and constantly being repaired. read more

We've only been here for a few days but what we've seen so far is pretty nice, very clean and quiet. My only complaint would be there is no cable, you need a dish, but we are doing great with local channels, and there are many, just with your antenna. I love that they keep the pet section separate from no pets, who wants to hear a dog barking? read more

This is a lovely park that is a permanent home to many folks. The "park models" are very well kept, the grounds are neat, clean and well groomed and the RV sites are nicely level with full hook-ups available. This is also a park that offers a huge variety of activities! Everything from wood working, to stained glass, to swimming, quilting, painting, and so much more I can't even list it all. We stayed twice in April and plan to make this our home base next year for a month during Spring Training. read more

This resort is nice if you are a resident there but not so for someone wanting to have a short stay in you RV, especially if you have a dog. Their map indicates dog areas but they are outside the property adjacent to a street. No dog park inside the property. You have to be escorted by security to your site every time you enter the resort, quite annoying frankly. There are no bathrooms or showers close to Rv sites (understandable if you a resident living in a mobile home). Just felt unwelcomed . read more

Beautiful, well maintained park with phenomenal staff. All our initial encounters were with Liz, who is a knowledgeable, amazingly helpful person in the front office. Seriously, the kind of encounter you hope to have, but so seldom do! This is also one of the RV Resorts that is actually resort-like with beautiful grounds and tons of activities (more during the peak season, but also some during the summer months). First of all, Paradise RV Resort is not a RV resort; it is a mobile home development. Of the roughly 950 spaces, only about 150 are for transient RVs. I suspect these will disappear as they are sold to permanent residents. The remaining 800 spaces are occupied by permanent single-wide mobile homes. What does this mean? - Very dense living - No green space in the RV spaces - No picnic table on the site - Only a single central building with showers and toilets and few of them - No cable TV for RVs - WiFi is very spotty. I think I am now using a permanent resident's unsecured WiFi connection. Thanks. Otherwise - The staff is helpful and friendly - There is a large pool, several excellent tennis courts, saunas, a computer room, library and many other amenities. - Over the air television is excellent - There are many scheduled events - Age 55 and over; no children Just know you won't be among fellow RVers. read more

This is our 2nd stay at Paradise . Just remember you can't please all of the people all of the time . We love this place and are considering purchasing a park model to stay at least part of the year. The place is kept very clean and the staff is super nice . We have mingled a little with the residents and found them also to be really nice . Give it a try , not just for one day... you'll love it. read more

Arizona, Sun City, Paradise RV Resort, 10950 W Union Hills Dr, Sun City, AZ 85373, 55+ resort. Reservations were made for 1 month with $500 down, $841.66 to be paid on arrival, FHU, back in, and paid $177 electric (monthly or longer guests pay electricity separate). Not too close to your neighbor, as you park your tow vehicle next to you. However, all our neighbors were super kind. This was a full service Resort! Great heated pool and hot tubs. All the non craft classes were free, craft classes were minimal fee + materials. The Activities Director, Mary Anne Sanchez and her crew had a full calendar of activities, pickleball, lawn bowling, billiards room, good laundry, library, computer room with printer (gratis), Concerts and events. And they helped us with tourist activities both local and in the net stop. The staff and everyone in the resort was super kind. Except that 1 cranky guy. There are a lot of 6- month snowbirds and park models. They also had a terrific church service and weekly Bible study- true Bible study. We absolutely would go back here! We camped at Paradise RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel. read more

What's the deal??? You can't park here if your RV is under 24 feet? That doesn't make any sense at all. I can understand a size restriction if an RV is too long, but too short? The people who answered the phone could not even give an explanation as to why this restriction exists. She said she didn't know why. read more

Made a reservation through Encore Thousand Trails for this resort. Due to family issues we cannot take the trip. Called over 30 days in advance to cancel reservation. We were charged $25. cancelation fee. we were never told about the cancellation fee when we made the reservation. There are many choices in the Phoenix area and we will use another facility on our next trip. We do not appreciate a company that will nickle and dime customers to make a buck. read more

We stayed for 3 months at this wonderful resort. We felt at home from the moment we went into the office. The ladies there were extremely helpful and welcoming! They answered all our questions, steered us in the right direction and shared all of the wonderful activities that are available. This was the first time that we had stayed for this length of time in one place and we were anxious to get somewhere where there would be lots of things to do and where the people were welcoming. We found all of this and more. There were a lot of RV's in the park, along with park models that are more permanent, but everyone we met made us feel very comfortable and included. The grounds were very clean and well kept and the pool, spa, tennis/pickleball courts as well as the rooms for cards, jewelry, pottery, etc., were large and bright. If you can't find something to do to keep busy, that is on you because the list of activities is huge! We were as busy as we wanted to be and met wonderful people. We are definitely planning on coming back next year for an even longer time and look forward to seeing our "new" friends again. Paradise...you certainly have made this a wonderful experience and we thank you for all you do!! read more
