I haven't been here in years! Brings me back to the few memories I had. I signed my daughter up for their "super skate lessons" it's 4 Saturdays (you pick) for $50 skate rentals included. It starts at 11am, but I got here at 1045 so you can get checked in and skates ready. The instructor was nice, I didn't catch her name, but she was helping my daughter for a little bit. The class size was definitely bigger than I thought? Maybe like 20 people? Including grown ups to 5 year olds? There was another young girl helping her since there was so many participants. I spoke to Bob and he was helpful. Answered all my questions with honesty. I appreciated that. The bathrooms were clean. They had tables and seating areas. You can order food, cotton candy, dipping dots, icees, and more. There were arcade games with prizes. The place def gave 90's vibes! I ended up renting roller blades after her lesson, which was $22 (kinda pricey imo) and only skated for about 20 minutes with my daughter. But it was fun. On Saturday, August 16th 2025, during the 3:00 - 5:30 opening, a group of "youths" spent their time standing in the center of the rink, skating top speed, perpendicular into every group of people who passed by, occasionally following up with an insult. After one of these "youths" passed within inches of my 9 year old daughter, I packed up my family and left. On the way out I was very direct communicating this concern to Bob Bruce the GM. He seemed like a nice guy but was totally unaware of what had been happening on the rink. If any of these "youths" had touched my daughter, this would have been settled on the rink, certainly not in the best interest of management or their ghetto patrons. Paradise Skate is located in a rough part of Antioch, which is fine as long as management keeps an eye out for dangerous behavior and follows it up with an effective response. read more

A pitcher of soda is $8 Loaded nachos $7 (supposedly comes with ground beef, only saw 2 drops of meat, typical nacho cheese, and 1 pack each of guac, salsa and sour cream) you have to put the condiments on yourself. Giving this place 4-stars bc the community that comes through this rink + Kim and her son are amazing, but I am DONE supporting this place, unfortunately. Back in January, I was experiencing really bad anxiety and depression due to financial issues. I went there to feel better and spend time with the regulars I've grown to love. However, this older woman, who I had not seen since the first time I went there (not a great first impression either) told me to leave the skate floor bc I didn't have toe stops. This happened within the first hour of being there, after I had paid the $16 entrance fee. She told me buy some from their store or come back with my own. I ended up just leaving because I was so uncomfortable and too broke to buy some. They did not offer me any kind of compensation for kicking me out within an hour of being there, so I didn't come back for MONTHS. Like I said, I was having financial issues and to be frank, I couldn't afford new toe stops and I refuse to skate in their rentals (also and additional $3). I came back in the spring and Kim, I think the owners daughter, gave me 2 free passes as an apology for making me leave without compensation. She is a VERY kind woman, but I'm not sure if I would have received anything had I not told other skaters who frequently attend adult night. Either way, I was so grateful and excited to use it for a time when I'm down bad to on money again. So tonight (I'm literally sitting in their parking lot writing this) I finally was in a position to use the free entrance tickets. I get to the window and the older man (I think he's the owner) just shakes his head and tells me I can't use the tickets at night; only during the date. The ticket does not mention that anywhere (pictured below) & Kim did not mention that either. I'm so disappointed. I gave this location so many chances, I've introduced people to this place, I spent time & money here, even when I only had $20 to my name because of the fantastic people who come through here, especially on Adult Night. I only come on Sundays because the floor is so small and I hate skating around small children (I love kids, but they're kinda reckless on skates), so if I can't use these tickets at the time I choose, I don't see a point in coming back, especially if that's how they're going to treat their regulars. This place is not very busy and there's only a handful of people who are familiar faces here every week, so yeah. I'm sorry to have to share this experience, but I just can't with the owners anymore. Haven't been here since it was Roller Haven. I'm so glad that this place is still open. Me and a group of friends went for adult night on Sunday. It was so much fun and brought back so many memories!! I will definitely go back to skate again. 4 stars only because the DJ was terrible. He never once played anything upbeat or modern. Even after I asked he played 4 doja cat songs and that was it. Also, they didn't turn there lights off or the disco ball on. We asked and were told that they don't do that when there are a lot of people that can't skate. I get it, but there are signs posted everywhere to skate at your own risk. It would have been fantastic to have that disco ball going! There were only about 15 people there and only about 3 of them couldn't skate well. read more

Skate hours were 8-10... thinking we could show up a little early and play games or something... but no. They literally don't open until 8. So left to go get ice cream and came back. Staff could have been way more friendly. If you're the first face people see representing this business, you might want to be a little more welcoming. Inside could use a deep cleaning. I'm not asking for a remodel. But at least some cleaning. Yes even the carpets. A lot of the games were broken. The wall is used for kids to hang on too, maybe installing a railing or allowing for the push things to be used would be helpful. The bathrooms are not well thought out and almost a lawsuit waiting to happen. The girls has a drain hole and its grate on top was barely screwed in. Watched almost every person going into the women's on skates slide into the grate and almost fall. The DJ was great though and it was pretty empty with a lot of parking. read more

I booked a place for my daughter's birthday party 30th birthday party at that from 6 to 8 so that we can have a private skate party one of the questions that I asked before I booked was will the partygoers be able to stay for the public session afterwards however that question was never answered. I booked anyway ! they called to confirm and I was told that they need a guest list at check in, I'm paying for 1st 35 people and any after that is $15 per person but here's the kicker my guests do not get to stay for the public session but instead they get kicked out , have to leave the building at 8pm skaters and non -skaters and pay again to re-enter another $12 after I have already paid them . like totally double dipping how awful is that you have somebody pay hundreds of dollars to have a party here to pick them out why not just charge a lil more if that's the case . Blast from the past! I still got the moves with the skates. It was raining so the kids wanted to do something fun indoors.

We went to the skating rink with our entire school (smaller private school) and the customer service was terrible, the men giving out the Skates were rude even to kids The kids were told to either bring a lunch or money to buy lunch from the snack bar (many kids brought lunch with them) after taking a couple dozen orders at the snack they closed the snack bar leaving many kids with the options of candy or chips. Once our skate time was over there was a short rude announcement and nothing else I doubt any of us will be back, parents and teacher we're extremely disappointed . read more

Wanted to celebrate my ankle healing after spraining severely. I'm an avid street skater and it was pretty devastating. So with all these good reviews, I decided that Paradise would be the safest way to reintroduce myself to one of my favorite pastimes. The good: the quality of the wood floor, and the quirkiness of the decor. The quality of skate accessories/wheels for sale at very good prices. Also, the nostalgia of if all was really nice, as I grew up skating at the rink in my hometown every weekend until it was closed. They sell beer. The bad: the staff's attitude. The lack of good contemporary music. It all sounds like Disney pop stars and just, ew. Some of it legit sounded like Christian rock. Super corny. The distracting music videos on projectors. The lack of adequate air conditioning. But most of all, WHAT is with the lights on the entire time?! No ambience at all. It feels like you're skating in a stuffy warehouse. Sooo lame. I wish I could be saying I'll be coming back, but after driving AN HOUR to get there and being so disappointed with these things, I probably won't be back. Get it together, Paradise, for the culture. Skating is so much fun and you could really improve your turnout if you just made it a little more classy and less damn bright in there. It really kills the vibe. Based on my first experience, I liked it overall. You can tell by my reviews that I don't do 5s often, so a 4 is great IMO. I've only been to 3 rinks so far, but I like this one in particular due to dad & I being able to look out on the kids (14 & 12) from the food/beverage area and he can enjoy a beer & me a White Claw. It's a well-thought out layout. They didn't charge for my husband & I when we went, likely because we didn't make the whole 2-hr sesh and didn't skate, but we did buy alcohol. So that's a trade off. Kids fell a couple times, but no big deal because a lot of them are falling! Cubbies under benches for shoes are good. They definitely spray disinfectant inside & around the rental skates. Music was definitely for skating vibes. Entry price is very good ($5 less than the one in San Ramon). read more

I love this place, there is something very near and dear to me about this rink, and i think it's because it reminds me of my old skating rink I played roller hockey at in the 80s for 4-5 years. Its so similar its odd, but they are missing the arcade games of my youth, they are just newer thats all. I wish they had a super chexx hocky bunnle dome, and cocktail arcade hear and there by the snack bar, and all the classics!!! I have those at home anyways, but if the owner reads this, i collect and restore the classics, and hearing street-fighter 2 during red light green light, made me feel soo great!! Message me if you want to find a few classics!! O and i can fix your monitor on your driving games also! Lol Staff was nice, and the older gentleman at the front, wish i could remember his name it was on his shirt, told me some history about the rink! Dont let the drive way in full you, it seems odd, but then it again reminds me of the days of unpaved parking lots and this again takes me back! Even the lines and entrance are nostalgic to me! STEER CLEAR! SUPER DISAPPOINTED and feeling ripped off. I planned a party for my son, who was turning 15 and wanted a roller skating party. The package I chose was the Maui Party Package, allowing us up to 12 guests. It was $289 for 2 hours at the "party table" with 2 1/2 hours of skating, along with skates (4 wheel basic ones) for all guests. It also included a "party host" and very basic (cheap) place mats, paper plates, cups and sporks. We were allowed to only bring a cake or cupcakes, no other outside food or drink. Upon arrival, the employees ALL seemed extremely young and had terrible attitudes with zero personality. They did not greet us with smiles, we all felt like a hindrance to them. Not once did our "Party Host" wish my son a Happy Birthday or even engage with him at all for the ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. She was completely spiritless and inattentive the entire time and I do not remember once that she even smiled. We, unfortunately, only had 5 guests show up (which obviously is not the skating rinks problem). However, all five guests decided they would rather have inline skates, which the extremely dull party host explained would be an additional $5 per person. Here is where good customer service would have made all the difference in the world. Since I paid for 7 additional people to roller skate and that was 7 skates we were not using, one would THINK that they would be kind enough to let the 5 kids and my son upgrade at no additional cost since they were already making all kinds of extra money off our party. But no, even though I mentioned the fact that we had 7 guests who didn't show up and therefor aren't taking up the other skates, they still insisted we pay the additional fees. Bringing my total spent now to $319. They set up the extremely cheap table cloth, place mats, plates, cups and sporks for us and were kind enough to provide us with a pitcher of water. Then, without any smiles or enthusiasm, they disappeared not to return until the 2 hour mark; I had thrown away all our garbage and made it so they only had to remove the plastic table cloth; there were no "thank you for clearing everything off for us" or any questions if we needed anything... the "party host" just came over and with zero eye contact removed the table cloth and put the tables up against the wall to ensure we didn't sit at them. Their music selection, which they boast was "mom approved" had the music videos playing on TV's all round the rink and was pretty terrible. There was an awful R&B/rap song at one point where the singer was talking about taking women to bed and showed him in bed with a woman right as "Happy Birthday Brianna*!" scrolled across the bottom of the screen (*name changed due to me not remembering her exact name) but it was the name of the girl who was the bday girl of the only other party going on there and she was around 6 years old. Pretty poor taste to allow videos like that when 6 year olds are there. As for the skating... I don't know about you, but when I think of a skating party, I think that the roller rink would have everything going in full effect... lights off, colorful party lights all over the rink, disco balls, great music, enthusiastic and fun employees announcing their mini-games... Yeah, there was none of that. They turned off the lights and turned on the colorful party lights for literally 10 minutes the whole time we were there; then, for some reason, kept the bright regular lights on the rest of the time with no disco balls or party lights. Extremely disappointing for my son and his friends. There was one point where they were doing a mini-game and one of the employees was talking over the speaker telling everyone what to do and I heard a young boy (around 9yrs old) say to his mom "Mom, why does the lady on the speaker sound SOOOO depressed???" lol.. It's pretty terrible when even the kids notice the lack of enthusiasm of the employees! All-in-all, this is something I will never do again and I would definitely not recommend to anyone. Had I just paid regular admission that day and the inline skate upgrade price, I would have paid $14 per person. But with this LOVELY package of joyful fun, I ended up paying $63.80 per person just so we could sit at a table with cheap table settings and water. Even IF all our guests had shown up, it would have been $26.58 EACH and trust me, having that table and a useless "Party Host" is NOT worth that added cost. read more

Unfortunately I have to give this place two stars. I thought it would be a good idea to bring my son here for a play date but I was wrong. The customer service was terrible and none of the arcade games worked. There was a $10 deposit fee for the $3 lockers that say they cost 50 cents. Even though my card was charged the deposit fee they wanted to keep my card. I wasn't comfortable with this and the lady couldn't explain why she needed to keep it. She didn't even want to refund my money. The DJ hosted a Red light Green light game towards the end of our session. I must say that was the most exciting part of the whole experience. I haven't been to this place since the 80's My son was invited to a birthday party so I thought what the heck. I actually think I had the most fun. Not sure if it was just plain nostalgia kicking in taking me back to times long ago... Antioch was a small town long ago and this rink is like going to that home town county fair. It's familiar and staff was very friendly. The pizza served was mountain mikes ( our personal favorite) the bathrooms were tidy. The snack bar staff was friendly. I did inquire about the Friday night skate being family friendly and was honestly told that it's ok but Saturday nights get a little different crowd of older kids and such. They hosted my son's birthday party here and it was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating (although you can't bring your own food but have to settle with their catered pizza). They have all the birthday cake supplies and for their package, they include a dedicated hostess for you. The cost of hosting a party here is almost the same as Chuck E. Cheese, but difference is here, you get 2.5 hours of fun and it's not as rushed as Chuck E. Cheese. The place here is also more sporty as kids have more fun exercising than playing video games. read more

I stopped in her for a session this week with my son and his friend. We had a great time. The kids got to use these awesome teaching tools that help the skater build some confidence. It is basically PVC pipes and in-line wheels. My son was off and running in no time with this thing. Why didn't I think of that!? The new wood floor is AMAZING, I grew up at Valle Vista in Hayward and I always loved the wood floors so it was a great surprise to walk in and see they have installed a wood floor just in the last month. I spoke to the owner for a bit and he really seems to love what he does. I can't get over the negative feedback on here cause I thought it was priced well; everyone was nice and the place is by far the cleanest rink I have seen in my skating life. Booked the Maui package for my daughters 9th Birthday for today 4/21/18 12:00-2:30pm. Arrived at the rink about 11:45 and was promptly told by a young man " You can't come in now "... then an older lady asked him if we were with a party. " Yes, I am...Yes I'm the mother of the birthday girl." We were then let in. Checked in with someone, gave our guest list and was introduced to a nice teenage girl who would be our party host. She led me to the table. They provided paper cups, plates, napkins, table cloth and sporks. Since I had purchased my own Hawaiian themed plates, I used those instead. Pizza came, the host gave all the kids pizza who wanted it. I served the kids their drinks. I cleared the table after the kids ate, threw away trash, refilled drinks. She didn't help me with this. I had forgotten candles but she had some...whew !! Very thankful for that. She did cut the cake and helped get us more pitchers of drinks. I was sort of irritated that I had to do so much, but it had to be done so I did it. She sat by the snack bar on the couch on her phone. Hmm. Table got cleared and we had to transfer to the side benches, which wasnt a problem and I know that would happen. They propped the tables up against the wall and they can easily fall back on the kids if they touch them. Host let me keep 2 pitchers to finish up our drinks. Overall : not happy with the customer service but the place wasn't all that busy and the kids had fun. Understaffed at the snack bar and its run by teenagers. Would not book a party again, which means we have to go to San Ramon now for a skating rink. read more
