As I went around the store, I struggled to find anything in my size, odd since it is a pretty common size. I did finally find something, I bought a pair of shorts, which could also be used as a bathing suit. I thought cool. Bought it in my normal size. Got home. I tried it on, and it was a tiny bit small. Figured NBD, I will swing by and exchange it for the next size larger. Well, today I swung by to exchange the shorts. Walked in and was greeted with "Do you have your receipt, "like the piece of paper? "I said NO, but I have my credit card receipt right here on my phone app. " They said they could not accept this? At the same time, I was assured they did not have the size I needed. I asked if I could get a store credit, and they said no. My reward for shopping local here was 2 visits, zero new clothing, and I am out $65. I'm not sure it could be any clearer that I bought these shorts here. Note to shop owners, if you plan to survive long term, the service you provide in the store is EVERYTHING.

It was all so cute I had to walk out so I wouldn't keep looking. The people working were nice but definitely hovering a bit too much. Was told by John the manager and the only one who can take the measurements apparently that I need to come back in November when the school dance season ended. Last time I was in the store I was told I had to come back when the manager was in the store by someone who knew nothing about clothing (measurements, style, zero).
