When you call and speak with a manager to let them know they forgot the main item in your delivery order, at least do what you can to rectify the situation, figure out how to get the item to the customer, do whatever you need to do. When you have customers ordering from you for the first time and this is the impression you leave, it's not a good look. I called to let them know I didn't receive a 14 dollar menu item, and his response was "sorry idk this is the first I'm hearing of this. I'll offer you a discount next time you're here. What happened?! Came for dinner - waitress forgot to put in one of our soups and it kept going down hill from there. We sat and waited for our meals for ages! Every table, even ones that were sat after us, received their food before us! We asked our waitress who said "I don't know what's going on" and the managers response was pretty much the same with the added "we aren't even busy". When our food finally arrived it unfortunately was not worth the wait.The margherita flatbread was actually laughable - looked like it was made by a kindergartener and was burnt. Went here with co-workers to celebrate the holiday. Location isn't the best, but it's alright. It was quite busy, had 3 tables by the bar though for our party. Our waiter was amazing! The drinks were yummy and food was good. I got a shaken salad which was literally shaken at the table, haha. It was a cute touch. There was a live performer and he was fantastic. Came here on two separate occasions. One for the happy hour. One for brunch. Their happy hour is decently priced and including $5 martinis. On the day that I went, which was Monday, they have half priced bottles of wine. Got a burger and it was quite delicious For brunch, they have a special menu. I got the pumpkin and apple stuffed french toast. Came with bacon or sausage and home fries. Everything was really good expect the stuffing in the French toast was cold, which was odd. My wife and I sat at the bar on a Thursday night. The place at a hopping crowd and a cool vibe with nice decor. The draft list had a nice variety, but unfortunately the two IPAs we selected had just kicked. I realize that happens, so big deal. The bartender offered us samples of the other two they had, and we ended up getting one of those and a can. The food left something to be desired. My wife was happy with her Korean tacos, but the short rib grilled cheese was not as described. The meet that came on it was cubed, and not shredded (as the menu stated); in not entirely sure it was short rib at all as the meat lacked that nice tender texture and the sauce was on the sweet side. The bartender was happy to swap out my meal for the beer burger which had good flavor, but was cooked past medium rare. I'd be happy to give them another shot as I have heard good things about the restaurant. Everyone has an off night from time to time. Great service. I was extremely expressed with this spot. It's not easy to find, as it's hidden in a large shopping center with a Marshalls in front of it, but boy was I glad I found it. I went here after a work event with co-workers and just loved the atmosphere. It's a nice sit-down restaurant where I would go for dinner but don't have to worry about being too quiet or formal. There is outdoor seating as well, for those who want it, and the bar is in a separated area. The drink menu is expansive, as are their available entrees. We ordered nachos and calamari for appetizers, and the portions were large. I got pulled pork tacos with beans and rice as a side and they were better than those I have gotten at many authentic Mexican restaurants. I came here for a birthday dinner for one of my friends. I had never been here before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. To start the restaurant is actually set back a bit from the road and the GPS suggested that I go past the entrance, so watch for that. The place itself is decorated nicely and makes you feel like the place is a bit more upscale. First, I order a drink (my standard Makers Mark and Coke) and the prices were a bit higher than other places that I've been too. They weren't horrible but $11 for a whisky and Coke is a bit much. The prices of the food weren't that bad even though the drink prices were a bit high. The selection was pretty good, but I decided to order a jersey burger (fried egg and all). The service was quick and friendly. When we asked for anything it was brought out quickly. The food was also brought out pretty quickly which I always appreciate. The food was flavored well and cooked as I ordered (medium for the burger). The fries were actually seasoned more than with just salt. Even though I ordered a burger and that's about all I expected, the food was actually better than I thought it would be. In all, this is a good place to go out to eat with an atmosphere that is a step above casual. The drinks are a bit pricy and that's why I took off one star, but the food is good and so is the service. Make sure that your GPS knows where to go and you'll have s good time at dinner. read more

So this was my first time here, I've always wanted to go in but it's usually before or after the gym and I'm in a cap & sneakers, but today I didn't care & decided to sit at the bar. Because I'm somewhat of a picky eater I played it safe and had the buffalo wings & the mixed green salad. The wings were really good & to my liking, not too hot & not too mild, I only ate the flats & 1/2 drumstick part ( you know I only like flats). I didn't enjoy the salad as much because it had too much balsamic vinaigrette. The Peach Sangria was a nice addition to my meal, not too sweet, but just the right amount of alcohol (I'm turning into a lightweight & cant drink the way I use to). 1 drink was more than enough for me. I'll definitely try this place again, but next time I'll be a little more adventurous in my choices; when trying Restaurants for the first time, I'm learning to go in with caution. Burger was delicious. Fries perfect. The problem for me was ordering a dish that should not be on the menu. The Duck Quesadilla. The waiter first warned me that it was spicy. I like spicy. He said the restaurant had two dishes on the menu that it would not take back and the duck was one. He asked if I like kick, I do. So we left the order. The duck came and I ate it. The problem was not the spice. The problem was that there was so much ghost pepper in the dish, it was not really a dish anymore. After three bites, you could not taste the duck, not the slaw on top, not the Mayo spritz, not anything. My tastebuds went numb. Why have this dish on the menu???? Why should the waiter have to give warnings? Why will the restaurant not take it back? It's problematic all around, not sensible business, and alienating. It's a giant meatball stuffed with penne pasta carbonara with peas and bacon, and covered in one of the most delicious vodka sauces I have ever tasted. Terrible experience, though the manager did try to make it right. Sat down for a late lunch on a Saturday. No size information for beers on the "vault" part of the menu, asked the waitress for more information and didn't get it. Got brought a champagne sized bottle of beer for 1 person that we were told couldn't be sent back because it was already opened ... I let it go. Food took an hour to come out (late lunch on a Sat, we were one of maybe 5 parties in the entire restaurant) and somehow, as soon as we asked about it, it was ready and came right out ... I let it go. The order was wrong and the food was cold ... I let it go. Then I explained to the waitress that we couldn't finish the gigantic bottle of beer that she had brought out and made us take, even though we told her what size we were looking for. She said that she'd put it in a 'squeeler' for us to take home. Great. Then she tells us that she's going to charge us another $5 for it. And that one I wasn't going to let go. I pushed back and told her that our food was cold and wrong, we were brought a large beer we didn't want after explaining what we were looking for and the overall experience was terrible. Eventually, a manager came out and tried to make it right by giving us a discount on the beer (but he did take back what we hadn't drank so...) and on our food. He gave us coupons to come back...we obviously never will be. Overall, for the price, this place is a horrible value. I met some friends here on a Friday night, it wasnt crowded and they were seated right away. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, but its loud, which didnt bother me one bit. We ordered the lobster corn fritter to start, at the waiters recommendation, and they were delicious. For me, the slaw actually was the star and not the fritter, it was an apple slaw that was so fresh and tangy, I ate it alone without the fritter lol. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese, very, very heavey I ate one half and felt near comatose. It was also greasy, in a way that starts of good but then makes you too sluggish. My friend had the Cobb salad and enjoyed the pumpkin vinaigrette especially. My other friend had some other type of salad which was nothing to write home about. Grading on a curve for location, sure, I'd give this place 4 stars. Paragon has an excellent beer selection: lots of great choices on tap, lots more by the bottle, with a wide range covered. You could come here for the beer alone and leave happy. For food: the burgers I've tried have all been good. Last time I opted for the Bacon Eater: a thick patty (probably a third- to a half-pound), medium rare, topped with thick bacon slices and blue cheese, all on a nice brioche roll. Very good. Wings and other apps have also been fine. Service (from Mimi) has been friendly and attentive. In terms of decor / setting, it's a bit lacking in character. The furnishings are all new, middle-of-the-road. Not out of place for the strip-mall setting, I guess. So you wouldn't come here for the vibe, but everything else is good. read more

Love Paragon and its one of my favorite places. My last experience was a bummer because it was New Year's Eve and we were looking for a little dinner and drinks. Well food was limited and full price, so were the drinks. Other than that, our server clearly didn't want our table. He would pass us and tend to other people and when it became our turn, he was cold. That's not like any other experience we had a paragon before. Tucked in a shopping mall, this does not seem like an ideal location, but once you've eaten at Paragon, you feel like you've been let in on Clark's greatest secret. I ate at a table in the bar, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They offer a myriad of craft beers, and short descriptions for each. I ordered a flight of beers and the Bacon-Eater Burger, with their Pretzel appetizer to start. The cheddar ale sauce for the pretzels was perfectly balanced flavors, and not too thick. The whole grain mustard and fig jam complimented the board perfectly. The burger. If this burger is any hint as to how good the rest of the food is, I'm in foodie heaven! Bacon onion jam, slab bacon, and a perfectly cooked, not-too-thin patty. This restaurant met my expectations, and then some. read more

My visit to Paragon was for some happy hour fun with friends. I have to say that I honestly enjoyed the whole experience. The drinks were perfect, food was delicious, and the ambiance was just excellent. Considering that it's located in a strip mall with the giant Target superstore close by I felt that this bar can be located in some neighborhood in NYC or Boston. When I was there the vibe of the crowd exuded that feeling. Our server was fantastic and really knew how to take care of her customers. I can only comment on the bar area since that's where I sat but I asked a friend of mine who has also visited this place for dinner and they said that the dining area is just as good--just more intimate. Now as others have pointed out the bar area is to your right when you walk in. The decor is chic and modern which gives it that NYC/Boston feel and there's plenty of seats to sit with friends comfortably. I don't know how crowded this place gets on busy nights but I think there would be enough space to accommodate a decent size crowd. Now my choice of drink was the Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale since you know it's fall and all. It's a perfect fall drink with it's mild hint of pumpkin flavor and a nice caramel finish. All credit goes to our server for suggesting this particular one and I was definitely a happy Homer (yuummmm beer!) Now I also got to try their Drew pear martini. Man do they know how to make a martini! None of that watered-down garbage but actually a martini where you can taste the subtle flavor of the fruit in the liquor. And to top it off they do not skimp on that alcohol. One taste and I was like "whoah! that's a cocktail alright!" To go along with the wonderful drinks we ordered some calamari, onion rings, buffalo chicken dip, and wings. The portion sizes were just right and for three people it was enough to fill us up. The buffalo chicken dip was a cracktastic! My friends and I were saying how we could eat a whole tub of it. It was thick, meaty, and so much flavor. I just kept on dipping and dipping all the while trying to fend off the other two hungry hippos! This is absolutely a must get whether you're at the dining room or the bar area. The wings did not disappoint as well. We chose half dry rub and the other wet sauce. The voodoo and sevendust flavors were quite excellent. Perfectly tangy and the right amount of spice. I was feeling adventurous and had wanted to get the ghost pepper but since there's no givebacks I didn't want to screw myself over. If you're around this area feel free to give Paragon a try. It's a great place for some happy hour fun and right after you can always burn all the beer and food you just downed by shopping at the Target right across. Quickie: Came for a Friday happy hour around 4:30. Bar area was INSANELY noisy. I know I'm old, but damn! Bar is kinda cramped for a "gastropub", as I was hoping they would have removed some of the large restaurant space for a bigger bar, but oh well. Great beer selection! Tried 3 underwhelming, although not bad apps for $6 each at happy hour: buffalo chicken dip was good, but no better or worse than your average tailgate party version. Pesto flatbread was decent, but wouldn't have minded it being crispier. Wings were solid, but needed to be just a TAD more crispy. The Southwest burger was the star of our gastro-show. Temperature was perfect medium rare, more cheese than you average burger, which was nice, and the fried onions were spot on. Add a brioche bun and some above average fries and you're in business. Service was pretty good, when you could hear your waitress. I'll be back to check out some of their other options, but I'll probably skip the apps. read more

I'm not sure if we caught this place on an off day, but I was not there impressed. The reviews raved about them so I cam with family to celebrate a birthday. We started with deviled eggs, and the burrata. I have to give props on the burrata because it was very good and my sister and I enjoyed the deviled eggs. We ordered cocktails which were very watered down. Our waiter was confused about what was available on the menu and we had to show him the menu just to get our drink order in. For entrees, it was a mix of the scallops, salmon, crabcakes, short ribs, and ramen. I had the scallops and they were pretty good, there's a nice surprise of pork belly hidden under the risotto. My husband had the crabcakes and was left looking for the crab in the crabcakes. The short rib was bland and couldve cooked a little longer to be more tender. My dad said he enjoyed his salmon and my mom said the ramen bowl was good, though it could've used a little more flavor in the broth. We had dessert of course, cheesecake and carrot cake to share. The cheesecake was just okay, again lacking flavor, but the carrot cake was pretty good. Our waiter knew we were celebrating a birthday so he was nice enough to bring out a free dessert addition to the table. It was a mason jar or layered mousse, so that was very kind of him. Overall, not the nearly 5 stars the place is boasting. It was hit or miss with the menu and we likely will not be returning. read more
