Visited some friends recently who took us to eat dinner at Paragon Tap & Grill. Before going, they claimed Paragon was a great place to get food. From the outside, it didn't look like anything special or a place to rave about but I quickly learned why it was all the talk with them. Since it was a Saturday night, they had a nice crowd and the place itself had a feel of both a sports bar and a brew pub. The one side was more of a sports bar type of feel (or setup) and the other half had more of a brew pub type of feel. After looking at the menu, I decided to go with the healthier choice so I ordered the Drunken Parm Sandwich. I wish I took a picture of the sandwich when it came out because it looked very good and like it was made fresh. Almost immediately, the server came over to me to let me know that they made me real chicken rather than the vegetarian chicken and said she would take it back for the vegetarian chicken. I opted to keep it since I knew there was a chance it would probably get thrown out. I took one bite of the sandwich and I have to say, it was one of the BEST chicken parm sandwiches I've ever had. It was piping hot and tasted fresh. From the chicken, to the sauce, to the bun, it all tasted fresh and practically melted in my mouth. It was a little on the salty side but aside from that, it was made to perfection. To top the night, as we were paying the bill, our server Maya (who was very friendly and tentative during our visit) handed me a take out container with the veggie chicken parm sandwich in it AND the general manager Greg came over to me to apologize for the mistake and said the veggie chicken parm was on the house. It's very rare for me that this happens. I wish I lived closer to Paragon so I can go back more often but believe me, I'll be back there for drinks and dinner next time I'm in the area. I highly recommend going there. Their service, food, and drinks will not disappoint.

My fiancée and I went here with our dog . Place was super cute and inviting . Our waitress MAYA, was perfect with everything we asked for between ourselves and our dog . As well as CRAIG the manager, introduced himself and noticed that we were the ones that called and asked if they allow dogs. They had a doggie menu and for our picky one it was perfect , we just ordered APPS , definitely over ordered but what we got was great, garlic parm wings, hot honey pepperoni pizza, truffle fries, burrata and the pork lettuce wraps. We will be returning in the future.

A creative gastropub tucked at the back of a strip mall with ample parking - very close to the Garden State Parkway. Nice bar area with high top seating, next to a more intimate dining room area. Excellent appetizers (wings and Buffalo chicken dip our favorites), great sandwiches and entrees. Wide variety of craft beers, huge selection of spirits and creative cocktails. Service is always fast and friendly. They often have live music, which was the case on the Friday we were there. They have brunch (very good) and in warmer weather they have dog happy hour outside.

Good food, good service, decent prices. The paragon is not located in the most convenient place but it is for sure a semi hidden gem. I love a place with a happy hour and the menu does not disappoint. the food was good, the drinks were good and best of all they have outside dining! Happy hour and outside dining automatically get you an extra star. The service was good, we were checked on regularly and everyone was very friendly. This could easily become a regular hangout spot after work.

Paragon was a convenient meeting point for a Sunday brunch. Decor is simple and modern. We were seated immediately and had a friendly server throughout our meal. We had a Caesar salad and their chicken and beef tacos. They were tasty and well presented. Overall a good spot with a varied menu.

Paragon is a go-to when I'm in the mood for flavorful craft beer--there's always something new to try, which keeps it fun. The buffalo chicken dip is a must--light, whipped, and dangerously easy to keep eating. Entree portions are generous, so definitely share if you're just snacking. Lots of TVs in the bar area too, so it's a solid spot to catch a game with friends and a cold beer in hand. Laid-back vibes, great beer, and that dip alone is worth the visit!

PROs- IPA varieties, ambience , service CONs - location First time .. I have passed by this place so many times and didn't know there was a Bar in this locality.. location wise , it's too much inside , from the road and we hardly can see this shop.. I should say it's a "Hidden gem".. fantastic spot .. lots of parking available and lots of seats inside to dine-in. Price was good. They had so many IPAs on tap. I was amazed with the selections.. they give u beers to taste , so u can pick the correct one . Loved their Equilibrium hazy IPA. Great service . Also ordered empanadas : they were ok .. service was superb . Ambience is awesome . Loved the place .

December 20th brings National Sangria Day! Cheers with Blood Orange Sangria from @paragontapandtable !! High compliments to Chef Brice !! the seared scallops were a wonderful medley of flavors and textures. Our Server Mike was simply the best!! Loved the Shimmering Fig Cocktail!! Looking forward to returning!! Happy Holidays!! Plus: support local artists! Love that!!

We've been here just over a dozen times. Yes, it is a hidden gem behind the Marshall's. Great beer selection of local breweries and really good food options. On this visit we had the Truffle & Parm Fries, Steak Wedge Salad ($20) & Santa Fe Chicken Salad ($18), as well as a beer flight. The staff are really helpful in deciding what types of beers would match your tastes. Both waitresses we had tonight were excellent. Bathrooms are very clean as well. The only thing I would change is to label the beers on the beer flight (as other establishments do) because sometimes you have a really good beer, but you can't remember which one it was and maybe to turn off the music in the background when it's really busy because it can get really loud in there and hard to have a conversation with anyone else at your table.

It was my first time doing karaoke and I honestly don't know that I would do it again. We booked a karaoke room for an hour for 6 people on a Thursday evening, and while the singing was fun, the service was below subpar. When we arrived, we did not have a full menu available to us in the room, so it took a few mins to get our order in. Our server kept close tabs of every minute in karaoke, but not the food. It took over 60 minutes to get our wings! Apparently there was some sort of mix up in the kitchen & while we were understanding, what threw us for a loop was that even though our wings were DELAYED, our server was hesitant to offer complimentary time in our karaoke room while we waited. Right at the 60-minute mark, he was quick to offer two options - our wings to go or a table in the dining room. In the end, we had to negotiate an extra hour in the karaoke room since our food took SO long to come out. When paying the check, we were surprised to see a charge for food we never ever received! I'm super disappointed that they tried to take advantage of us, when we were very understanding of their mix up. In my opinion, servers could use a lesson or two in customer service. Never in my time in hospitality, have I ever behaved in the way they did.

I dared to try the cauliflower wings (half & half), which actually wasn't bad. Both flavors was good, although I personally like the spicy better (just make sure you can handle it, although it won't be too bad if you're used to spicy food). Garlic fried rice was okay, but not the best. Also seems like they don't give you a side of pickled radish at this point, but maybe that's because we're in Jersey. Also the kimchi fries weren't what I expected. What the fries were crispy and tasty, they just give you a tiny cup of kimchi cheese sauce. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expected the fries to be way more loaded. I ordered for pickup and it did take a lot longer than expected. I also felt sorry for the hostess, who was running around trying to help. There also was 5 people just standing around chatting, but the music was just a tad too loud to hear anyone trying to get their attention. I'm sure dining in would be a chill vibe, but can still have that and have it all together yk? Last thing is I definitely asked for bacon mustard sauce and heard them confirm over the phone, a bit annoyed they forgot that!

This restaurant looks great. There is a nice counter area to order, a really nice seating area inside and even outdoor seating. Some of the decor makes you feel like you're in a household's kitchen. By the cashier there is a table you can wait at complete with local newspapers. It's very charming. This was my first visit and I ordered my food to go. I had two key dishes. The first was hummus with falafel, which is very standard for me whenever I go to any Mediterranean place. When I opened the take out box at home I was really surprised. Most places give you a good amount of hummus, but here it was basically a thin layer. Kind of like a layer of mayo on a sandwich (maybe a tad thicker). Then on top of the hummus was a huge layer of pickled vegetables and tiny pickles. This was a surprise. I've had hummus orders from a lot of restaurants before and I've *never* seen this on an order before. Then the falafel balls were on top and well...they were really dry and didn't have much flavor. Now, sometimes you can cover that up by just coating the falafel in hummus, but there wasn't enough hummus to do that. The dish was just disappointing all around. The other dish I tried were the Lemon Potatoes. They were good! The lemon flavor was strong and they were cooked well. Not the best example in the area, but they would do in a pinch. At some point I'll give this place another try. Maybe this was a fluke (at least I hope so).

We did three appetizers: hummus, falafel, and the halloumi. The hummus had a nice texture but it could have used a little more lemon and garlic. But it was served with a jumble of fresh herbs on top which was very nice. The falafel was amazing. The texture was perfect: very crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. Not like the dense falafel you get in some places. It was serviced on top of a delicious red pepper sauce. The server told me it was an old family recipe. The halloumi was fantastic. Very generous and covered in a very crispy coating. It sat in a pool of hot honey. They brought the appetizers out one at a time, which was the perfect way to pace it. We were pretty full by the end so we shared one entrée. We had the lamb kofta. It was cooked perfectly and sat atop a pomegranate labneh. It was also delicious. For dessert my husband had the chocolate cake which was only ok. I had the baklava malabi which was sooo delicious. Great meal and excellent service. Paul the bartender was friendly and made good drinks.

REYLA was an incredible first dinner in Asbury Park and set the bar high. From the moment we walked…read morein, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The service was excellent throughout the entire evening, and every cocktail we ordered was fantastic. We started with a few appetizers, which were the perfect way to kick off the meal before diving into our mains. For dinner, we ordered the Duck Rice, Schnitzel, octopus, and mushroom skewer. While everything was delicious, the Duck Rice and Schnitzel were the clear standouts. Both were packed with flavor, and the Schnitzel was an especially generous portion without feeling over the top. It was perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying. To top off the night, we headed downstairs to their cocktail bar, Laylow, and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was fun, the cocktails were just as impressive as dinner, and it was the perfect way to end the evening. If you're in Asbury Park, I definitely recommend checking out Reyla and making a stop at Laylow afterward. Great food, outstanding service, amazing drinks, and an all-around memorable experience.

Smash burger (top left), Caesar salad (center), Chicken Caesar Wrap (top right), Filet Tidbit Sandwich (bottom left), Mac and Cheese with smoke pork belly (center right) The igloo experience was great. We have snow that night which makes the experience even greater. You have to call to make reservation for the igloo in advance and pay $150 deposit. This will be applied to your meal, so technically you don't have to pay extra for the igloo like the ones in the city if you order enough. The service was good too. We don't have to leave the igloo at all to ask for service. However the food wasn't that great. The Caesar salad (including the wrap) was so salty! The beef on the sandwich was so dry. The burger and the mac and cheese were okay. So if next year the menu is the same, we probably won't return.

The brunch theme is Mardi Gras, and let me tell you, I felt like I was back in New Orleans! From flavor profile of all the food to the soft music in the background. My boyfriend and I were served fresh breads shortly after sitting down. They were so fresh and delish! For my wine I had the house rose, which was divine! My boyfriend had the sauvignon blanc, which he enjoyed as well! He did say he liked my rose a little bit better. For our appetizer we shared the Char Grilled Oysters. These were phenomenal! I'm still thinking about them now as I write this review! I wish there was more than 5. My boyfriend was nice and let me have the extra one! For our entrees, we each had a different Benedict. I had the Andouille one and my boyfriend went with the crab cake Benedict. Both were packed with flavor! The potatoes that came with them were also packed with flavors! We ordered additional drinks; ultimate Bloody Mary and Hurricane. Sip sip hooray! So good! For dessert I had the cheese cake parfait and my boyfriend had the cinnamon bread pudding. Desserts are made on sight at the bakery and both of these desserts were great! Even the whipped cream was fresh. Everything was amazing from start to finish! Our server, whose name I don't remember was such a sweet heart! We will absolutely return! 5+ stars all the way!
