unseasoned and bland I got combination 13 and tamales combination 13 was Chile relleno beef burrito and chalupa. The Chalupa was actually a soft corn taco on top of everything else so by the time I ate it, it was a soggy mess. I couldn't even pick up and eat. This is definitely not a Chalupa. The tamales were served with a red chili sauce and cheese melted on top which I've never seen nor do I desire... I will say the red chili sauce was probably the best thing about the meal. It had flavor and spice. They claim to be beef tamales, but there was hardly any beef in them. I'd say the only other saving grace of the meal was the authentic melting Chihuahua cheese inside the relleno. is and I'd skip it and try somewhere else. read more

I went here before my shift at the hospital and by the time I had a chance to check out my food the restaurant was closed. I ordered bean and beef nachos with queso on the side and when I looked there was as no beef at all. I even repeated myself 3 times & she said she understood but evidently she didn't. I didn't pay $14 to have my order screwed up. I'm throwing it in the trash. I don't eat my food if it's not done right. I'm pissed off and now I have nothing to eat til I get home at 9 am. DO NOT HESITATE to eat here. We are in our way back home to AZ, where we eat Mexican food weekly, and found this gem. The restrooms and restaurant are immaculate. I enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos with rice and beans. It was the best I have ever eaten. My husband devoured the chicken special. He said he has never had anything like it. Our son had the steak quesadilla. It was filled with a generous amount of tender and juicy steak that was seasoned perfectly. The service was exceptional. Our food came out quickly and piping hot. We finished with the fried ice cream...what a delicious treat that was served in a cinnamon tortilla shell. I will be dreaming about this food and can't wait to stop here every summer on our adventures back to Iowa. read more

Excellent service. She smiled at us as we came in even though they were closing soon. She made helpful suggestions. The food was great! We were full & needed boxes. The ceiling fans made me and my food cool, so bring a sweater and don't eat too slow. Also, we liked the salsa, very tasty, but it's on the spicy side, so fair warning. Delicious food! Chips and salsa are complimentary and each person has their own small bowl for salsa. I had the enchiladas mexicanas and they were scrumptious. If you order a beer it comes served with a frosty mug. Service is quick and friendly. read more

This is located in the heart of Kansas. We were traveling and came to Minneola and saw the 5-stars and thought we would give it a try for lunch. We had the lunch specials of which I had a cheese enchilada and a Chile relleno. Overall the food is lightly seasoned and lacks the zing one might be used to in Texas, New Mexico or California Mexican Food. The cheese used in my chili relleno and enchilada was fabulous. The salsa was mild and lacked a great taste of citrus or cilantro. The chips were fresh, crispy and salted. read more

We stopped by this small town during our road trip from KS to CA. We stay overnight at Super 54 motel nearby this restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and staff was very friendly. We stopped here on a long drive across Kansas. Don't let looks deceive you. This restaurant is solid! My husband and I both ordered enchiladas Guadalajara and were very happy with the freshness and quality of the food. The chicken was tender and tasty and the green chili sauce was perfect. We found the most delicious Mexican cuisine on our way home from Kansas to Oklahoma City. The staff was welcoming and the entire place was spotless. We have eaten a lot of Mexican food, authentic and tex-mex. This place ranks up there with the most appetizing and delicious Mexican food that we have ever had. In 9 years, we've never been able to find a restaurant that could replicate the amazing Huevos Rancheros we had on our honeymoon but they have nailed it! My husband had the Carne Asada Tacos, it was enough food for us to share but he wouldn't because it was so scrumptious. He packed up his leftovers is taking them home for later. The prices were very affordable and half of any Restaurant in the Edmond/Oklahoma City area. Our only regret is that we wish we lived closer or that they would relocate to Edmond, Oklahoma! If you get the chance, driving through or you're a local, stop in and grab lunch or dinner. You won't regret it! We will never just pass through Minneola, KS again! read more
