Terrible management. When they say there going to call you, they never do. I had an issue with parking and went to the manager in February. I was adding covered parking and the manager gave me my spot to park in. He never did his part and my vehicle was towed. After paying $356 to get my vehicle, I complained to the manager. I found out that my vehicle was never registered to park in the complex. At this point I had already lived here for a year and a half. No reimbursement for the towing. Not even, so sorry. Another issue was when they were painting the outside of the complex and the painters moved all my items on my balcony and stole 3 of my plants. So far, so good. Virtual showing and application process was smooth. Feliciana answered many of my questions and addressed my concerns prior to signing my lease. They were able to accommodate me being a disabled veteran. Ki was helpful in meeting me upon arrival at Parallax and providing me with my lease and giving me a brief tour of the grounds while answering all of my questions. Again, so far, so good. I moved into this property in September of 2020. No issues until this December. Then the complex shut off everyone's water for days without offering any alternatives or compensation. I have two small children, so being somewhere without water for longer than a few hours is just impossible. The office has handled the whole situation with avoidance. When I tried contacting the regional manager Richard Dominguez, he gaslit me and offered to let me break my lease as a solution. I highly suggest renting an apartment that is not affiliated with BH Management. read more

We didn't have electricity in our living room in our 1 bedroom apartment for the entire 12 months we were here. Maintenance came over 10 times to try to fix it but could not. On our last month maintenance finally told us that it's a wiring issue and that they will have to wait until we're out because they will need to tear up the wall. We have asked for discounts since this is a violation of our lease and they would not do it. They would not offer anything except that maintenance would keep coming. BEWARE of this place, we had to spend 12 months with no working electricity, fan, and outlets in our living room which is a major part of living in a 1 bed room apartment and quality of life. First, I must say the only positive this property has is it's location. In regards to the property, it has deteriorated significantly since 2020. The management is lacking basic professional skills and must wait on corporate to do basic maintenance, answer questions and paperwork. When trying to contact the office you will have to wait days in order to get answers or even someone on the phone, when in contact with to them they're unhelpful and will lose documents previously turned in. The maintenance team will do the bare minimum on calls and the issue that is requested to be fixed usually breaks again within the week. The property amenities are dirty and unusable. When confronted with the lack of professionalism and issues outlined by tenants management will hide behind covid because it's the easiest excuse available to them. I would strongly suggest looking at other properties before considering any of the units here at parallax. read more

The only positive I can note is that maintenance is fast and friendly. Always a pleasure dealing with them. I can't say enough awful this about this complex but my focus on this post is really the gross negligence and lack of accountability on managements part after February's winter storm. First of all they claim no fault. It is absolutely their fault. The cause of the flooding in my apartment was caused by a break in the outdoor laundry room pipes in the unit above me. Anyone who lives here knows the doors on our laundry rooms are CRAP and fly open without even a breeze in the air. As above mentioned my apartment flooded so horribly that the construction manager came in and marked every single wall for demolition, meaning my home is completely uninhabitable. The office agreed to allow me to break my lease, they called me to get my move out date and I returned the call the next day with my estimated move out date. Yesterday, March3, I walked into my unit to find every single wall gone and my belongs poorly covered in plastic. The entire place was gutted. The construction crew leader was incredibly apologetic as explained that the day before, March2, they were told to enter and gut the place with my things still inside. I called the office absolutely beside myself with what I walked into and they had the nerve to try to blame me and claim I never gave them a move out date so they just entered. This was an epic fuck up on their part and I am disgusted with how the entire situation has been handled. I will make sure that they answer for this. Unacceptable. read more

I've included a picture saying that you guys plan to process our request. So far our experience is that we hear from you 3-7 days after informing you of the same issues and they are yet to be fixed. So this is a new approach to hopefully get the problems in our apartment worked out. With the exception of the 5th picture, all of these have already been reported at least once to the front office. Pictures are in order 1. Dead house roach. We see at least one of these a day and they were here when we moved in. Typically you guys spray one time after we ask 2-3 times and they go away for a week and then come back. Yet to be eradicated 2 and 3. Dry wall behind our washer/dryer and in our guest room that is yet to be replaced. I'm aware the ice storm was an unprecedented event, but it's now been 4 weeks since this was done to our apartment 4. Mold on our washer side from the dampness and incomplete washer dryer room repairs. We received your email today that all washer dryers were reinstalled with the exception of ones with missing parts. Congratulations,  I hope this does not mean you will not be coming through to fix the structural damage. 5. I have been living here for about 2 months and had no complaints until recently. I have ants all.over. my carpet. Anything I leave on the floor is covered in ants. They started crawling on and biting me in bed. I have called the office multiple times and put in several maintenance requests and I've heard nothing back. We pay monthly for pest control, I should have AT LEAST gotten a phone call or an email letting me know how and when they were going to fix it. So far it's been 3 days and I've had no communication or resolution from management. Needless to say, I'm less than thrilled with my current living situation. read more

By far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Parking is a joke. You will almost never get a real person when you call. I've called corporate multiple times, they don't call you back. Have not had water running water to my building for over 7 days now. They turned the water on knowing they had not fixed a leak in my apartment and flooded it again and when I asked about who was going to replace my damaged furniture they told me to call my renters insurance even though they are the ones that Intentionally flooded it. During the big snow/freeze nobody bothered removing any of the ice or snow off the sidewalks making it safe to walk on nor did they even bother putting out any salt. After being without water for over a week they still have not provided anyone with drinking water but said we could use the pool water. I asked about getting out of my lease since they can't seem to remotely care about the residents or their well being and provide some drinking water and I was ignored. Overall I would rate living At Parallax a 3.5/5. I moved in right before the start of the new year and have been satisfied with my overall experience so far. Parallax has been under new management since August and I can say Clarissa at the front desk and maintenance have been really kind and helpful towards any problems/questions I have. These apartments are located in a pretty quiet area but not too far away from the city with still plenty to do around the area. So far I have enjoyed using the 24 hour gym and the business center and valet trash service. There is also a dog park and pool, that I have yet to use. The two bedroom apartment I am currently in is pretty roomy (and not too badly priced) with a modern-looking kitchen, Nest thermostat, and vinyl flooring. The cons to living here are that the walls/flooring are unfortunately thin, and noise from footsteps, music, etc. can be heard. The business center is also only open during the front office hours. read more

I am a realtor and have clients that were interested in living here. I went into the office to speak to a leasing agent and she said they would waive the administrative fee ($150) and application fee ($50) for my clients. She also insinuated the monthly rental was negotiable and her manager would be wiling to negotiate this amount. I went back a second time to speak to the manager who had a very insincere, cold stance and said that all of the above was not true and there is nothing they could negotiate. She could care less about what I was saying and didn't do anything to make things right since her employee lied to my face. No stars for this dump but I had to add one to post! They literally are the worst apartments I've ever lived in and so glad I'm moving this month. Could never get a hold of management,maintenance was literally the best thing at the apartments until the snow storm it's like they could never be found. I still have a maintenance request open from March :) The staff never answers the phone and they charge you rent and then charge mystery fees after you already pay. Just ghetto! Trash everywhere and the dumpster looks like a bunch of homeless people live there. It's not a nice place at all as when I first moved in it was pretty on top of things. During the snow storm we didn't have water for an additional two weeks on top of not having working washers and dryers which were still damaged and the dry wall is coming apart still because they NEVER truly did repairs. The pool is dirty looking and I doubt they ever clean it. I've been living in my new place a whole month early just because I was over being at that dump. Don't move here!!!!!!!! DONT MOVE HERE! This place is horrible! First a positive note, the maintenance people are AWESOME, I can't give them enough credit, you just mention a problem and they are on it and will do the best to get you taken care of. Now the negative, the management changes like crazy. You will never get a live person on the phone and waiting for a call back from the regional manager is like asking for a winning lottery ticket. I have been here for 6 months and the gym equipment is always broken and the gym area is very poorly maintained. They closed the pool multiple times this summer for no reason. Parking is a joke, if you get home after 6:30 be prepared to park in front of the office and walk to your apartment. They allow all sorts of work vehicles to be parked here taking up all the spaces refusing to start a permit system that would stop the problem. I literally watched people leaving on vacation with their friends park 5 extra cars here and leave for a week and the office didn't care. I still haven't been given a covered parking or a storage unit but I'm still getting charged for it. Now the big freeze, they shut the water off for a pipe break, week later still no water. They keep making excuses about parts or plumbers and stuff like that while not caring about their residents at all. The manager came and spoke with me and was really nice but end result was another day with out water and a apartment flooded for the second time in a week. Trash service is a joke, they don't come on Friday or Saturday and the area where you do take your trash is not user friendly and ends up looking like a dump at the edge of the property but I do have to say the people that do pick the trash up are super nice. All and all save your money and go somewhere else, the apartments themselves look great but between the managements follow through, parking, all complaints fall on deaf ears, etc there are better places to stay here in Georgetown. read more

Went 12 days without water and was told by the incompetent people manning the office that I should "just deal with it" and carry a bucket of water up three flights of stairs from the pool across the apartment complex to be able to use a toilet. Still waiting on an answer back from the office about when someone is going to come by here and clean up my trashed balcony full of my wall that was torn out and the plumber's personal trash they decided to leave behind for me and to fix the blinds they broke off of my door in the process. Maybe they'll rectify the situation when they finally come by to install my washer and dryer after being without one for over a month. read more

I've lived here since the complex opened and have enjoyed my time and have had a good experience with the management (that unfortunately has high turnover.) The units are nice on the inside for what you pay for, vinyl wood flooring, tile backsplash, etc. I should mention that this was the first place I lived away from home and for a college student, I found the units way nicer than anything I would be living in on campus for about the same price. I initially lived in a second floor unit, but we went ahead and moved to a first floor after the first year due to a hellish experience with a bitter downstairs neighbor that felt disturbed by the most normal domestic noises such as soft footsteps and the flushing of a toilet. It's not the complex's fault that this lady was a psychopath, but be warned that the units do have pretty thin walls--I can still hear my next-door neighbors if their voices are raised, but I'm not easily bothered by this. My only complaint about the complex as a whole would be the loose pet policy. This complex does not discriminate against large breeds, which is wonderful (I myself own a German Shepherd here), but unfortunately they also don't discriminate against untrained or unruly dogs on a case-to-case basis. The dog owners on either side of me and above me have all failed to train their pets, which results in a mixture of intense annoyance with barking and frightening encounters when I pass untrained and unsocialized large breeds that snarl aggressively. Again, the irresponsibility of the tennants does not really have anything to do with the complex itself, but I wish the managers here were a bit more strict about screening pets for behavior issues. It's this reason that we have decided to move to a new home this spring, but we have enjoyed our time here a lot. If you are not easily bothered by noise and are looking for a place to live alongside your furry friend, I highly recommend Parrallax. For the price, it's a nice setup, especially if you can get a first-floor unit with a yard as I did. read more

Do not live here. They do not address anything I ask or even respond at times. Manager even rolled her eyes and walked away and walked into my 5 year old and didn't say sorry. They have not been helpful and have been rude and mean and in my opinion- they have not addressed safety issues I brought to their attention. When I politely told assistant manager a wrongdoing that occurred she told me speaking up " would cause problems" and was very rude and even in my opinion, "vindictive" They are so shady and it's like high school here, they are mean to some and nice to those they choose or can't get away with. I came to use their phone to call bus office while waiting for bus at beginning of school year and they told me "no they don't feel comfortable and they're rather not" printer never seems to work and they don't respond to my emails regarding safety or pet safety. They don't seem to care if my pets safe. Made me take down lattice I had up for a while and not my 5 pound puppy can get out and washer dryer is outside. It's awful during winter. They have no limits to how they treat us they will completely disregard fair treatment and misuse their power. There's vandalism here as well. I didn't know that this kind of behavior still existed. We love living here so much I feel like I am on a perminent vacation with all the wonderful features , resort style living etc... We love the entire staff in all areas from the managers to guys on the maint crew, Kudos to all .. I cant say enough about them as people and amazing service... First off old Management never had an issue with. I was transferring apartments in complex and change of management was happening with NO notification. I was told I had a first floor with yard for same price paid on current Apartment. This was on 12/6/18, it is now 2/7/18 and have been told no deposits for transfer, price would be what I am paying now, and that date was 2/12/18 to move. All that has been back and forth with new management I had paperwork, emails, and so forth I gave to new Management and still nothing done. Only more deposits needed, told would get email, and no one responds. I explained this to 6 different people in management and all stood dumbfounded with no help. New management told me they had no record of this, went to office on daily basis and told we will email you when we get paperwork and nothing done. 5 days before moving with no lease, no help, and management with no idea of what they are doing, I stayed in same apartment to have a place to live. Now 4 days before move I finally have a lease signed, still trying to charge me late fee ( which was paid and funds not transferred from management), and nothing done for constant headache from property. Maintenance is amazing, they always take care of any work orders I have either that day or the very next, they're always professional and very nice. I have a car port and I parked to a known unused space next to me to move Christmas groceries and presents to my other car so I could go to family's. Went upstairs to grab more presents and groceries, and not even an hour goes by and my car is gone! I talk with management and they said "so sorry this is our policy" I even offered to pay for the spot if they could help me in some way. no dice. mean while I have to wait 2 weeks to get paid again so I can get my car out for 250 + 29 per day It sits in the toe companies lot. These people have no heart. Not to mention I constantly smell people smoking drugs all the time. Update to previous review : I have seen a decline in this complex over the last 6 months! Management staff has completely changed and not for the better. They don't follow up and on several occasions have been very condescending! The amount of dog feces and trash around the complex has increased significantly - noise levels increased - when brought to the new office staff answer is we are sorry and call the courtesy officer!! Last I knew they don't address trash and feces issues!! Things have been removed from my apt door (wreaths etc) and nothing done . Please save yourself the troubles of NOT MOVING HERE. The neighbors and community are awesome but the staff and management are trash. Got put into collections wrongfully due to staff losing paperwork and lying. The staff withheld packages from me that I ordered and thought they were stolen. They will put notes on your door for everything they can. The washer and dryer is outside and they will write you a note for having a basket out while doing laundry. If you don't want laundry items outside don't put the appliances outside in the first place. The dog park is a safety hazard to the animals. Cigarettes and holes all over the place. Everything is cheaply made and will break very easily. If you live on the first floor your balcony will get destroyed with leaves and grass from the lawn maintenance people. The rooms and amenities are excellent for the price, in terms of both quality and square footage. I've been here for a couple weeks now, and very pleased. The staff have been courteous and helpful, as well. Particularly Traci, who was the very first person to greet me when I walked into the lease office on the first day, saw me through the whole process of applying, and continues to go out of her way to make sure everything is going well for me. The pool and Starbucks coffee machine are great social focal points in the community, too. read more

These apartments are made so CHEAP! I have a 3 bed/2 bath. i do love the floor plan of the apartment and the balcony size, but other than that the cheapness of these apartments outweighs the few perks about this place. I can hear my neighbors below us and beside us all the time! literally i can hear their whole conversations as if they were in my actual apartment! Also every time we have to call them for maintenance we are accused for being at fault all the time! These apartment prices run lower than most out there but for what you are getting you are better off going somewhere else. read more

I loooooooove it here!! I visit my mother almost daily and she has lived here for over 10 months. I was sitting at the pool yesterday when the manager came out and offered us all at the pool Popsicles.... It's the little things!! The entire staff is always really kind to me and my mom too. My moms move in was a little bumpy, but I assume it is due to the new build?? No clue, but anytime she has needed anything they always are there.... Just a really nice place all around.
