DO NOT LIVE HERE! - If I could leave 0 stars I would. I lived here for over 2 years, and at first everything was great and then it all went downhill. My biggest concern was maintenance. I experienced recurring water leaks and mold concerns that were never resolved. After talking with neighbors, I confirmed that the same leaks I experienced were also occurring in at least four other apartments, making it clear this wasn't an isolated issue. If you value peace and quiet, I would strongly reconsider living here. The pool is consistently packed with large groups, blasting music, and linger late into the night and early in the morning -- not just on weekends, but also often on weekdays. Additionally, the walls are extremely thin so you can hear your neighbors talking, TV's, music, doors, and footsteps regularly. The entrance gate also seems to be broken more often than not and package theft was an ongoing issue. Communication from the office was poor throughout my lease, and I often struggled to get updates on maintenance concerns. I would also encourage people to reading reviews to notice that many of the recent positive reviews appear to come from people who only toured the property, not long-term residents actually living with these issues every day. Overall, I can't recommend living here. It's disappointing because this community has potential and it genuinely used to be a great place to live, but it has gone downhill significantly. read more

Honestly a nice apartment overall, but the fact that they have no security cameras and car break ins are frequent is what is driving me to leave here. I had my catalytic converters stolen out of the "gated" complex around 2 months ago and just recently got my window busted in and had items stolen out of my vehicle and the police report is no help because they have no cameras read more

Mold in the walls and visible on the outside of the walls in unit. I toured the complex because I am going to be having a baby in a few months don't recommend living here no telling if there is mold deep in the walls if I was just able to see from the outside of the walls. read more

I lived in the apartment complex years ago and my experience was great which is why I came back but it is entirely different now. I haven't even been here for a year and the amount of issues that I've had are ridiculous. First day moving in the apartment was not cleaned before hand. Dirt everywhere and trash from who ever they had in it before. When I advised the office they swore they walked it before hand so they have no idea how it happened. I should have took that as a sign it was going to be a mess here. My apartment has been flooded twice, not by rain but by residents above damaging water lines. Damages were barely taken care of. Carpet was soaked down to the concrete but they chose to only cut out a small piece and replace it with another damaged piece of carpet. Molding on the base boards is coming all the way off but they just added some glue in hopes that it holds until they find a better solution. Outlets don't work in one of the rooms because of water damage to the walls during the two tropical storms in my room. The noise is unbearable. Management will not do anything about it. They require proof of noise..... You can send in videos, write complaints and even contact authorities. They will "investigate" and send an email saying they cannot do anything about it. Although it violates the lease agreement. Half of the vehicles do not have parking passes and they do not get towed. That's great, we have plenty of parking but if someone parks in the "visitor parking" located outside the gates then they send out an email stating people can't park in those spots and threaten to tow peoples vehicles. They are literally following the rules the property put in place. ‍ Makes no sense. They do offer online payments for rent but if you set up auto pay through their portal and it randomly stops working without notification you have to pay a $165 fee. Even if you have clearly always had auto pay set up on your account but nonetheless -- website errors are not their fault so the resident is liable. The resident portal also offers maintenance requests! Such a great feature but they only have one person to check the orders so they fall behind. I was told to reach out to the office because they don't always check it, which defeats the purpose of the portal. Or so management says, you can't ever get a clear answer, it's just the blame game. They changed management multiple times in the last few years but kept some employees. Disgruntled is an understatement. Two leasing agents in the front office, one closest to the window is sweet and helpful. The other one is a bit much. Rude, rolls her eyes, not dressed in business casual and her answer to everything is "I'll let a manager know, they will have to get back to you." The new manager is nice but she isn't ever in. You have to try and get a hold of her via phone which is not possible. The assistant manager acts super nice face to face. Pretends she is going to help you but then sends you an email days later saying that she can't fix the problems. So you are stuck with dealing with all of the above. If you're looking for a place to live, this place isn't a good fit anymore. With the staff they have now or at least the office workers, this place will just be ran to the ground until someone else takes over the property or they get new people in the office who are willing to help. It's really sad, the place is really nice and I enjoyed my previous time here which is why I thought it would be a great fit. Sadly I was mistaken. read more

I live here now and currently like it for the upgrades, the only thing you have to be on the lookout for is charges on your account. They will add charges but not actually service those charges. I got charged for 8-9 months of a parcel locker and never had access to that locker, after months of going back and forth they stopped being responsive. Our hot water used to be boiling but now it's been out for some weeks and we're unable to shower in the evenings, sometimes by 5pm all the hot water is completely gone from building 10 and we have to shower elsewhere. They haven't been responsive and they've changed management multiple times in the last month or so. Parking lot does flood slightly when it rains. read more

I live here now. I don't like it, I wish my lease was already up. I'm in building 14, trashy outdoors. Tenants are loud. I've complained about the tenants above me to the management and nothing has changed. I'm so ready to move. This place looks great from a far then when you sign the lease and move in it's a mess. Don't move here. I've report my cabinet in kitchen to be fixed, the same day the report to be fixed. Once I've open the cabinet once I got home it broke immediately from opening the cabinet. This unit suppose to be new improved unit before I moved in. So much more... I'm ready to be out of this place ASAP. read more

I live here now. I hate it. You can get such a better quality apartment than this place. Had water leak through my third floor apartment light fixtures today. Tried to call the front leasing office no one answers. Walked up to the leasing office and no one was inside. No one came back for over an hour. Always being charged for things they can't explain. I called to ask a question about rent payment and no one answered me for 4 days in a row, called at all at different times of the day. And they always say they will send me an email with info and the info never is emailed to me. They don't care about yelp ratings but hopefully I can steer others the opposite way when looking into these apartments. read more

Dirty halls, noisy apartments, feral cats, racoons in parking lots. Security problems with cars and some apartments. The complex doesnt have security cameras. The only internet and tv provider authorized by owner is Suddenlink, one of the worst providers. Before signing, please ask for possible charges when you move out, they will charge you a huuuuge amount for regular and rutinary maintenance. If you decide to move there, take pics of the carpet, countertops, walls, the owner will say you have to pay for all damages done before you live there. Take care!! read more

By writing this I hope to detour anyone from making the mistake of choosing paramount at kingwood as a home. This place is falling apart. Massive potholes in the parking lot. When it rains the garages get water in them when people drive by, the parking lot floods and stays flooded for a couple of days. My apartment has had the same leaking issue for over two years (talked to previous resident of this unit and other units). I'm going to have it tested for mold. The problems never get fixed, likely because they would have to cut everything in the walls or possibly just spend a little money to upgrade the air conditioning. When I called just recently to tell them water is coming into my apartment, it took a l most two hours to get help and that's with water coming in! But, under new management, it's still the same thing. They don't value residents who take care of their things or this property. They paint right over damaged ceilings and walls and call it it their "posh" apartments. Since moving in five months ago, there have been several trucks lose their wheels and tires. Management won't put up cameras. It's a gated community. If you live on the end closest to the highway, the street noise is deafening at all hours....they said it would quieten when we moved our things in. Not. Don't be fooled. This should only be a last resort and only for people with low expectations. read more

I just moved here in July. I'm loving it. My boyfriend and I have a two bedroom apartment and it's so pretty and spacious. We are right next to the highway and that's the only downfall. But I love the wine downs and the staff. They're all friendly and help me with anything I need. Pool is remodeled and the gym could use some dumbbells or some leg weights but it is really nice and I love working out there. read more

I just recently moved into the paramount! And I love all the changes they are making! I noticed the colors were a little outdated when I first went to the property, But the leasing agent told me about the changes they were making and I am absolutely loving the new colors of the property. I got an updated unit with a free month special. The all of the office staff was really nice and helpful. We hit a snag on the move in day because of late appliances but They were extremely helpful and I was still able to get exactly what I wanted. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

MANY REASONS NOT TO RENT HERE. Reviews are important and people deserve to know. Filter through the fake reviews to see the truth behind these apartments. I've had issues with the power going out while cooking, the dryer failing, the plumbing, the heater/ac, the normal maintenance request, and much more. The list goes on... For any of my Military Brothers and Sisters looking for a place, I would NOT recommend this place at all. These complaints have taken weeks if not months to fix. I am not pleased at all with the lease here. They decided to paint the outside to apparently look nicer, but failed to fix all of the internal problems. Good luck getting help from the rude & unhelpful Assistant Manager Elia Gonzalez and the rest of the inadequate staff. It takes a lot for me to give a negative review. This is regarding management and parking and the cost of rent for sub-par leasing. First off the management and staff could use customer satisfaction training. Specifically how to not be condescending to their tenants or get rude when challenged. Not to say accept abusive behavior, but to genuinely hear a person out before responding just to push your "title". The parking is HORRIBLE and you're responsible for towing whether you're at fault or not. Oh and don't have an unavoidable circumstance hit you financially because they really don't care much more than to stick late fees to you. Property manager is NEVER available so the office is run by incompetent people who push responsibility off of each other then patronize you with lies. Did I mention they hardly ever answer the phone?! Great service professionals! Keep up the good work guys! This is by far the worst experience I've had. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The apartments are a mess. We waited weeks for a response on service that was needed on our dryer and garbage disposal.The parking situation is even worse! Oh and don't forget the raccoons!!! The worst experience in an Apartment complex I ever had in my life!!! Staff is super unprofessional. They will argue with you in an inappropriate manner and lack of respect. The assistant manager is the most disrespectful of all of them and when you complain and want to talk to the actual manager she will say she is not available even though SHE IS AVAILABLE and willing to talk to anybody. They do not care about the residents living in the complex neither the upcoming ones. My roommate paid for an application there and I took over six months for them to give the money back to him after they rejected him. If you move out they will charge you over a $1000 for brand new painting and carpet. The worst part of it is that when you move in and they give you the apartment the apartment is dirty and in bad conditions (NO new painting, NO new carpet) I cleaned my carpet 5 times and they still charged me for a whole new carpet. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! They will charge you over a $1,000 when you move out for NO REASON read more

I have been a resident at The Paramount for approximately five years. I wll post pros and cons and maybe it will be helpful for the potential consumer. Pros: 1. Easy highway access onto Hwy 59 going both south and north. 2. Nice swimming pool that is cleaned weekly and allows plastic alcoholic beverages and smoking. 3. It is located close to a cmmunity college that has a beautiful campus. 4. The foundational structure is a bargain for the price in terms of out keep of pests ad non-adequate temperature. 5. The maintanence staff is extremely friendly and helpful. 6. Ownership seems to care, they have treated me well as a resident. 7. The head manager, to the right after entering the leasing office, is a sweetheart who really cares about her tenants. She is the only reason why I am not completely going totally "con" on this list. 8. I believe the corporation is possibly linked or run by a man or family from Hong Kong, I say this because the leasing office has some really interesting artifacts and can be a nice place to unwind for a minute of two. Cons: 1. Rarely do they keep accurate records of what prior conversations have been about. 2. Poor negotiating skills and salesmanship 3. The current leasing agents can posses combative atitutes if called out on their mistakes. 4. Lots of assumption from a consumers standpoint when it comes to all employees in the leasing office. 5. Not a place for a person who is looking for long term residency, you'll end up paying an arm and a leg or become ill trying to reason with them per annual increase. 6. Lots of dog feces everywhere, no dog on a lease enforcment either. 7. They can be downright unfriendly when you are trying to fight for your rights as a consumer, it's their idea of "sellers market". 8. Lots of break-ins, they do offer closets that can be used as make shift safes however. 9. They are not very welcoming to those struggling with any type of problem and again, very aggresive as a stance when stating the obvious as a consumer. 10. The cable company they have issued in the past would be the only provider, comcast, does a poor job of installation and cable is often stolen. I've been staring at a wide open cable box for atleast a year and a half and am sure someone is stealing my cable or internet. 11. Three out of the four leasing department employees give off an aura of entitlement, even to the needy or helpless. 12. I would say they try hard to meet the customers needs but it hasn't been the case completely with me. 13. A really aggresive almost bullish postal worker delivers to their complex who postured up to me once when I was just trying to get my mail. 14. They will drive you insane if you let them. Don't count on doing anything effective in their business center, lack of maintanance and indifferene when told really can hurt daily progress if even needing to use the computer as an emergency. read more

Horrible place, the two reviews that are "hidden" here on yelp are completely accurate and should be factored in. The staff is rude and seem as if they are doing you a favor by allowing you to rent there. They were nice before the lease was signed but after that, they "own" you and can try to charge you outrageous fee's. They should get over themselves and stop lying to people. Their corporate management should take a close look at what their subordinate staff is doing. If you are looking for nice place to live, this is not it. The grounds were dirty and while I lived there, on several occasions, the water was not working (due to poor maintenance and a large leak causing the entire apartment complex to not have running water) and the staff really didn't seem to care and offered no compensation or consolation (matter of fact, my water bill, which they produce, was higher during the month of the water outages). They also charged me extra for a "pool view" when all I saw was the tree outside the balcony. The weekend junior college-kid- pool-parties were also annoying. I could not open my windows because of the noise and the office staff didn't care. Stay away! read more
