This location is now run by MDNow. I had to bring in my 17 month old son for a pretty gnarly cough. The wait itself wasn't awful and I was able to complete all my check in paperwork online. It was very clear that this location does not see many younger patients. From trying to get his weight to trying to examine him. The NP kept asking me if he was complaining of a sore throat or body aches. I had to keep telling him he was 17 months and can't verbalize those things. The care was fine but would only come back in an absolute pinch. read more

this urgent care which is now called MD now urgent care sucks. I took my child there and she was prescribed a medication before leaving I told them what pharmacy to call it to they ended up just sending it to a CVS not Publix like told and when I called to let them know they called it in to the Publix which now couldn't fill it because it was filled by the CV. long story short it's been 2 hrs here at the pharmacy trying to correct there mistake and to top it off the doctor calls the CVS and leaves a message withour specifying the medicatio, what doctor calls in a script and not leave what medication it is. Came here around 6:45 pm just now since their Yelp listing says they close at 7 pm on Saturdays, but it turns out they close at 4 pm. I'm from out of town and was urgently looking for medical care and came here because of the good reviews. What kind of healthcare business does not update their hours so that patients urgently needing care don't waste their time coming here when they could go someplace else that actually embodies the value of honesty and integrity? Note: While the posted hours are 8am - 8 pm, I learned since my previous visit that it's actually 8am until they're busy enough that the patients who have checked in will take until 8pm. If you're not there by 5pm, there's no guarantee you'll get in. It's frustrating but understandable; I just wish they'd put up a sign in that situation. Brought my son over due to some stomach issues. The wait was not bad at all. Only the patient is allowed inside. Once you arrive , you can go full out the forms in the car and they will text you once they are ready to see you. Everyone is required to wear masks. So far so good. Since I was not able to go inside I will wait for my son to tell me how the service and attention was . Being 4th of july they close at 5 today. Don't be discouraged of the location, it's located in a shopping center and the facility looks to be small but hopefully service was good, at the end of the day that all that matters. read more

I feel extremely qualified to write this review as my family has been here THREE times in the past week. We are in Orlando on vacation, and I'm guessing so were all the other folks at this urgent care. Let me explain my rating ~ Our first trip here earlier this week was a 5. We were seen in 15 minutes, and the staff was extremely friendly. Another HUGE plus for me was that the doctor had the RX for my daughter's sinus infection there on site! I could buy it there or go to CVS they said. Obviously, I took the RX from them and then went back to our hotel. Trip #2 - Child #2 has pink eye and there's a longer wait. The waiting room had a mixture of vacationers with various ailments, but it wasn't too bad. Again, the staff was friendly. This time the RX was a CVS run and not something they carried. The facility is average for an urgent care in set up and cleanliness. I'd give this visit a 3 or 3.5. It was simply average. Trip #3 ~ The pinkeye in child #2 is now so bad her one eye is completely shut (and weeps) and the other eye looks bad. The eye drops we were prescribed clearly weren't working and we need something else. This visit was a 1. We sat in the jam packed waiting room for two hours. It was standing room only at some times, and just filled with contagion. One child threw up in front of us, coughing/sneezing kids and parents were all over. I truly felt like I was going to be sick sitting there waiting. :/ However, the staff was still helpful and friendly. In a nutshell~ Staff ~ 5 Location ~ Right near all the hotels on International Drive. Pretty much this urgent care is serving all the families here on vacation who are desperate to get their "money's worth" while visiting. Some of the customers aren't that nice due to the fact "They're on vacation," and here at urgent care. :/ Wait times ~ VARIED. I suggest you call ahead to see how busy they are. Customers/other sick people ~ VARIED. I felt bad for some of the staff due to how rude some people were. However, some folks were helpful and trying to make the best of it. I'd return if there's a short wait, but I'd drive to another urgent care away from the resort areas if there's more than an hour wait. read more

I recently had a great experience at this urgent care. We checked a couple of other facilities, the Care Spot near Near Palm Parkway(2.3 rating) as well as the Buena Vista urgent care which had a 1 1/2 hour wait. Decided to give Paramount Urgent Care a try. I have always gone to my primary care physician, so have no experiences with the walk-in clinics. It was very easy to get to on Turkey Lake Rd. just past the Walmart and there was no waiting. The waiting area and back of house were extremely clean. The doctor, Chelsea Connery was very astute, kind, and resolved my minor issue. We were in and out in less than an hour. I am recommending this facility for family and friends.. read more

My son who is in Florida for the summer came in to this urgent care to find out if he had broke his ankle. He was hurting, scared, and nervous as he has never had to deal with medical issues on his own. He is a college kid. Anyhow, the incompetent people at this clinic told him because he has a HMO he needed to have a referral to be seen at urgent care or pay up front. This is NOT correct and because of this lady my hurt son had to freak out and then drive to another facility where they actually know that a person does not need a referral for urgent care just for a specialist. Stat away from this facility, pretty sure they just wanted to charge him up front and was trying to take advantage of an inexperience scared young man. read more

Never go to Paramount Urgent Care. On Feb 15, 2022 Michael Humphrey (the owner) of Paramount Urgent Care kicked me out without providing me care for 7 broken ribs and 1 broken collarbone that I suffered in a motorcycle accident. He did this because no auto insurance was involved. My health insurance had told me to go to Paramount Urgent Care as they were a provider for my AvMed Heath Insurance. Still they refused me treatment, alleging they wouldn't be paid. After waiting and being charged a copayment and later being told they wouldn't treat me I demanded treatment. At that point Michael Humphrey told me to leave. At that point I was forced to stand outside with 8 broken bones. Standing there I could feel my bones move as I shifted my weight because of the pain. I have consulted a law firm to pursue Paramount Urgent Care (on Turkey Lake Drive in Orlando). Never ever go to this center. They have no concern for your health or you pain and suffering. If I could level them a zero I would. Shame on you Michael Humphrey and same on you urgent care center. We are filing a complaint with The DBPR, The Department of Health and with the Better Business Bureau. read more

While vacationing in Orlando, I needed medical attention for a stiff and sore neck. I googled "urgent care" and Paramount populated. I then called my health insurance provider to ask for their recommendation. UHC also suggested Paramount so I called them to inquire on wait times and to confirm their address. Young's lady who answered the call was very polite and had a clear speaking voice. She confirmed the physical address and informed me that the current wait time was 10-15 mins. I arrived at Paramount approximately 45 minutes later. The young lady at the front desk was warm, smiling and welcoming. I signed in, completed minimal paperwork (2 pages of health forms), and waited to be called to see the medical provider. The waiting room was clean and orderly. There was only one other person waiting. After about 15 minutes, I was called to the back to see the provider. The MA (medical assist) took my vitals and we had a few minutes of small talk. She was quite pleasant, professional, efficient and kind. The medical provider (PA-C) entered the room and asked the appropriate questions during his medical assessment. He was friendly, smiling, patient and very accommodating. I did not feel rushed or "picked over". His diagnosis was practical and quick. He prescribed two medications and asked if I wanted them sent electronically to the pharmacy of my choosing, or if I wished to have a paper prescription instead. I found that to be a very thoughtful inquiry. I asked him to send them to the WalMart is n the adjacent shopping plaza. I then thanked him and left the exam room. On my way out of the front entrance, I also thanked the receptionist. My total time at Paramedics was approximately 30 minutes. I then walked across the parking lot to the Walmart; my script had just arrived, so there was some wait time. A LOT, but that is the burden of Walmart, not Paramount. In conclusion, I would recommend Paramount Urgent Care (Turkey Lake Rd., Orlando, FL) to anyone in need of urgent medical attention. read more

I visited an MDnow clinic on Sunday July 9, 2023 at around 9:30 AM. I went to the clinic on Turkey Lake Rd. Orlando, FL. The purpose for my visit was that I needed to get the MMR vaccine, which I was referred to this location by my insurance that double checked and made sure it was available there. When I arrived I was first told that they did not provide MMR vaccine at that facility. I let the receptionist know my insurance called before hand and verified it was aválala le there. At this moment is when my experience took a turn for the worse. The only Nurse working at the time was Marileli. Her exact words was that they had the MMR vaccine but not the booster. I stepped out for a moment to call my school to verify that the booster was just getting a second dose of the vaccine. I returned back to the nurse and let her know that getting the vaccine was what I needed. She asked me "who did I verify this information with?" And which I replied my School. After that she said no they don't have that available. I let her know she just had stated earlier she had the vaccine and that's what I need as I am starting a healthcare program that requires me to be vaccinated. At that point, Marieli called her manager, Lynette, and spoke to her in private over the phone. Once she finished talking on the phone, she came back to me and stated, " I do not feel comfortable giving you the shot and my manager says I do not hav to if I don't feel comfortable." I asked her to please explain what made her uncomfortable but she just kept repeating that she does not feel comfortable giving me the vaccine and that I need to look elsewhere to get the Vaccine. At that point the lack of professionalism and integrity was obvious so I left. Not even thirty minutes later, I received my vaccine at another clinic with no issues whatsoever. I need an explanation of why I was not given the vaccine, because as of now I'm only left to assume why I was not helped that day and As of now I feel there was some discrimination involved. read more

Extremely rude nursing/ receptionist staff. I came in 15 minutes before closing, pretty late since they close at 7, because this was my only time/ chance that I could go right after work this week. I was going in for a extremely painful sore throat, was even considering going to the hospital before going here. I arrived 6:45 outside the door, receptionist didn't open until 6:50, I could barely talk as I asked to be checked for a doctor, she replied with a bad look on her face- "what!?", I try to exalt my voice higher the second time I asked for a doctor, and with the same angry frown she gave me paperwork to sign, but not before checking her watch to see that I have arrived shortly before closing. I came back within a minute, had to wait until 6:55 for another receptionist to take my paperwork at the door, she states "REALLY?!" after checking the time and seeing I needed to see the doctor. Then she tells the patients waiting out side to wait in the car, I was slow to react because I was feeling so lethargic, but then she looks directly at me and in a rude manner calls me out in front of everyone saying "Yes, that means you too". I went quietly to my car, got called back, another nurse took me in, but the original rude receptionist was giving me bad looks as I walked down the hall to my waiting room. It made me feel more down in the dumps than what I was already feeling. Super rude! Anyway, doctors and nurse staff are very nice once inside, but the receptionists (all of them) at the front need to have a little bit more understanding with their obviously sick patients. It was very apparent that they were upset with me because of the time and they showed no professionalism in not trying to conceal their irritation that they had an extra patient for only an extra 10 minutes after closing their office. To make matters worse, the same rude receptionist was the one to take me out of my waiting room after I have seen the doctor, and she literally kicks me out by saying "ok, cmon, let's go". Extremely impolite treatment. If any doctors from this urgent care are reading the reviews, please have a serious word with your closing staff about treatment of last patients. read more

So me and my kids went for a consultation and walked out with no injections for a viral Hussein PA claimed we have a virus so traveling back home and my children and self are sicker with body chills fever cough with phlegm feeling miserable oh but wait did give us a prescription instead because according to his documents you can build a tolerance toward the antibiotic and could not have an effect on helping your body fight infection Mind you know yourself and your body We are completely miserable right now and mind you it's a 24 hr trip with no stops back home Don't waste your time or money really gonna place a complaint on this facility Orlando needs more clinics open to assist patients than prolong their suffering. read more

I went to Paramount with flu systems while on a family vacation. I'm from Boston, my bar for healthcare is very high. You guys exceeded it .. first time outside of Boston I have said that. Here's why: - that you lab tested for flu at all, but moreso did it in minutes!! - you asked me what treatment plans work for me and then trusted my answer. And then tailored based on lab results & expertise. Unheard of!! - you offered me onsite nebulizer and that was fast too! - everyone on the medical staff was competent and comfortable answering general health questions .. no need to 'wait for the doctor' for basics - you were soooo nice while you did all these things I'm really grateful for your service, thank you. You saved my vacation! Two recommendations for improvement: 1. Better stocking of the restroom in the waiting area .. it was clean, but nearly out of soap and out of paper towels. 2. Have a way to know which Walgreens have pharmacies .. my prescriptions were sent to one that didn't have one and was a bit of a logistical hoop Thanks guys! read more

I took my 13 yr. old son there today for lab work that his pediatrician asked for. My son was terrified to have his blood taken, but Yaritza and Maria were AMAZING with him! They comforted and reassured him throughout the whole procedure. I was so thankful that they were there to help him. He was so scared and now he has a "pleasant" experience to remember the next time he has to have bloodwork done. So frustrated! After waiting for hours, the doctor showed up and barely spent 4 minutes with me. The nurse also failed to extract my blood after puncturing me with the needle multiple times. Staff had no patience and refused to give me explanations about their proposed treatment. I was only allowed to answer YES or NO to continue with their plan or leave. I was ended up being kicked out by one of the staff members. I'm a college student from another country, I acknowledge that I don't really know how the medical system works here. But I know how to respect people and pay for what they deserve. I drove so far to try to get my problem fixed, but after waiting for so long, I got no help at all, but two failed blood extractions! And I had to pay the bill! This level of incompetence is unacceptable. On top of all this, they finally told me I was not in the right place. Worst customer service I've ever had with an urgent care. I went in for a cough and running nose. They gave me a script that I later lost a couple days later.( my fault ) I called and explained the situation and they would not give me another script unless I came in and paid another copay of 189$. They also did not do any testing besides look down my throat. All there equipment was not working including there X-ray machine. The doctors go above and beyond and the rest of the staff is incredible. They pay attention to you and care about you. They bring you a blanket when you're cold. They are hospitable and kind. They ask questions and when you leave they tell you they hope you feel better soon. The entire facility is VERY clean and I'm just amazed by my experience. If I could give this place no stars I would. DONT GO!. Female PAC, Shelly Davis was horrible with horrible bed side manner. Went in with a toe infection. She tells me she doesn't think it's infected. How could it not be infected when it's swollen, hot to the touch and oozing pus? Her diagnosis "It's an ingrown toenail." I'm then told she feels the nail needs to be cut off. She doesn't attempt to use any type of topical anesthesia before she begins to stick a needle in my toe. I scream in pain and she's not caring as she pushes the needle further in my toe. She pulls the needle out and tells me she's not done and that she is going to stick me again but I shouldn't feel it. She proceeds to stick me a second time which I can feel just as much as the first time. I scream out in pain again and she says "oh I guess you can feel it". I tell her to stop while crying and tell her I don't want her to do it. She says well I'll prescribe you an antibiotic and very flippantly says "when your in enough pain you'll let me do it" She throws a band aid on it and leaves out without even looking back. Horrible horrible horrible...throughout the whole time she was flippant, non caring, and truly acted as if I was bothering her. The waiting room was empty when I arrived, with this type of service I see why. I am vacationing in Florida and can't wait to get back to Maryland currently in pain and crying. update: later the same day I went to Centre Care. I saw DOCTOR Trinh who stated I had an infection around the skin of the nail and that I DID NOT have an ingrown toenail and he prescribed a topical antibiotic and an oral antibiotic. I've have worked at urgent cares & hospitals before and know the way a CUSTOMER should be treated. I walked in to register my son. The wait 35 mins according to the front receptionist. I explained to her we want to go grab a QUICK bite and try to make it in 20 mins. She then explained to me that if we were to be CALLED and we're not here that we'll be taking off the waiting list "to be called". I said that's fine and completely UNDERSTANDABLE so I left spoke to my wife and she then decided to walk in and stay in the clinic with our sick son. An hour goes by and my wife finds herself in a empty waiting area unsure why they haven't called our sons name. My wife then decides to ask and They then told her that "because your husband wanted to go out to eat and we never called your sons name. She then says weren't you supposed to call out my sons name but they didn't. Which THEY SPECIFICALLY SAID IF WE'RE NOT HERE WHEN THEY CALLL OUR NAME WE'LL BE TAKING OFF THE WAITING LIST. I guess they already took us off the waiting list without calling our sons name and BEST OF ALL. My wife then asked me if they were upset with me because as soon as she walked in she over heard the front desk personnel talking bad about one of the customers. My wife's states she heard the front desk people saying "if he's rude to us, WE'RE going to be rude to him" my wife wasn't sure who they were speaking of until she realized they never called our sons. It could be all a BIG MISUNDERSTANDING but then to top it off. They over and over was telling my wife "you can blame your husband you can blame your husband".
