I took my wife on two days of hiking, the first day I went with her on a shorter two hour hike with a normal/average difficulty and then the following day she went back again for a challenging/difficult hike. She said it was one of the most wonderful experiences she's ever had. And I can occur the first day was amazing! I think the attention to detail and information provided by our guide Kelsey was just incredible. From the moment I booked the two days of hiking for myself and my wife through the end of the hikes everything was smooth as could be. if you're able to book cloud climbers, you're going to have a good time…read more I've taken cloud climbers twice previously and had a blast each time. I recently booked for 3 couples, a party of 6 for next weekend Feb 16th for belated V-day celebration. But the other 2 couples couldn't make it so I called today to update the party size to 2 people. Because we were only 2 people, we were told that they couldn't guarantee us a spot since it's not profitable for them to host a tour with only 2 people. He said he'll put me on a list, so if other people book, the tour will continue, if not, tour will be cancelled. I was a little surprised because I had received an e-mail from them that says buy a valentine special for a party of 2 (picture attached). I think it would've been nice to put a note that tours do not run if there is fewer than 4, nice to have but I didn't rate them a 4 instead of 5 star for this since I get it, a business needs to run on a profit. I decided to cancel and explore other options. When I called another tour, they explained that it was their slow season, also mentioned that there's a minimum number of people for them to be profitable, but provided me other options like instead of semi-tour, maybe first book a private tour, which is more expensive, but they'll be happy to lower the price if other people sign up too, or if I'm flexible, there's other days if I wanted the semi-tour. This was where I saw the difference between a 4-star vs 5-star service. And so to my previous statement, if you're able to book cloud climbers, you're going to have a good time. But what sets a 4-star from 5-star was this recent booking experience. 4-star was them politely letting me know they can't service two people. 5-star is letting me know, explaining why, and seeing if there's other options that might work.

the secret solvang food, wine & culture tour was a great experience…read more Casey was our guide and he was super friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. he answered all of our questions and gave us a bunch of secrets about the Danish capital of America. the 6 stops were all delicious. there was some walking in the over 2 hour tour but not too much. we would definitely recommend the food, wine & culture tour and if you are lucky, you will get Casey as your guide.

The Wheeler Gorge Visitor center is located on Hwy 33 north of Ojai. Across from the campgrounds,…read morethe visitor center sells Adventure Passes and hosts educational programs every weekend during the summer. I find the staff at the center to be friendly and enthusiastic and best of all, knowledgeable. The center itself is small, but the highlights include some decent taxidermy of some of our local mammals and the bird feeders out front. The birds here are very used to the visitors and hummingbirds and jays come right to the feeders, even if you're standing close by. You can easily get a VERY up-close look at these amazing wild animals. Cons: The bird taxidermy isn't very good (or is terribly old) and doesn't give a good representation of what these majestic animals actually look like when you see them in the wild, unless you're seeing them dead on the side of the road; these could help you identify roadkill.

It's always a nice little break whenever we're down here. Slightly different from State Street in a…read moresense as you're away from the crowds but it's a different kind of crowd here. You have the waterfront and beach. Right when you drive in, there's parking on both side. The lot out front is a paid lot which I believe is 3.00 per hours. If you continue to drive through, there's a lot there that's free I believe. It's a hit or miss in that one as it tends to get utilized first. Along the waterfront are some restaurants which I highly do recommend Brophy's Bro and the Santa Barbara Fish Market. If you love seafood, this is your place. Pretty much everything is near each other so you don't have to walk far. Liquor store, realtor, public restrooms, shop, and a few other businesses. But if you continue walking on the path along the water, it leads you out to the walkway and jetty. It's a beautiful strip so it's definitely worth checking out. At the end of the path, you're literally right across the pier. A small beach depending on the time with the tide. Regardless if you're there for the beach, harbor, a meal or just taking it in. This place is quite nice. Nothing crazy but a nice views of boats and the waterfront. The path along the front will lead you to and from downtown. If you like a nice walk, that'll be pretty or a nice bike ride. Regardless where you're at, it's a nice place to just take it in.

Walk to the end of the wharf for the best views. 90 min parking for free. Otherwise, it's about $4 an hour.
