Meh, I thought this place was OK. It was my first time wine tasting in Santa Barbara and honestly think I should've just gone to a nice restaurant for a glass of wine. I had the Mixed Tasting Flight. The server was very skimpy with the pours. The flight has 5 different wines and all 5 pours barely made 1 glass of wine. My plus one got a different tasting flight of all reds and I felt like the server was over bringing two bottles to the table and just started pouring us the same ones. We also had to remind her about the 5th glass (she had thought she poured 5 but it was actually 4). I wasn't really impressed so I'd suggest going elsewhere.

What a lovely tasting room! My hair stylist said their Rose is the best she has ever had, so I had to stop here on our day trip to Santa Barbara. Their space is hidden in a gorgeous courtyard off State Street, kind of tricky to find. There are a few tables outside, but it was too hot to sit out there, so we took a seat on a leather couch in their classy, comfortable back room. I wish I remembered our servers name, he was wonderful. I loved that we were left alone in the room to enjoy our wine, then he would come back and pour the next tasting after we were finished. I ended up purchasing two bottles to take home, which waived the $20 tasting fee. Their 2020 Piocho Sauv Blanc and 2017 Piocho Red Blend were my favorites of the five we tasted. I did ask about the Rose since I didn't see it on the menu. He said it always sells out fast and they have been out of it for months. I joined their email list to get notified when it is released again in February, I will definitely be ordering that online with some more of that delicious Sauv! This place is a must visit if you like wine and are in the area, I really loved the time we spent here!

Happy Canon is such a happy place, it lives up to its name! I had great service from Teresa, she was fun, beautiful, and knowledgeable! She told me the tasting notes of every wine and explained the process to me. She also gave me great recommendations for other wines to try. Did I mention she was beautiful? I will definitely be back!!

Last few drops of "Ten-Goal." My favorite of their tasting flight.

The staff was very friendly. I'm no wine expert my any means, so I just nod along as the describe the notes and tones of the wine at-hand. I know what I like and what I don't like, and I purchase wine based on that. On this visit, I especially liked the "Ten-Goal", but at $85/bottle, it was little too steep in price. We ended up purchasing the Family Blanc and the Red Blend. Both are easy drinking!

Great atmosphere, great wine, great staff. Came on a Saturday afternoon, we were seated and served right away. Shoutout to Sam for being knowledgeable on the wine selection and super friendly. Will absolutely be back when I'm in Santa Barbara again!

Happy Canyon Vineyard has a fantastic Wine Flight and great wine tasting. Aaron always finds a way to make everyone's day brighter and happier. He is just a joy every time. I highly recommend them. Also, you will never go wrong with their wine flight.

Great ambiance. Solid wines and comfy seats! What more could you want at a wine tasting room? I highly recommend this spot to anyone doing wine tasting in downtown!

Stumbled upon this place while hitting up some wine tasting places in the area. Located Within a small Plaza, this is a cute quaint place. Has some seating by the bar and then more seating in a back room. The owner was a Polo player and everything is horse themed. They even had horse wine pourers! The tastings are $15 for 5. I really enjoy sweet wines and many of these were light and sweet. Really liked them. We also got their dark chocolate to go with the wines. It was delicious. Not bitter at all and very creamy. Allison was friendly and informative. She answered all of our questions and we had fun chatting with her. Also, the music was great!

    So good!!

Had a wonderful tasting today - all the wines were delicious and we walked out with 4 bottles, but Steve our pourer really made it.

This really is the perfect place for both wine AND food…read more So far we've been in a couple times sitting in the bar area and also out on their comfy patio space. Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the efforts of one server to keep things afloat outside…read more When we arrived, another large party had just left outside and she immediately cleaned one of their tables so we could sit. It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.

We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend
