I enjoyed Parc Safari immensely when I was a kid, came back again in my teens and now in my mid twenties, got to re-experience it with just as much delight. We came during labor day weekend and it wasn't actually packed. There is a calendar on the site that tells you when it's high or low season, pricing varies along with the opening hours. Just like going to any other big attraction, it is on the pricey side, however there are numerous discounts offered. CAA members benefit from 15% off, if you have Air Miles, it's 10% off and there is regularly a 10$ off coupon published in flyers or online, a quick googling will bring it up. There is also the option of purchasing your ticket online, in advance to get a special rate. Now the safari portion is what everyone comes here for and it was highly worth it. On an average day, it takes about 45 mins to 1 hour to complete the trail and we encountered plenty animals that were willing to approach us, they were docile, we were able to take tons of photos, pet and feed them easily. The parc sells little boxes of dry animal food, but I recommend bringing your own fruits and veggies. Only carrots, celeri and lettuce are permitted. We got big bags of carrots at Costco for 5$ and found that highly worth it. It's easier to wave carrots at the animals, they saw us from far and immediately came to our car instead of those with the dry food. It also keeps your hands cleaner, otherwise you will experience lots of slobber. Once you're done with the safari, there is a bit amount of walking to do to see the rest of the animals- I love that there were plenty of rest spots, shaded areas and picnic tables to encourage people to bring their own food. That's definitely something we should have done because the restaurant options on site are measly and overpriced. The little village "souk" area where the boutique and restaurants are, is in serious need of remodeling. Along with the rides, they haven't been updated since the park was open 40 years ago it seems. The food court is an exposed area so it's very hot and there were flies everywhere. I bought a tiny ham and cheese wrap which was over 7$ and a poutine, which only comes in one size, also 7$. The great thing though is that it's not just a zoo, there is a fairly big area dedicated to its water park- They are divided in different zones, you can go tubing in one, just lounge by the kiddy pool or run under the misters and spray jets in another. Memorable experiences for sure, I think everyone should visit once in their lifetime, if you can't make it to a real safari tour in Africa ;)

A great family activity for a hot day. We had a corporate family day at my work so they treated us to a visit plus we had a BBQ. Hemmingford by location is a good distance away for us who live on the the north shore of a Montreal however we had a blast! Price for the day is a bit steep (adults $38.95 +tax kids $25.95+tax) but these attractions (Parc Safari, Grandby Zoo, water parks etc) must verify their pricing off one another as it's amazingly similar. If you live on the south shore or near the US border I'd recommend grabbing a seasons pass ($60+tax adult or kid). The safari tour where the animals who come up to your vehicle is pretty cool. However I wonder if they get aggressive, how much damage they could do to your car. Some of these animals have humongous horns. The animals must be fed nonstop by patrons all day, then they go lie in the heat. We purchased two boxes of what looked like dry dog food and the animals we encountered ate it right from your hand. We saw some cars that brought a big bag of carrots (I'd strongly recommend). Also bring hand sanitizer and don't be afraid to have camel drool and elk snot on your car. It will happen. They did also have a small petting zoo area which was okay for the smaller kids. Full of bunny rabbits, pigs, chickens peacocks and other barnyard animals. I even had the chance to take my daughter for a pony ride which she loved. $4 for a very short ride. The other pretty cool area to visit was the lion enclosure and monkey area. They had lions, tigers and monkeys. The lions and tigers were basically sleeping when we were there (other than a quick up and down to get some water). The monkeys were hilarious and great entertainment. Definitely check this area out. The splash pad and water park is what we really enjoyed. It really was a huge water complex that is well worth it! A perfect energy drain for kids 5-12 years old who have never ending energy. Grab a seat on one of the hills that overlooks the whole place! They do have some lounger chairs but they do get taken fast. We were able to score two which was nice! There is a canteen which serves beer (even Sam Adams yes!), ice cream and coffee and other snacks where there are restrooms between the two water parks. Pricing is a bit high but this is expected. Overall it's a great family activity for the day. Whether you believe some of these animals should be in a zoo is your opinion. I'm mixed on it However it's a great experience for your kids to learn about animals.

You can have the opportunity to feed and ride horses and goats! They are incredibly friendly and will rub against you and follow your children; they're ridiculously hilarious and don't care about personal space. So affectionate! In the summer you can have the water park and other amenities, but the winter time we had so much fun! The mascots will have dance parties and greet you! They're so much fun! Also they speak French and English here! Also don't forget to stop by the gift shop OMG THEY HAVE EVERYTHING! The best gift shop ever and I bought my favorite lemur stuffed animal!! Their is a stroller rental if you forgot one near the entrance. There was no wait on our visit and moderate crowd as what othrrs say but for us it was alot.

You can grab a ride on their trolley or you can hike it up to the farm on your own. We hiked our way up to the farm to catch the milking demonstration, very educational for youngsters. Staff at the farm were easy to talk to and kind to answering questions about the process of taking care of the animals on the farm. It was later in the day so we were catching mostly all the last parts of their demonstrations. If you don't mind a bit of a hike and the smell of the farm it's for you. I think it's worth an experience for younger generations for sure. Speaking of that, they also had an area in the chicken coop with toys to play with and books to read for young children. Growing up on a chicken farm helped me learn a lot about work ethic and how much we need farmers in our country the further we get into the future and have many rights of self-sustaining capabilities taken away from us through the government and big business push. I hoping for nothing but the best for their future and farm.

With only about 50 people in line, I had the space to move freely, look up into the treetops, and peer down into rivers and tanks without feeling rushed. It felt immersive from the start. What makes this place special is how alive it feels. No cages, no bars, just ecosystems. Birds glide overhead, and wildlife lives within carefully designed natural habitats that feel both safe and intimate. Close enough to connect, far enough to respect the wild. Accessibility was thoughtful too, with both stairs and a smooth walkway option. Getting there early made all the difference. By my second loop, the school groups had arrived and the energy shifted from calm exploration to lively chaos. The Biodome itself is massive, divided into five distinct ecosystems. One moment you're wrapped in tropical warmth, the next you're stepping into a colder, northern world. It's like walking through climates instead of hallways. Location is another win. It's right outside Viau Station, making it incredibly easy to reach. Plus, it sits alongside the Montreal Olympic Tower and the Montreal Planetarium, turning the area into a full-day adventure playground. The staff were welcoming and bilingual in French and English, adding to an already smooth experience. #tysadventures26 #SpringBreak26 #Biodome

For a reasonable fee, you can have a guided tour of the rabbits, goats, alpacas, and a free running miniature cow and miniature horses! Yes you can feed them! Some tips: 1) you must chop the food into bite sizes for the alpacas! 2) No cucumbers 3) No loose plastic bags. So, it's best to bring your food ready to feed the animals in a bag. Make sure you watch small children as the goats can be energetic when eating. Yes, you're in the enclosure with them right in the middle of the action! They also offer volunteer opportunities to the public a few times a year. I didn't find it too muddy but wear outdoor shoes just in case. Bring some hand wipes as I'm not sure if there's a hand washing station.
