With only about 50 people in line, I had the space to move freely, look up into the treetops, and peer down into rivers and tanks without feeling rushed. It felt immersive from the start. What makes this place special is how alive it feels. No cages, no bars, just ecosystems. Birds glide overhead, and wildlife lives within carefully designed natural habitats that feel both safe and intimate. Close enough to connect, far enough to respect the wild. Accessibility was thoughtful too, with both stairs and a smooth walkway option. Getting there early made all the difference. By my second loop, the school groups had arrived and the energy shifted from calm exploration to lively chaos. The Biodome itself is massive, divided into five distinct ecosystems. One moment you're wrapped in tropical warmth, the next you're stepping into a colder, northern world. It's like walking through climates instead of hallways. Location is another win. It's right outside Viau Station, making it incredibly easy to reach. Plus, it sits alongside the Montreal Olympic Tower and the Montreal Planetarium, turning the area into a full-day adventure playground. Weird as this place has so many reviews on Google Maps…read more Interestingly I was on my way to a much larger, more generic farm which happens to be a bit further down the street.. we accidentally ended up here due to an Apple Maps fail and didn't realize until we left and drove past the "zoo" that we had originally planned on going to when we realized our serendipity! This apple orchard/farm is definitely under the radar (this is the 1st review on Yelp and it's been open for a while) We went apple picking here late in the season. We basically had the entire place to ourselves. It was relaxing and enjoyable ... "unfortunately" no kiddie rides or bells and whistles but sometimes it's nice to just enjoy nature. The apples are organic which is a nice plus! When I first tasted the different varietals of apples I was turned off as they were too tart. Weeks later, I finally remembered all the apples in my fridge and decided to try them again and WOW they were the best apples I've ever tasted! I guess they weren't fully ripe yet or they needed to "breathe" a little. No clue what happened but the apples were darn good, I didn't dare waste them on applesauce! Avoid the "zoo" across the street, go here and support the organic folks. They also had a few hidden speakers in the orchard, playing music to the apple trees so they will be happy.

The good: Active animals, walks around cars or lays in the road. Safari has a good traveled road snd moves easily (normally). Lots of picnic spots. Huge parking space. Lots of restaurants. The bad: Waiting before going in park is long (45 minutes at least). Safari shows age. Some of the signs were water damaged and it shows, they could have been replaced. Not enough staff for safari part. Some people just think about themselves and do not care about others (parked cars, blocked roads, etc.), so get ready for that. In restaurant area, some places are abandoned and very messy (we sat at an IA stand, and the place was filthy). Covid restrictions: Although they tell people to keep their windows closed and not to feed the animals not to make them sick, people did it anyway. In the restaurant area, there is no true social distancing. Pretty much respected in the tunnel area. Some places have gel disinfectant. The experience was nice snd you can take good pictures through a closed car window anyway. Sadly, people are still inconsiderate towards others, even in time of pandemic. I still suggest to do this once, but this is not a thing you should do every year.

In the summer, they give free hayrides during the Clinton County Fair. Mary the horse is very sweet and the cows and goats will also say hello! In the fall you can pick gorgeous sunflowers and take pictures in the fields. During Halloweekend you can go through the corn mazes and pick out your favorite pumpkin. This place is perfect for families too, the children can visit the petting zoo where the pigs, donkeys, goats roam free in the fences. You can actually walk into their gates and play with them. We loved meeting the baby goat, Loco and her mother Coco! The pigs love their belly rubs and will fall over when scratching them! It's very cute. Many of the things to do here are free so great value! They sell local apples, gifts and fun things in their gift shop too. Supporting the local farms in town is great for the community here. This is one of my favorite local farms to visit in town!

It was busy with people (I try to take pictures without people but trust me!) but there was a lot of room for parking and the huge indoor space never left me feeling claustrophobic. I'm usually not a fan of going to the south shore but I wanted my daughter to experience this so we made our way here. The place is huge! Firstly, you can come here for a variety of fresh produce, meats and dairy. Which is kind of neat. It's a farmer's market after all! Secondly, you can buy a variety of decorations for the home and yard as well. A must place to visit! The petting zoo was great! There's lots of space for the animals as well as for the humans that can touch and feed them. They have a nice variety of them, you can even pet and hold the bunnies. :) The butterfly den was totally zen and tranquil. Huge beautifies fly everywhere and rest everywhere, so you totally have to watch your step. I got to hold a few of them after I invited them on my fingers. It was an awesome experience. The price-tag for adults is quite expensive at about $14 for all facilities. Infants get to visit for free however. 1 huge star lost for leaving dangerous equipment lying around though. So parents beware. On two occasions while as I chased after the young-lings I found cutting knifes (exact-to) left unattended in the outside yard where kids tends to pass by on the way to the petting zoo. The blades weren't even retracted and those cut very well.
