The make a tasty cheesesteak, with lots of toppings to choose from like the standard onions and peppers to eggs and cherry peppers. The service is quick and easy, order at the window and wait about 10 minutes to get your food. They've been in Commack for a while and it's easy to understand why.

They also have 5 other locations across Suffolk County & 1 in Queens. The restaurant is small with just enough dine in seating for about 12 customers. Service was excellent from the start of ordering our meals to an employee bringing out the food to our table. We asked the cashier for recommendations to try, and we were not disappointed. We got 2 of their combos, which comes with your choice of any cheesesteak, fries (or other side), and a free drink. We opted for their best seller cheesesteaks- the Chiddy's Signature and Citi Fielder. The Citi Fielder was your traditional cheese steak with just meat, onions and whiz. The Chiddy's Signature included onions, peppers & mushrooms with a mix of provolone and whiz. Both cheesesteaks were cooked to perfection with amazing flavor enough to compete with any original cheesesteaks from Philadelphia. You can satisfy your cheesesteak cravings without making the long trip to Philly by going to a Chiddy's location in NY. We also got a large homemade chili and mozzarella sticks to snack on for later. The chili was flavorful & cooked to perfection with a little spicy kick to keep your taste buds guessing. A good chili usually has more meat than beans, which should always be the standard & that's what they got here. One downside is not having crackers to go with the chili, but the flavor makes up for that. The mozzarella sticks were crispy & cheesy, but there was no dipping sauce to go along with them. Either way, highly recommend.

I was looking for a Reuben sandwich today for lunch and while there is no shortage of delis around the area, Capriotti's popped up on my feed and got me curious. Their Capastrami sandwich in particular got my attention as it was basically what I was looking for at a reasonable price. Overall I was very pleased with the sandwich, the pastrami, Russian dressing, Swiss cheese and coleslaw on a hero is nothing all that new, but the flavors are better than others that I've tried before. Would recommend if you're in the area, the hot sandwiches they offer are in fact hot and not merely lukewarm so that was a nice bonus. The interior of the store was clean and staff was friendly when I came to pick up my order. From what I gather, their best known sandwich is the Bobbie, which is basically Thanksgiving dinner in sandwich form. I definitely plan on trying that the next time I'm around. (Photo taken after I ate half the sandwich and before I posted this review)

I asked one of the waitresses his name as I was leaving. He was so polite dealing with the customers around me as I was waiting. I was astonished how someone could be so pleasant, especially in the evening dealing with all those customers. He even asked if he could carry out my food, as busy as it was. I don't usually write reviews unless the person is exceptional and this gentleman showed every aspect what a great assistant manager should be like. We need more people like him in the service industry.

Next round we ordered a vodka soda with a little cranberry and a vodka lemonade, this time I made it a point to ask if those were included and he said yes. We also ordered a small pizza and a flatbread that had artichoke. Both were good, nothing special. Fun place to hang out for happy hour!

As of today the truck has been in business for 8 weeks. You walk up, order and wait for your food. Food takes about 20 minutes and everything is made to order. I wanted to try the pulled pork sliders but they were sold out so I had their cheesesteak instead and got some cheesy tator tots on the side. The tots were smothered in liquid cheese, in a creamy sauce with a hint of pepper that did not overwhelm the cheese taste. They were nice and crispy too. The cheesesteak was great. Sliced meat cooked to perfection with onions and cheese melted into the soft bun. It just needed some sliced roasted bell peppers on it but regardless, the sandwich was great. The bread was nice and fresh. I paid $16 for both items and split the sandwich with a coworker because it was huge. The tots I kept for myself and eat them until I had a stomachache. They have breakfast too but I'm always running late to work so I am unlikely to try that anytime soon. Typical egg sandwich's.
