We were in the area and decided to try this place out for lunch. This was their Commack location, located in the Birchwood Plaza right next door to Shah's Halal. They also have 5 other locations across Suffolk County & 1 in Queens. The restaurant is small with just enough dine in seating for about 12 customers. Service was excellent from the start of ordering our meals to an employee bringing out the food to our table. We asked the cashier for recommendations to try, and we were not disappointed. We got 2 of their combos, which comes with your choice of any cheesesteak, fries (or other side), and a free drink. We opted for their best seller cheesesteaks- the Chiddy's Signature and Citi Fielder. The Citi Fielder was your traditional cheese steak with just meat, onions and whiz. The Chiddy's Signature included onions, peppers & mushrooms with a mix of provolone and whiz. Both cheesesteaks were cooked to perfection with amazing flavor enough to compete with any original cheesesteaks from Philadelphia. You can satisfy your cheesesteak cravings without making the long trip to Philly by going to a Chiddy's location in NY. We also got a large homemade chili and mozzarella sticks to snack on for later. The chili was flavorful & cooked to perfection with a little spicy kick to keep your taste buds guessing. A good chili usually has more meat than beans, which should always be the standard & that's what they got here. As a frequent flyer of Chiddy's cheesesteaks in farmingdale, I obviously had to give the Commack location a try - and it did not disappoint. Are you not drooling by looking at the pictures of the food I included in this review? Because all I want is more Squealin' Fries (bacon and cheese fries). My go to order is always a custom cheesesteak because I'm a plain Jane with toppings - ribeye steak, with wiz and that's it. I think next time I will add the chipotle aioli sauce to my custom cheese steak though and a small squealin fries. With your meal you get a complimentary canned soda which I think is quite nice. Shout out to Evan for great customer service! I tried the apple pie empanada and it was delish! I'm usually not one to order a full meal and dessert when eating out unless it's a special occasion but it soooo good and I'm glad I took Evans suggestion to try it out. I was driving down jericho turnpike when my my stomach grumbled. I turned my head and there it was, a sign that read "Chiddy's". Something in my soul told me, "this is the place, the place that will end my hunger, and change my life for the better...." I stumbled in not knowing what was ahead.
