Ok, so this place is awesome. On Fridays at our office, we take turns getting fancy pastries from various places around Edmonton, and share them Friday. I ran across this relatively new place on Whyte avenue and picked up some of their donuts, and pastries. The blew everyone's minds on Friday. For a fancy birthday party I got a cake there, and not only are the cakes incredibly imaginative and delicious. the box was very solid and formidable, with little pieces inside to stop the cake from sliding around. I went here for national cake day, where if you have the app, you can get one slice of cake free if you purchase a slice of cake. Both my husband and I have the app so we sampled 4 slices of cake - Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice, Blueberry Chiffon Cake Slice, Mango Chiffon Cake Slice, and Crepe Cake Slice. Everything was delicous and it was hard to pick a favourite. I think my husbands was the blueberry because he loves blueberries, and mine was the mango because I love mangos. But really you can't go wrong. Service was good considering how busy it was for cake day. Ambience is bright clean and fun. Yummy Korean bakery with a awesome selection of mochi donuts. That's all I come here for. The mochi donuts are delicious. Expensive but delicious! I love the matcha flavour the most. But they have strawberry or cookies and creme too! A must. I find the cakes to be on the lighter side but not as tasty as other places. Overall they have some nice offers on their app to if you are into getting some nice deals or rewards for being a frequent customer. read more

I have driven by this place numerous times but never thought to go. Initially I just assumed it was a little market/bread place. I decided to actually look it up to see what they had and I was very shocked. I ended up taking myself there the next day and I'm glad I did. This is located on Whyte ave (apparently there's now a new location in WEM). Plenty of open paid street parking during the day, however, if you go a few blocks down in the residential area, you could probably find free 2 hr parking. It was a challenge finding free parking but I did manage to get a spot 1 block away. The space is very big and open. It was literally a pastry haven! I don't think I've seen so many different pastries in one area, it was almost overwhelming. All items except for the cakes and some things in their cool display were self serve. When you walk in you grab a tray, wax paper to cover the tray, and some tongs and you pick your items. Once finished you bring it to the front and pay. Everything looked extremely delicious and some of the pastries are massive. I ordered the garlic parm sausage pastry. It didn't look great in the display case but it actually tasted great. Upon request they warmed it up for me. The service was pretty good. I was greeted as I closed in on the counter and asked if I needed assistance. It was quick too (mind was here in the afternoon on a weekday). Prices for the pastries were around the $4-6 mark depending on what you ordered. I peeked at their other items. The sandwiches seemed pretty pricey coming in at roughly $15 and they didn't look that appetizing. There also seemed small for the price. Cake slices also came in at about $10 and they were a bit on the smaller side. I do look forward to trying the other amazing looking pastries. Their drinks also look good. read more

Paris Baguette is worth stopping by when on Whyte Ave. When entering the building, I noticed the bright atmosphere and colourful displays. The variety of items in the bakery is impressive, which made choosing a few items a challenge! I decided to try the lemon supreme croissant, jalapeño cheddar croissant, lemon custard king cream donut, and tiramisu mascarpone cheesecake. They were all fantastic! Each item was freshly baked, made with quality ingredients, and very tasty! The items were also quite large and worth the price. I will be returning soon to try more delicious items! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE! The bakery is attractive, clean, organized and easy to navigate. It looks like a great place to catch up with friends and family for a coffee date. When I came by in the evening the lights in the bakery made it seem inviting in contrast to the darkness outside. My favourite treats are the mochi doughnuts. The strawberry ones are so good! I love the slight chew, softness, and level of sweetness of these doughnuts. I've tried but failed a couple times in sharing these with my husband. I literally devour these doughnuts in seconds. They don't last long enough to share! The tiramisu dessert with marscapone is also delicious! The presentation, serving size, rich flavour and level of sweetness of the tiramisu are just perfect! So far I haven't had a dessert here that I didn't like. The desserts look as good as they taste! However, I do need to expand my experience by tasting some of the savoury options. The savoury treats look just as enticing and I'm sure they're very tasty. The pastries and other treats are mostly self serve. You grab a tray with a paper liner and place your baked goods on top. Then you go to the cashier to bag them up and pay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Next time I will need to come by first thing in the morning when they are fully stocked. I work close by so I'm hoping to become a regular customer. This place will definitely be a new favourite of mine! read more

LOVED their goods here!!! The quality of the pastries were 9/10! I really liked the mochi donut and the sticky milk buns. We ordered quite a bit of pastries and they were honestly all really good. They need some more longer sitting for a bigger crowd and the space is a little cramped but other than that, will definitely come back read more

Man did I went crazy in this place. I absolutely love this idea and the food and jusy everything about it was amazing! The food was sooo good and just a very great expirence. I was so excited to have Paris Baguette come to Edmonton. When I walked in I thought, wow this is a nice busy place. But after buzzing past all the seating and straight to the baking, my heart sunk. This was not the Paris Baguette that I knew and loved from Korea. For one, the baking area was much smaller and not as nicely laid out, also like an afterthought to the cakes and seating. The stacked casing were not a joy to look through in such as busy place, you felt rushed along. We just came back from two months in Korea visiting family and friends, so perhaps our expectations were set too high. Yes, I saw some of the things that I recognized like the pizza buns and sugar rolls, but so many of the things that I expected to see were not there. Signature items like the packed sweet potato and soft cheese cake buns were glaring absent. They had one cream cheese bun, but it's not the PB signature long bun. I asked the staff who were friendly enough about the items and others and admitted themselves that the selection and offerings are not the same as Korea, yet. So I do have hope, but on this run, it was an "in-and-out of the store" for me. Hopefully the bakery area is expanded and set up better in the future; but until then, I'll still will have to begging family to bring these here when they visit. read more

I have been eager to try Korean bakery company Paris Baguette ever since it opened its first location in Edmonton on Whyte Avenue. I was impressed by how large and bright the space is. There is a lot of seating where one can enjoy a baked item and/or a drink from the cafe. The coffee drinks are varied, and reasonably priced. There has a large showcase area where you grab a tray, put some waxed paper on it, grab a pair of tongs, and pick what you want. The wax paper is a bit hard to find and I noticed a number of people just putting their choices directly on the tray. Oh well. I assume they are washed in between customers anyways. I picked a few items that were already wrapped, such as a honey cake, a small cheesecake slice, and a half dozen mini-croissants. The cake was light and fluffy, its rice base very obvious. The cheesecake was dough-based, with the dairy element mixed in with the dough, giving it a cheesecake-like flavour but still maintaining a cake texture. The croissants were crispy and delicious, with a thin sugar glaze on top. I also grabbed a Paris Baguette-branded chocolate bar which I have not yet consumed. I look forward to coming back to grab some more cake, and perhaps have a cup of coffee. read more

My friend was ignored MULTIPLE times despite being in the line. She moved cash register and served the people BEHIND her before she even took her order. We tried to move to the 2nd register because we thought the other one wasnt working since they were just ignoring us but taking the other customers orders. My wife and I went there for the first time and picked up some pastries to take home. These pastries, even though they were now about 6 hours old, were absolutely great. I can just imagine, if we had eaten them when purchased! Paris Baguette is very bright and modern and there is plenty of seating in and outside. The service was great. It seemed that their prices were a little high but what isn't in this day and age. When you get good quality food you don't mind as much. Overall we loved the food. read more
