Folks who are looking for an alternative to traditional birthday cakes, many of which are fruit based. My only hesitation with ever going big here is my wallet would collapse upon impact. Chino bakeries would serve a cake for $20-25, where as shooting for the equivalent here might be closer to $40. I was in search of their version of croissant-doughnut. Their sign at the empty spot read available at 11am, 1pm only. I was standing right there at 12:55pm. I come to Paris Baguette for cakes and I used to come for the occasional shaved ice in the summer. Their seasonal occasion cakes are beautiful as you can see in the photo referenced. Their bakery also has good food but can err on the pricier side. I will say what you should not get is the green tea shaved ice. The shaved ice is not good here. There is too much ice and the consistency is terrible. For the price, it is okay but there are definitely better places that sell cheaper and more flavorful shaved ice. so many pastries and bread to choose from, I love their red bean mochi bread but that's about it, everything else I've tried are just not that good. They're either too sweet or too dry or simply weird. I've gotten so many birthday cake and most of them are overly sweet. I'd recommend the whole milk one if you like something less sweet, it's very light and fluffy. I'd actually only come here to meet up with friends. I have tried a variety of of their food including: Strawberry Short Cake, Raspberries/Blueberries tart, Lemon Cream Cronut, Strawberry Creme Croissant, Honey Toast, Turkey Avocado Sandwich, etc! I really love the system that you grab a tray and a pair of tongs to walk around. Snatch all the sweet pastries as much as your tray can fill! The pastries are all very pretty and you just want to eat them all! The decor of this bakery have changed over the years. You can tell that it's very bright in there, the chairs now have a cushion, and even the music is very trendy! Every food item is so neatly and beautifully packaged. This place is always crowded with people - morning, afternoon, and even evening hours! Getting a seat may be hard, just have a little patience! Drinks are an area of opportunity in my opinion. As a coffee lover, the coffee here is not up to par like they are with pastries. Or maybe it's just my taste? I do recommend the Peach Iced Tea - just make sure you asked them to not add so much sugar. The staff in this spot is extra friendly. They are very prompt in packaging your pastries, yet very neat! Every city should have a Paris Baguette. Compared to all of the other Korean bakery chains, it is by far the best in quality and assortment. The croissant and bread dough are also legitimate French-tasting goodness (whatever the hell that means). It's just good, ok? In Korea, you can find a PB is almost every small town, including two in the tiny downtown of Gyeong-ju that saved my life on multiple occasions when there was no sweet stuff to be found. Paris Baguette is owned by the mega chaebol SPC Group, which also owns Paris Croissant locations in Korean and BR Korea (Baskin-Robbins ice cream shops, merged with Dunkin Doughnuts shops). SPC is known of perfection across all of their businesses, where food is produced with the best ingredients, meticulously, and with speed. Locations have spread all over Southeast Asia and will continue to spread and grow as customers try their products. This is a chain that I am very happy to see arrive in the US, right now only on the east and west coast. Oh, and that one location in Atlanta, thank goodness. But seriously, you cannot tell that this is a chain from South Korea, so even the most non-adventurous folks would immediately fall in love with Paris Baguette just like the rest of us that know better. This Flushing location is large and in charge, taking up a substantial portion of the food court level of the Queens Crossing Mall. The bench style seating can get really awkward with strangers parking their tushies right next to yours, almost as if to say, "get the hell out of here, this is my space," with their ass. Don't mind my ass, I am just here for the "croissant-doughnuts," filled with sweet whipped custard, and sometimes covered with this annoying lemony icing stuff that I quickly scrape off. Yep, I tried the cronut thing here, it was greasy and tasted like stuff. Let's move on. Paris Baguette is also known for their Canele, which is a kind of egg custard and kind of bread thing = overall creampuff outcome. It is delicious, and very difficult to eat just one. They also have many cakes and panna cotta cream cups. Any pastries with their croissant dough are awesome. In South Korea, I was able to get Earl Grey Milk Bubble Tea at one of their locations, but I have not tried the bubble tea at this location yet. Definitely next time! read more

I remember when Paris Baguette was a really big deal in Southern California. They're not as popular over there now, but they're getting bigger and bigger in New York. There's something about Paris Baguette that just does not appeal to me. I always feel that their pastry is not as delicate as I'd expect it to be and sometimes their stuff can be quite sweet. Today, I saw they had imitation cronuts so I tried one even though they somehow wanted $4 for it. It was horrendous. The whole thing was an oily mess. My fingers were covered in grease. The paper it was sitting on was soaked through with grease. And since they slice it open to add a thin layer of some sort of citrus filling, the whole thing fell apart at the middle. I ended up throwing away more than half of it. I also got a fruit pastry which looked delicious. But the puff pastry definitely lacked finesse. It was sort of stale and crumbly, without the crispiness I'd expect from laminated dough. The fruit was okay. This is a trend with Paris Baguette. Their stuff ends up being expensive and taste not nearly as good as they look. Maybe 10 or more years ago it was something innovative, but with all the new Asian pastry places opening up with much more creativity, Paris Baguette is being left behind. read more

I come here pretty often since I work nearby. It is often filled with people who stay and dine in, but you don't get that overcrowded feel. I have tried a majority of the cakes, pastries, and sandwiches here and haven't found one that I dislike. I like how they are constantly changing the menu up. Check back for new sandwiches! I wish they would serve salads here like they do with the Manhattan ones. Tip: -Come in the afternoon to get their cronuts. -If you come after 8PM, the sandwiches are 50% off. -Different pastries come out at different times. Recently I noticed a sign that said their salad is discounted 30% by the time I leave work so I decided to give that a try and the mango one turned out surprisingly better than I thought, mainly due to the dressing. (I usually ask them for extra, since the tiny one they give just isn't enough for my preference) They always have seasonal and holidays specialized cakes or promotions ...this week is $2 off cake rolls and some Castellas. And soon they'll be rolling out the Thanksgiving cake... Fire that Latina with a serious case of RBF who refused to answer a simple question while she was 90% done with her transaction with her customer. If she can't multitask working in a busy area like Flushing then she shouldn't be working there. I simply want to ask if the price was for half of a sandwich or a whole while the line was empty. (Mind your, this was in the morning rush) I waited around for 10~ minutes, watching her take her sweet ass time, walking back and forth. Meanwhile the line was piling up and if it's 3.50 for two halves of a sandwich, that will mean I will have to go back , get it, and queue on the line again. I ended up not buying and walked to fay da bakery across the street where they are swift with their transaction that took less than a minute. I think i go here way too often for my own good...their mocha bread is bomb, make sure you get the one that is actually stuffed with mocha cream...so good. their pastries are always good with just the right amount of crisp/fluffy ratio and not overly sweet. their croquettes are tasty too and hubs loves their tuscan bread. I love their bread and cakes especially. But damnnn their servers are SO RUDE. Like calm down , nobody is giving you attitude why you gotta treat your customers like they stink and be rude to them!! I dont know why the manager having so many complaints don't educate his workers to be respectful. I've been coming to this Paris baguette since 2014 and I've seen the workees transition to new workers over the years, I can assume the new ones learn how to be rude from the old ones. But at least before their service wasn't as bad as it is now. Their manager years ago used to take the complaints seriously and do something about it, now they don't plain don't care. On top of that I ordered a Christmas cake (fresh cream vanilla with fruits) on December 25th and when I took it home for the family it tasted old and the cream was sour. The birthday cakes here are beautiful, you'll have to order the cakes in person and order it a day in advance. Tastes fresh, you get what you pay for. You know its fresh because when you enter, there is a fresh pastry aroma that fills the air. The pastries here are made fresh and disappear quick, so you know its good. This is conveniently located in queens crossing mall and is close to a lot of transportation. Out of all the bakeries in Flushing, I don't understand why slapping a French symbol on the logo makes things so much more expensive. This location sucks. The chairs are always full. The bread is overpriced. The macarons here suck. The cakes are really really ridiculously over priced for no reason. They taste just as good as the ones at the asian bakeries right across the street. There is no bathroom in this location. The chairs near the entrance basically double as a rocking chair when it ISNT supposed to rock. This place is so congested. It isn't a place where you can sit down, relax and read a book. Since then I haven't stopped very often, but I happened to stop by today while I was downtown to pick up a birthday drink from the Paris Baguette app. The staff was so wonderful! Everyone was so nice and courteous, and even the person sweeping the floor was very polite about it. The woman who took my order told me happy birthday, and it really felt like I was walking into a family owned bakery instead of a chain location. Stopping here for some pastries before heading back to the Municipal parking is always a must here. Not having many opportunities in CT, I'll always be grabbing a tray and tongs to grab some pastries for breakfast, lunch or a snack. Usually I'll grab a hot dog roll or a soft sponge cake to enjoy a couple days after afterwards. With the self service, you aren't waiting to get your pastries though some are special requests and you'll need to get an associate. Waiting in line can be a little long as it is a popular spot, but the wait is always worth it as they are quick to get you on your way. I have enjoyed their pastries on many trips and being located in the mall with easy access to the parking garage and the main road, you can pick up some items for your walk around Flushing or bring some home to share with friends and family. read more
