I remember when this Paris Baguette location opened in Palisades Park years ago to a ton of fanfare! Since then, a lot of new competition has popped up in the neighborhood, so it isn't quite as packed as some of the newer cafes but honestly, their offerings are still pretty solid. They run some great promos, like free coffee with a purchase after 11 AM, which is a really nice perk. The staff here is fantastic: super friendly and the service is lightning-fast. The space itself has a small but comfortable indoor seating area, and when the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating right out front. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll have to hunt for street parking, which can definitely be a challenge. Still a reliable and good neighborhood spot! read more

Came here for the drinks and pastries, disappointed in the beverages. We got two iced caramel macchiatos and a strawberry iced matcha. Not very tasty, had better, and the matcha was really weak in color and got a small amount of strawberry in my opinion. The drink to ice ratio was really good, the beverages were just...lacking. The pastries, go for the pastries. The coffee croissant donut and the raspberry almond croissant is where it's at. So good. Come for the pastries, not the drinks. Korean pastries @ Palisades Park, NJ Grabbed coffee, cream bun and twisted sugary donut. A lot of pastries looked burnt so didn't get them. My black coffee tasted burnt and the cream in the bun tasted too sweet and grainy. When the back door was opened by the baker, the sitting area became quite cold. My first visit to the Palisade Park PB. Very nice store, everything super clean. There are seating area in the back. All sorts of bakery and confectionery goods were stocked up and beautifully displayed on tables and glass window wooden shelves. Associates were really friendly and our checkout was a breeze. We got the chocolate ganache cake and few bread items. All were fresh with amazing PB taste. Surely will be stopping by here more often when we are in Palisade Park. read more

Amazing pastries but you need to eat them the day you get them. I don't think they use preservatives, which is great.

This location has gotten an upgrade after what I believe is new management that took over. What used to be very "Korean" and unaccessible to people of other cultures has gotten a bit more Americanized (more English signs and descriptions) and is really nice to see a fellow Korean that loves to share her culture with others. The cases are always full with various bread and pastry options and the service is always hustling which is nice to see when you're looking to be in and out with your coffee and goodies. Coffee is always hot and fresh, and if you ask for milk, the manager (or owner) goes out of his way to top off your coffee with some warmed and frothed milk which is a very hospitable touch. There is very limited indoor seating options (about 3 tables) which is to be expected with COVID and no more trays but rather just boxes for you to take to go. Some of my favorite treats to grab from a Paris Baguette includes a sweet potato twist, glutenous rice ball with red bean, and a savory curry croquette. All breads range from $2-$4 and coffee options vary from hot to cold specialty options. read more

This is a great bakery. The prices are fair for the quality of the product you get: it's fresh, not too big that you'll have to keep leftovers in the fridge for a month, and looks really close to the picture they have online. Just keep in mind that they taste similar to artisan cakes so they're not nearly as sweet as the sheet cakes you get at grocery stores. I got the bear cake, which was a little over $30. The only issue I had was that it wasn't centered. The cake was circular and was not centered on the platform they put it on, so it was very noticeable. Additionally, the eyes/ears/nose on the cake was slightly off-center, and when added to the fact that the cake itself wasn't centered, you could tell something was "off" about it. It just didn't line up when you looked at it. Even with this, I would go back for another cake when I have a special occasion. The staff is friendly! Which is always a plus. Coming to Paris baguette is my Saturday ritual. We usually get the chocolate croissant, we didn't see it so we got the drizzled chocolate croissant was a little let down by the lack of chocolate. My family has been coming here for years for their consistently, suspiciously delicious pastries. Every Sunday we roll in before the crowds and pick 5-7 of the same breads we get every week. Recently I've gotten into the habit of ordering their iced coffee which tastes like a milkshake. SO GOOD. I love the pastries and cake here so much! Some of the seasonal drinks are also pretty nice but sometimes are hit or miss. I give this place 3.5 stars because if you don't go early enough a lot of the pastries are already sold out, and sometimes the pastries with fruit are not that fresh. If you get anything with strawberries on it, be sure to eat it right away because if you wait a bit they will have that soggy fermented taste. Highly recommend the cronut (I actually like it better than Dominique Ansel's), garlic sweet potato (?) pastry, pretty much all the cakes... This time, last Saturday (12/12), we came back (had another visit the day before to get a cake) and got many pastries and got these two chocolate covered graham crackers from the checking out counter. Today I was grabbing these to give my family member and tearing up the plastic package then saw that these were best by 11/24/20. Not a day or two off, more than two weeks off. Recently dropped by to grab some pastries and was surprised by how awful this place is now. Use to go here on a regular basis for pastries and birthday cakes but found it more convenient to go to D'vant down the street since they have parking. The service and pastries were pretty good here, but now the service is terrible here. Don't think it's just me because it use to be packed. Now it's just empty. Looks like the staff is accustomed to that fact because they seem annoyed to actually have do something. With fewer customers the pastry tastes a little stale. Whole place has a 'no one cares' vibe to it. I don't care much either for this place and will have to pass. The place looks neat even though it is not as spacious. They did make good use of the small space that they have. You can grab your tray with brown wax paper and head right to packaged pasties or singly made pastries that are on display. I usually get my loaf of bread here that are sliced. I love making egg toast in the morning using this fresh item. Every time I come, I try to but twisted sugar donut because I was a fan as a kid. Broad Ave in Palisades Park has many Korean bakeries and cafes but I'll be honest, most of them don't have a good selection of pretty, high quality cakes. Paris Baguette is the only place I've found that has a variety of cakes and they are all aesthetically pleasing. Their cakes are also very fresh and not too sweet. My sister bought me a cake from here for my birthday. It was one of their newer cakes, the pink rainbow cake. It was delicious and very light. It was also totally instagrammable since it had pink ombre sponge cake layers and the naked cake look which is very popular now. I noticed they changed their cake cutter. The new cake cutter looks more elegant but I wish they still had their original cake cutter with the matches and strike pad in the handle. I'll still be back to buy their cakes though. read more

Having had the experience of Paris Bagutte franchises in Korea, the ones in the US, especially those in NJ, are not worth recommending at all. Although their daily-based freshly baked pastries are "fresh", other items have been found to be "old" and some of them have even developed "molds" on the inside. It is a well-known fact that many Koreans do not frequent PB anymore. The employees are rude and not at all attentive. They will all be talking in English and ignoring those customers who do not speak English. I definitely prefer the Palisades Park bakery across the street. read more

What can I say. Although I hear they put a lot of msgs so their pastries never go bad blah blah, I still love the taste of their baked goods. I like most of their pastries. I think their cronut is actually better than Dominic Angel's. They don't carry it all the time, but I make sure I grab one whenever I see one. They are so good. Sandwiches are just okay. I only buy pastries and cakes here. Their cakes are very expensive but they are yummy. The blueberry chiffon cake is the best. It has perfect combination of sugar and salt. Fresh, delicious, heavenly light and fluffy cakes is what I think about when I think Paris Baguette. I cannot attest to the pastries or coffee yet but the cakes are to die for. I was first introduced to Paris Baguette when a co-worker brought in a cake for a fellow co-worker's birthday. I was immediately hooked. The cake itself is so light and not too sweet, the cream not too heavy, I feel like I can finish off a whole cake on my own...and then probably die but at least i'd due happy. The cake presentation is phenomenal! Paris Baguette really does it right, it's so elegant, from the box to the little spatula with candles and matches, they can really get the party started. The cakes themselves are so nicely decorated with fruit and chocolate pieces as well as those little crunchy balls. I loved them so much i will now be bringing them to any sort of event I have to go to. My sister has been wanting a green tea cake for her birthday for years. I was finally able to make that happen. PB had a display of the most beautiful cakes one can lay their eyes on. I called in to see if they had a green tea cake available, apparently 1 was left. So of course, panic mode set in because I was on my way to a 3 yr old birthday party that I was already late to and couldn't stop by the bakery to purchase it right away. This is probably the worst Paris Baguette I've ever been to! There's always gnats or fruit flies flying around. They always seems to be "out" of either milk, or half and half, or hazelnut coffee, or cup sleeves, or stirrers. They only have 3 flavors of coffee, original, hazelnut, and decaf..... how hard is it to make sure there's always coffee in them. I've gon there on several occasions and either there's no hazelnut or plain, it's not like there's a bunch of flavors, there's only 3, not hard to have someone checking them everyone and then to make sure it's not empty. Hardest workers there are the tall white guy and the Latina woman. I don't understand how impeccable the kitchen looks, the kitchen staff is always cleaning back there everytime I go there, I love that, but the front always looks so dirty. The coffee area is always dirty, spilt milk and spilt coffee always. Everyone else there's seems to not give a shit. The Paris Baguette, off Route 1&9, next to HanAReum, is way better and cleaner. The staff actually spoke very good english, somewhat rare in ktown and provided decent service. I was a little sad that the frapp drinks werent available and had to settle on an average tasting smoothie. They had some very beautiful cakes which my boyfriend exclaims 'looks so fluffy!'. These Korean cakes are light and not too sweet, so if you prefer denser cakes with sweet, heavy buttercream frosting then this bakery will disappoint you. However, I just love their cakes and the light whipped frosting. I usually take off frosting from American cakes, but I will eat all of the frosting on Korean cakes. It's like whipped cream. Cakes are not cheap though... small cake is around $25 and can go upwards to $35 or so. I prefer PB"s cakes over Crome. They also offer a variety of traditional Korean pastries as well as more French type of flaky pastries with higher butter content. read more
