I have to eat here at least once a week. Big city quality right here in Paris TX. Very creative sandwiches with something for everyone. I love the chicken salad on a ciabatta roll. They have a daily special sandwich and soup which change seasonly. Deserts change daily and are always terrific. Their breads are exceptional as are all of their baked products. Their multi-grain bread is our house staple. Great coffee and espresso. If you don't make it for breakfast or lunch come by Saturday evening for pizza night. Outstanding! read more

Stopped here on a road trip between Dallas and Broken Bow based on the Yelp reviews and have to say we were a bit disappointed. I want to start with the positives, though. First, I've visited Paris a few times and I've been to I don't know how many small towns around Texas and I know you don't find places like this in most small towns. Places like this raise the bar for dining options in small towns. Not all small towns are receptive and can support a place like this so I really do appreciate the risk the owner took in opening this place. Second,the interior is really well done. Either this space has always been an eating space or they took early 20th century fixtures from a former diner and installed them here. It's even got a lunch counter against one wall with the swiveling stools. Now onto the not so good stuff. The biggest thing I have a problem with is that they apparently make all their sandwiches ahead of time and display them in the case by the cash register. I guess it makes it faster/easier for them to get through a lunch rush? All I know is that all three sandwiches we got had soggy bread from the mayo/flavored dressings. It's a shame because they probably go through a lot of effort to make that bread. Secondly - would like to see some sides other than chips. Only thing we saw were chips or a cup of soup. Maybe offer potato salad or pasta salad. Third small thing - the woman working that day was not particularly pleasant. She wasn't rude but we definitely felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. We were there an hour before closing time and there was another family in there with us so it wasn't like we were preventing her from closing up and going home. Maybe she was just having a bad day, I don't know. Back to the good - before we left I noticed they had a nice espresso machine and beans from some Texas roasters (like Addison Coffee Roasters) so I got one to go and it was great. Beans were ground just before extraction and flavor was spot on. If/when I come back through Paris I'd definitely give this place another shot. read more

Oh my goodness. My boyfriend and I were visiting in Paris for work related reasons and needed some place to eat breakfast to avoid hotel food. This is an excellent place to eat if you can appreciate real food such as real farm fresh eggs, bacon, cream and freshly baked pastries.....etc etc. The atmosphere is rustic and warm with the employees being very friendly. I wish this place was closer to where I live in Kansas. Highly recommended !!!!!! read more

This is my absolute favorite spot in Paris. I love their seasonal specials both sandwiches and soups. Their breakfast offerings are to die for, particularly the cinnamon rolls! They use local wherever they can. You can tell they're passionate about food and it's such a nice change of pace in this world. On Saturday night they have awesome pizzas which include seasonal special small plates and a special pizza. They usually have live music that night and it is BYOB. Great atmosphere. I love this place dearly because it is one of the few things that Paris has that we can be proud of. read more

I ordered sack lunches and snacks for a large corporate group meeting for 2 days in row and the Paris Bakery was amazing in every level. First, the food was outstanding and every single person in the group loved it. (not easy when you are feeding 30+ people). Secondly, the staff and service were simply awesome. The manager Kit worked with me ahead of time to organize all the details, and had no problems with our lunch order significantly increasing and changing the day before. Additionally, he was a great ambassador for Paris by giving suggestions and feedback for the local restaurants for the rest of the meals.
