I went to Paris hair salon on 9/14/2023. I am making my review here on Yelp, b/c the owner removed my honest review from her website. It is evident that they only want to portray the good reviews, while hiding the bad reviews from their site. With that said. I had my 1st appt with Barb, for a Deva cut. She chopped up my hair so bad, that I cannot style it, I have to wear a headband to cover the chopped up hair, and use multiple bobby pins to try to conceal this horrible hair cut. Barb cut so much hair off that it appears to look like a mullet. I knew things were going bad when she whispered in my ear towards the end of the process that I will love my hair in a month. I left the salon crying because of how bad she cut my hair. When a lady goes to the hair salon, she should leave feeling beautiful, like a million bucks! I left the salon in tears & shock at how she ruined my hair, which will now take several months to grow. Prior to my appt I sent photos of my hair to make sure the stylist can handle my type of curls. She ruined my hair. I called and was refunded for the horrible hair cut, but that refund does not take away from the fact that I have to walk around with a horrible hair cut for the next few months. I do not recommend this salon for Latinos / Hispanics with naturally curly hair. This salon with mess your hair up! Attached are pics of my hair before and after. read more

I started getting my hair cut here a couple of years ago, when I first moved to Glenside. I've had my hair cut a number of times by Linda, who does a fantastic job, and always takes care of my little extra requests, such as thinning out my thick mane of hair. However, I've gotten my hair cut by a couple of other hairdressers here, and they also did terrific work. They have the cutest little dog mascot that hangs out in the salons sometimes. The only bad experience I've had here was the one time my hair was washed by a girl who didn't condition it and clearly hated her job. However, last time I was there, the woman who washed my hair did a splendid job. And I'm always incredibly happy with my haircuts here. I would say the prices are moderate to pricey. I think my haircut runs between $35 and 40, I don't remember the exact amount. But for the work they do, and the time they take blow drying, it is worth it! read more

I was at school for four years down here before I decide it was time to find a salon in town and stop going home once a month just for a trim. I was really nervous about having a new hairstylist and it took me a while to actually decide on a salon. Paris is a great salon right when you walk in. The ambience is there and it's small but adorable. Lisa the owner ending up cutting my hair. She was great listened to exactly what I wanted, and also offered suggestions of what she thought would look good. Also this place isn't expensive which is always a bonus. read more

I first started coming to this salon about 3 years ago when I began at Arcadia University and permanently moved to Pennsylvania. I never really got my hair cut because hairdressers wouldn't listen about how thick my hair was and how poofy of not blow dried properly. Than I met Michelle, who is the only person I trust with my hair now. She trims, dyes, thins out, blow drys, and takes care of my hair like it's her sole priority. I love this salon and love being able to go there to relax while enjoying a few laughs. I strongly recommend this small salon where everyone genuinely cares about your service! read more

I started going to Anna over a year ago. Anna's attention and dedication to her clients is superior! One of Anna's concerns are discussing the needs of her clients with them and keeping that open dialogue going with each appointment. She gives the best advice and suggestions for maintaining your style, uses the best products, and cares about keeping your hair healthy. After years of coloring my own hair and getting a perm, I went to Anna. My hair was dry, brittle, an dull. Anna brought my hair back to life! My hair is soft, shines, and feels luxurious! I always receive compliments from everyone I know and strangers stop me as well to tell how my hair is beautiful. My goal was to have the perm out of my hair but not to lose my length. Thanks to Anna that goal has been achieved! She used products in my hair to maintain the color of my hair and it's integrity. I have thought on and off for years of going back to my natural color. I had complete trust and faith in Anna to bring it to fruition. We talked about it. Anna explained the whole process and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! After decades of being a blonde I am back to being a brunette! I know it will be an upkeep now but so well worth it! Weeks after making the switch, people are still stopping me and complimenting Anna's work! They love the richness of the color, the cut, the shine, and how the color Anna used brings out my features. I bought a groupon deal for single process color, blow dry and conditioning treatment for $39. When I called for the appointment, they told me it is just for the roots and I will have to pay $20 more. I was very disappointed to hear that, but didn't want to deal with a refund process. Anyway, I went in and found the staff very friendly and talented. I was happy with my haircut and color. My hair is only up to my shoulders lengthwise and they charged me $50 more on top of the Groupon. I was going to tip $25, but only gave $15. So totally it cost me $104. It might be cheaper compared to many places, but if you are offering the Groupon, you should be willing to honor it. read more

I have extremely curly hair and get the Deva cut. I have had a lot of bad experiences and a lot of great experiences throughout the years getting this cut. Anna from Paris Hair Salon is truly amazing and I will be going to her for as long as I can! She is friendly, down to earth, listens and does an amazing Deva cut. I found Paris Hair Salon through the DevaCurl website - I have very thick curly hair and have NEVER found anyone I was satisfied with to cut my hair. I called Paris and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who scheduled me with Barb on the following Saturday! So last Saturday I had my DevaCut with Barb. Words cannot describe how phenomenal Barb did with my extremely difficult hair. She spent over 2 hours cutting my hair, cutting individual pieces in true DevaCurl style. I brought several pictures of a curly style I admired on a celebrity that my last DevaCut stylist told me was impossible for my hair. Barb was open to this style and felt confident that my hair could look great cut into a similar style. Barb's expertise was evident as she cut section by section. She also gave me a refresher course on how to wash and style curly hair in the DevaCurl method. Paris Salon was an overall very nice, intimate salon with down-to-earth and friendly operators. I really liked how hair cuts took place in a separate room than color services, so the odor of hair color did not bother me throughout my cut. I will absolutely return to Barb for regular curly hair cuts. I finally LOVE my hair, and I have received many compliments on the shape, control, and definition that the new cut provided for my hair. I just got another Devacut with Anna. I have curly hair and, prior to coming here, had very hit and miss experiences with salons. Now I will never go to anyone else. Not only does Anna give me a cut that looks great from Day 1 but it passes the true test of a good cut as it grows in. Anna has also told me how to recreate at home what she does in the salon...with a minimum of fuss and products. read more
