I had been in contact via text messages with Michelle (who had done my hair previously) during the shutdown, anxiously waiting to make an appointment. I was told, by her, she would contact me when she knew they were re-opening. She didn't, so I contacted her. After several texts back and forth, we settled on a date and time and what I needed done. I took TIME OFF WORK to be there, only to find out she put me down for a different day (which I could not do)! She even tried to insist *I* had the wrong date until I showed her our text messages from a week before! What made me even angrier was the response of "Well, mistakes happen. Nothing I can do." No apology whatsoever, no consideration of the fact that I had to make the time by taking time off work, and no effort at all to try to accommodate me, and the soonest she (or anyone) could see me next was at least 2 more weeks away, because everyone's booked up from people waiting months to get in! I was so upset and angry I had to walk out before I said something I may regret. Horrible customer service and I *was* a repeat customer. I will never go there again nor will I recommend them to anyone! I left this same review on their Facebook page, where she responded with lies and excuses, and Jodi (the owner) backed her up, and the both of them replied I should have more compassion and grace (because they didn't like my review). Everyone who knows me knows it takes a lot for me to get upset and I rarely get angry, and i am not a liar. Just because there are *bigger things going on in the world* shouldn't diminish the fact I was screwed over or that I have no reason to be mad about it.

Used white putty to then create a faded French tip for index fingers. This is all hand painted! Mai is tight with her lines and technique. Instead of doom scrolling at home, this woman confessed that she's constantly scouring the internet to perfect her craft. If you want something done that's unusual (and doesn't require long faux acrylics) then show up at least a few days to a week in advance to make sure she can do it cause if she doesn't already know how to do it, she'll take the time to develop the skills needed to get the finish you want. They do provide a way to lengthen your natural nails without acrylics, they have a builder gel-type pre-made tips that are clear and don't sit thick on your nails. I've had to use them once when I broke a nail. My daughter got a full set when we were headed for spring break in Hawaii. Love this family owned and run business! Mother and daughter are the manicure techs and dad is busy answering phones prepping things, especially when it's busy. They're located in in between El Chilito & Les Schwab on hwy 99E in Canby. It's worth the drive. (They take their time to insure a perfect finish so depending on how long your nails are and how much hand painting and jewels you're adding you don't want to plan on this being a rushed visit...that also means they aren't filing into your natural nails and causing pain.

Then they juggle you with several other clients, barely giving you time to choose a color, and rush through the service. Depending on the artist, they'll completely skip steps or take short cuts (skipping the top coat, not filing under your nails after the dip powder, not fixing mistakes they make) and then as soon as you're done they're onto the next client while you're drying using the UV lights. Today I specifically requested a female artist, was completely blown off and put with a man, and then after my service, I used the restroom, they let a client sit in my seat, move my PURSE onto the floor, put all of her belongings on top of mine, I had to physically move her phone to get mine from under hers. I've come here for months and have seen it get progressively worse, especially when you're checking out they'll just outright yell "You have cash for your tip right?" A tip is a privilege, not a requirement, and by asking me that makes me completely uninterested in tipping. By letting a client move my belongings and constantly make me wait well beyond my appointment time, I am very disappointed. I also found out that the stamp cards, 10 total services you need stamped, is only $10 off your next service! $45 for a fill x 10, $450 spent all for a meager $10 off? This place has turned into a complete mess and money grab. I drive from Oregon City to come here, as friends and family recommended it, but this is not the salon it was a year ago. I'd recommend finding somewhere else if you want quality and your time (and belongings) respected.
