Some hold the record of "World's Largest" such as the rocking chair, wide chimes, working mailboxe while others are described as "very big" like the ruler, pencil, and birdcage. If you are traveling anywhere in the vicinity you should swing through. Some of the giant things are near the Workshop while others are scattered around town. Plan on spending at least half a day. Most recently my Mom and I dropped by on a Sunday afternoon to do a little shopping. The employee Julia was so kind and even stayed after the shop closed to allow us to browse a bit more! She showed us a table of designer denim that one customer consigned including many pairs of Joe's jeans, Paige and other big name brands...at excellent prices! She also explained that they had a selection of very gently used formal gowns in the back. There is a nice assortment of jewelry and household decorative items for sale, as well. I've bought a few things from them in the past, beginning with a blue Sharpstone grinder I got three years ago. The threads have gotten worn down since (and I lost the little scoopie, sad day!) so I ventured back downstairs to peruse their wares. I found a medium-sized silver Sabertooth grinder for $25, which was less than other smoke shops in the area. The employees have always been helpful and chill (a prerequisite to work here, no doubt), and they treat their customers well. A few Aprils ago, on 4/20, they gave away free handpipes for anyone that made a $10 purchase, which I thought was awesome. They have a nice assortment of vapes, waterpipes, and one-hitters, too. Good hookah collection and lots of shisha to choose from, if that's your thing. Even after 'shopping around' for the lowest prices on pipes and whatnot, Amused still had the best deals in West Lafayette. Cool people and quality products at a reasonable price point. They've definitely earned my repeat business.

I visited Cherry Canary around Halloween season, and there were a lot of people stopping by to look for pieces for their costumes. I can see why -- much of their clothing would make excellent costumes. But I don't see why you couldn't wear a wool sailor suit any other time of the year. You just need some chutzpah. Like a good vintage store, the clothing racks are jam-packed with clothes, so it's a little overwhelming to go through everything. But that's a good thing -- it just means they have a lot of stuff and a big selection. Everything is displayed tastefully, and they have a section for men's clothes and one for women's. They have little dressing rooms for you to try on the clothes, too, but be aware that the lighting in the dressing rooms is very dim. They also have a little corner for knickknacks and accoutrements, such as vintage luggage, glassware and planters.

First off, the shop owner here is SO nice and helpful. I mentioned the decade I was shopping for and she pulled quite a few lovely pieces down for me. The merchandise here is in great shape and I feel like I bought so many treasures while I was there. I feel like this shop has something for everyone here. I scored some 1950s dresses, and 1940s dress, and even a 1930s peignoir. The prices vary, with older items usually being priced higher. However, I think the items are worth the price because they are basically one-of-a-kind at this point and are in solid shape.
